Crane here for my previous pedicure and it was amazing!!! Best pedicure I ever had. Came back today and for a deluxe pedicure it was crap. The guy didn't do the last lotion massage like the previous girl did the guy was staring at the tv while painting my nails and doing my scrubs/lotions. RUN! When booking my appointment (we were a smaller group of women) I called 3 weeks in advance to ensure they had the staff and I was told they did so I booked it for a Sunday at 1pm. Day of the event I get a call at 11:15am asking where we were and if we were still showing up, I stated that we were showing up and that our appointment was at 1pm. Woman on the other line was arguing with me that we were on for 11am not 1pm even though they had also called the day before to confirm the 1pm slot. We walk into the salon at 12:30pm and see only THREE EMPLOYEES for the services we requested and still servicing others and taking walk ins, as we were early we didn't mind. I requested a gel polish change, no manicure just the polish change. An older female employee puts the foil on my nails and walks away to start a pedicure, not a big deal, until after about 20 minutes and a burning sensation in my fingertips later I begin to remove the foil myself and the employee runs over to put it back on stating that they need to soak more. After playing this game with her a second time about 5 minutes later I told her that they will not be soaking anymore and I take the foil off for good. This point the woman is still doing the first pedicure she started after putting foil on my fingers, so I am patient and wait for my turn (again it's a simple gel polish change with no manicure) the employee finished the pedicure and DIDNT WASH HER HANDS OR WEAR GLOVES before coming to start my nails. As there was some residual gel polish on my nails she used the electric file to file away and began applying the gel polish to my nails. In drilling she cuts my cuticles and files my previously long, thick and healthy nails so thin they hurt! The employee did such a sloppy job painting, they were splotchy and uneven, she even painted over the cuticles that were bleeding to help them stop bleeding! Fast forward 8 days from the day they were done; all polish has bubbled off, previously healthy long nails have broken, nail beds are tender to the touch and sensitive to heat because she filed away pretty much all of my nail and has exposed the nail bed, and at least one cuticle got infected. I had felt bad about leaving a $5 tip but honestly I want it back and the $35 I paid for the services. I have a formal event in 2 weeks that required me to have my nails done for and I now have to go without polish because I need to give my nails time to heal from this mess! I didn't see any of the employees wash their hands once the whole time we were there and honestly surprised all I got was an infected cuticle and didn't loose a whole nail. Very disappointed and unprofessional of this establishment and will never go back! read more

I've been going here for years and have almost always had great experiences. The last two times I've gone, a young man has done my manicure and it was terrible. The manicure is mediocre and careless with a quick dab of lotion and a painful 15 second hand 'massage' after. For the price, they should be offering a little more. The cleanliness is concerning. Tools are blatantly not freshly cleaned and the table I was sat at was covered in dust from the previous client. The worst part to me is how rude this young man is. The conversation was painful and he said so many misogynistic things, it was nearly impossible for this mother of boys to keep my mouth shut. I had never been here before, but decided to give it a try. We made an appointment for two manicures at 6pm. We walked in at 5:55 where no one greeted us. The man who uses the front left table sat me there and began filing my nails down because I had dip on them. He filed for so long in one spot I could feel the heat so strong it burned. When I mentioned it he did not care. He wrapped my nails in foil to get to rest off, which was fine, totally normal. His apparent "favorite " customer came in, who didn't have an appointment. He left my table and went up to flirt with her at the counter. He asked me to get up and moved a different chair into the isle for me so he could do her nails instead. With foil on all my fingers, I fumbled with my belongings trying to gather them, dropping my phone and sunglasses a few times. He just stared at me waiting to get out of his way. He worked on her nails so long I was bounced between FOUR different chairs so he could flirt with her. I was there an hour and twenty minutes (7:20) before my dip nails were even taken off. The remover was left on for so long that my fingers were wrinkled, my nails were dry and brittle and broke just from filing them. I do not know this persons name, but I will NEVER be returning to him. Having heard good things about Fiona, I will give her a chance before writing this place off entirely. read more

I recently moved to the area and had to find a new go-to nail spot. I've been to Expert Nails at least three times now and have never been disappointed. My first set of tips with shellac was a little on the expensive side but the fills were reasonably priced. The service has always been good and everyone in the salon seemed to be regulars, which I thought was a good sign. I recommend calling ahead if you are going anytime after 5pm just to get your name on the list and/or check if they have availability (although I have never waited more than 30 mins). I can't compare this salon with anything else in the area because I haven't ventured out much, but I plan on sticking with Expert Nails for now! read more

