They did a pretty good job over all. I got dip powder and I'm pretty sure the salon is still new at it. It costs about $40 just for the dipping so you better bet it should be perfect close to perfect. I had Jay and she really took her time. However, she did cut a little of my cuticle with the filer which hurt. And the bottom half of my dipping is not as vibrant, it almost looks ombré. Like I said, they are new to the powder dip world. Overall the manicure turned out good. I'll probably be back. Edit: Today is the second day with this dip powder manicure. The lady who worked on my nails pressed so hard that all of my fingers are sore. I actually won't be back or getting dip powder again. I thought she was just thorough. We're from Fenton but we were in Howell for the day and needed a pedicure. We looked at the reviews and decided too try this place. It wasn't crowded and their reviews were the best of the worse as far as reviews went. The building is clean and neat but the people aren't very friendly and they seem to be in a hurry. The chairs are old, worn and the ac was off (it was 77°) so we were all sweating. The pedicure came out fine but it sure makes me appreciate Fenton Nails. I won't come back here. read more

Good if you get anyone but the young woman or girl. It feels like she just does not want to be there. She reached in the drawer and grab some unwrapped cuticle scissors which made me wonder if they were ever cleaned in between, and her work is very sloppy. I had her twice for a pedicure and manicure and thought she might just be there on a break from school. When I got her again I thought I'd give her a try. My charge was $18 and I gave her a 20. She did not even attempt to give me any change I was going to give her extra money with my change as a tip but then just let it go. This business DOES NOT clean the instruments between clients. Both my daughter and I ended up with infections after a pedicure. The bowls aren't sanitized or even cleaned with soap. The clipping tools are taken from one client to the next with out even a wipe down. Absolutely disgusting. I had floating skin chunks in my water from another person. read more

Hallelujah!!! After a very unpleasant experience at a factory, I mean the previous nail salon I wrote about a few weeks ago, I have found a salon that I can call "my nail place"! When I arrived with two other people in my party, we were greeted by a young friendly woman. She did not rush us in deciding what gel and nail color we wanted, which is great, because there's nothing worse than being rushed to choose a color that one will have to live with for a few weeks! My pedi and gels were done by a woman named Jen, and she was fantastic! She was kind and accommodating to my requests. The French gel she gave me was precise and looks beautiful! First time at this location. I regret to say that I will not be back. Went on a Sunday, three people working and all had clients. I was fine with the wait. The woman that helped me was pleasant enough, but when it came time to do my nails, a man, I presume is an owner/manager started my shellac process. He was not friendly, was more interested in a football game, and did a horrible job. The polish he applied doesn't even cover my nails. There are spots where he didn't apply enough as we'll. I went there yesterday for a Pedicure. All seemed very nice until the girl working on my toes dropped her tool on the floor. She proceeded to pick it up and then was going to go back and do my toes. I pulled my foot back very quickly and told her she needed to get a new tool to use on my foot. She looked at me like I had two heads. I told her she wasn't out using a tool on my toes that had fallen on the floor!!!!!!!!!!! My heals are not smooth and still rough. Pro Nails is the lace to go if you want your eyebrows and lip waxing done correctly. I have been to several hair and nail salons over the years trying to get it done correctly. I usually end up with crooked brows, burned skin, or only the bottoms done. Here, they do tops, bottoms, middle, tweezing, and cleanser. They are very efficient and know what they are doing. This is by far the best nail place in Howell. It's the only one that feels clean and somewhat well decorated to be relaxing and spa like. They actually have someone working the desk so the wait list is handled in order. I've always had excellent manicures no matter who I get. I was overcharged by 2 salons, almost thrown out of another when I complained about my nails and waited 2.5 hours on a Friday night, and one salon was so dirty, I was afraid for my nails! A neighbor recommended Pro Nails so I gave them a try. Tom did a great job on my nails. He listened to me and gave me gel nails as I asked them to be. Their prices were very fair. If I could give this place a 0-star rating I would. I have never in my life have been anymore humiliated. And I have never written a review before because I normally am satisfied or don't care enough to, but because I was so humiliated I thought this salon should know. When I walked in, right away they were all speaking a different language. As I was sitting in the chair getting my nails done for my homecoming, the lady that was doing my nails, kept making comments on my thumbs. Because I have two different thumb shapes I didn't know it was going to be a big of a deal. She called over one of her co-workers and they both sat there laughing at my thumbs. She laughed and said "be careful with this one" and point at my right thumb. My face went bright red and I quickly wanted to leave. Then she charged me extra for my nails, while my sister and I had gotten the same ones. I am so frustrated and angry. My family doesn't have a lot of money and to charge me more for my nails because of my thumbs and to humiliate me with all your coworkers, is disgusting. The guy doesn't know how to paint, and while filing my nails with the tool burnt me multiple times and didn't apologize once. They were way to short and not evenly filed. The ladies next to me were very unhappy as well. He stopped in the middle to text in front of me for 5 minutes. I also had to have him redo 4 nails because he didn't fill them all the way. Came in to get a full set and a pedicure done, had my 10 month old with me. Everything was good up until the gentleman who was doing my nails children came out and was in my child's face. At one point the gentleman told the son to kiss my daughter (which he spoke in another language to do) once he kissed my child, I told him I didn't like that at all and to please not kiss her. Next thing the kids are bringing lots of toys out from the back and trying to hand them to my daughter, I only have one hand as my other is getting done I'm telling the children "no thank you". Finally they leave us alone, I go to get a pedicure and the children are literally climbing on my chair and getting in my child's and my face. While the others are laughing. I can tell others are getting upset with their children as well. I could NOT relax at all. It was a horrible experience, to top it off as I was getting out of the pedicure chair the older lady working there decides she can just come up and grab MY daughter out of MY hands!! SO DISRESPECTFUL! I grabbed my daughter back and told her that was so uncalled for and rude! Will NEVER go back here! Also will tell ALL my friends and family about how horrible this place is! I came in for a full set of acrylics and I don't know how many times I explained to her what I wanted. She kept asking me if I wanted gel and she wouldn't tell me how long it lasted. All she said was "it last until you come in". I told her I wanted the acrylic nails and that my middle finger nail is shaped oddly so it has to be fit carefully. She nodded said, "okay just the tip" and I said no I want the acrylic on the whole nail. Anyway, she said she understood and started clipping my nails. After nicking me twice with the nail clippers I got up and left. Don't try to sell me the gel when I asked for acrylic and don't rush when you're cutting my nail. Horrible. Won't ever go back. Will be telling my girlfriends to go anywhere else. Maybe somewhere that doesn't rush and nick their customers. read more