He speaks good English and wanted him to do my 6-year old granddaughter's nails so she could understand what was being said to her. We chose a particular color and it was substituted for another shade. The nail tech that did my nails had filthy nails and was chomping on gum throughout...just gross. The young woman who did my feet was very sweet and did a beautiful job. However it's not clean in here. Floors, walls, pedicure stations-- disgusting. They use tools on different people without cleaning them. The male that did my finger nails was appallingly rude. He was wearing a hat (1-Shot-Kill), blue plaid facemask, stationed at the last table on the left (when entering). He was so incredibly rude, condescending and made me feel stupid for telling them what I'd like for my nails. I got a full set, pink and white powder. Nothing crazy. He was aggravated with me. He huffed/ sighed and adjusted his hat closed to his eyes so he wouldn't have to look at me. I didn't even say anything unless he spoke to me. In between steps he was texting which is fine, but he was acting like I was the inconvenience and I didn't even touch MY phone. I would understand someone acting this way if I were rude or disrespectful to them or any employee/ coworker in ANY WAY; but I wasn't. I was very polite. I've been in service for MANY years, so I know what it's like to have "a problem customer" and no one in there was being a problem; including myself. This truly is the best nail salon in town. They recently got all new massage chairs for pedicures and updated the entire salon. All of the staff seem to be friendly and accommodating. Personally, I have only had Mindy and Fiona do my nails, but they both are very talented and just wonderful. I would put them above many of the more expensive "spa" mani/pedis I have received. My roommates and I came in to get our nails done. It was almost empty, yet two of us had to wait a half hour. My nails were being done by a man, he had a buzz cut (I am unsure of his name) and he was extremely rude and aggressive from the start. He was wearing a mask, but he continually coughed, on me, over and over without covering his mouth. He was handling my hands and nails very very harshly. I was getting acrylics put on, and he shaped them horribly, so an excessive amount of filing and buffing was necessary. He filed my ring finger so hard, the file dug into my finger and caused me to bleed, not once but twice. Both times he proceeded to acknowledge the blood, not apologize, and then put NAIL GLUE in it to stop the bleeding. Very unsanitary, I'm lucky it's not infected. Also, he was doing my nails, and he paused and used the same clippers he was using on me to cut his own hangnail. Do not go here!!!! You will be lucky if you leave with out cuts and maybe even an infection or sickness. read more

The first time I went to this place I wanted the powder dip. The guy insisted I get shellac because it is so popular and only 20.00 to get a fill. I did it. I liked them and I tipped him and the lady that did my pedicure 10.00 each. Today I went to get a fill and was charged 46.00 Just for the fill and when I questioned it I was told the cats eye paint that I pick was 8.00 more which would be fine but 20 + 8 does not equal 46 plus I had already tipped them the usual 10 dollars each. Even if the price was 8 extra dollars per hand that still does no come to 46. Pedicure was the normal 25.00 eye brows were 10 which is normal anywhere you go. Just not happy with not being told upfront the price difference and then they couldn't seem to account for what I was charged. Not going back. Just be ware. read more

TERRIBLE customer service. What is the point of setting an appointment if it doesn't happen? I made a 1:00pm appointment and stressed the fact that I would be on my lunch break. The man said "no worries you will have plenty of time" and to come in. Only to arrive to 3 additional people waiting for services... I checked in and they prompted me to wait.. I waited until 1:25 (by this time my lunch break was already half over) I asked how much longer it would be and all the women working had to say was "sorry" as she looked at the other customers waiting... To all future possible customers- find a different salon to take your business to or don't bother making an appointment with these people. You will be waiting anyhow. read more

I'm so disappointed. The technician was friendly, but discussed wholly inappropriate topics. It was uncomfortable. He picked the wrong color. When I noticed it, he did quickly apologize, but in the end, the manicure I paid for chipped before I left the parking lot. The shellac paint shouldn't come off easily and it chipped within 5 minutes. I had to soak it off and do my own when I went home. What a waste of $40. It's obvious they don't use new nail files each time. I'll happily modify my review if the owner contacts me for a refund. read more

I've been going to Expert Nails for years. Used to go to a competitor in the area and they told me they stopped taking appointments. Then as I'm sitting there, a lady walks in and says, "I have an appointment with....." I was furious that they played 'favorites' there. The manicurists were also very rude and always on their phones. I went to Expert Nails and have been there ever since. Fiona has been doing my nails for quite some time. She's very efficient and gets my nails done very quickly - she knows I hate sitting there getting my nails done! They always look great - never chip or break. They are also bringing on many new products that many other salons don't do. I love their cat eye products and now they're coming out with another amazing new line of them. I love the fact that they take - and keep - appointments. They also give wonderful pedicures!! You can't beat their prices either. highly recommend them! read more

Worst manicure & pedicure ever! The very mature women was extremely cranky & used cold water, when I asked for warmer water she about scalded me. (Which I felt was on purpose) Then didn't get all my cuticles off, rushed through my pedicure like she was pissed off, and left a lot of calluses and dead skin (which is why we go in ladies right?) then she complained about my OPI polish being too thin, then rushed me into the manicure chair barking orders at me. Wouldn't let me properly soak my hands to soften my cuticles to make it easy on her to get them off. She didn't use enough product on my cuticles for softener. Didn't get all my cuticles off left a lot of dead skin and I'm left with the crappiest manicure and pedicure I've ever had ( & ive had over 300 in all my years ) I will never go back. She wasn't going to massage my arm & hands until I asked and that was awful Too. Don't think any lotion made it in my hands at all with her 30 second per arm massage. When I paid the bill, against my better judgment, I only left her a very small tip and she screamed "what is this"? and pointed to my receipt very angry, and I said " it's your tip"! Everyone customers & Employees looking at me as if I'm cheap! Nope just not tipping when the services sucked!! and she started throwing things around and then speaking in her native tongue very angrily of course she was talking about me but I'm sorry I am not tipping for crappy service. And it is my recommendation not to go to this establishment if you want a good pedicure because you won't get a good pedicure or manicure there and you will be treated like cattle and barked at! I've been here twice. The first time was for a pedicure and brow wax on a Sunday afternoon. There were 2 or 3 other customers, my friend and I got right in and everything was great. I went back again for a brow and lip wax on my lunch hour yesterday. There were again only 2 or 3 customers. But the back room had at least 3 or 4 children behind a baby gate, in the process of climbing over when I got there. I think the woman who did my wax had been watching them. The kids spent the whole time I was there chasing each other around and screeching. I don't blame them, that's what kids do. The woman who did the waxing did a through job, despite the kids pulling on her and not listening when she told them to stop. As she was doing it, the wax seemed a little on the hot side but it was also 90 degrees outside so I thought maybe my skin had retained some warmth. After I'd gotten back to work, I looked in the mirror and my skin was a blotchy bright red. Tight and warm, like a sunburn! It lasted the rest of my work day yesterday and right on into today. I've been putting burn cream on my face in hopes of resolving the issue. Perhaps I'll go back for another pedicure but never again for any sort of waxing. read more

When you go there on the weekends, it will be busy like other places but they will always have more than 2 people working and they always do a phenomenal job!! I recently moved to the area and I have not bothered to go anywhere else due to their quality work! My shellac manicures last weeks and if ever one has a major chip in it, I go in and they re-do it for me free of charge!! I have brought friends here and they love it! The parrafin hand wax treatment that comes with any manicure (at no extra cost!) feels great and is such a great little something extra!! I highly recommend this place to anyone! Sadly Expert nails Is no longer my salon. I've been a customer for a couple years now and Fiona the owner is wonderful but her male staff treated me so horribly I refuse to go back. I wanted regular nail polish as opposed to shellac for my pedicure and full set and that was a MAJOR issue. First with the lady who did my pedicure but then it didn't stop there. The male staff who did my full set repeatedly pushed me to get shellac and when I would politely decline and tell the man I simply didn't have the funds to do so he proceeded to push it even more and even got an attitude! My final straw was him speaking to another employee in front of me and saying how they should "just get rid of the regular nail polish so people didn't have a choice" and that it would "bring in more money". unfortunately that wasn't the end of the rude comments either. I was so upset I didn't even ask to speak with Fiona I just left. I figured if she lets people like that work for her it's not the salon for me. read more

Received a gift card at Christmas from my dad and when I went in to get my nails done for a wedding, I was told that I could not use the gift card because it was purchased when the prior owner was in business. The name of the company didn't change, no where on the gift card did it say that the change of ownership would make the gift card invalid, and the only suggestion I was given was to contact the prior owner to try and get the money back. No other attempt was made to try and make the situation better in hopes to keep my business. The salon was completely empty and I feel that the majority of it is due to their lack in customer service. When I posted what had happened on Facebook, I was told to "go ahead and spread the word. I dare you" from the owner. So I am spreading the word that the staff and owner are rude and should have honored my gift card. I will never go back and I will continue to spread the word and send people to other salons in the area. read more
