The staff were very rushed and seemed inconvenienced by customers-- not a great demeanor / customer service presentation. Filing so quickly that the tech cut my skin surrounding my nail beds twice (once on both hands). Disappointed because this seemed to be the best rated nail salon in this area. Ugh! Expected more. Reviews may be outdated, as I definitely would not rate highly given my experience. I tried twice for dip nails and both times felt rushed and had cuts from the manic filing. Also, the dip lasted shorter periods than better salons I tried, but slightly longer than the worst. Will go elsewhere. read more

This was my first time visiting this salon. My service was less than satisfactory, with most of my nails breaking off with in a week of my appointment. When I called to ask about this, I was told it was my own fault for having thin nails and for selecting gel and not something they can fix. In my experience, other salons have made suggestions and consulted with me when they think a product won't work for my nail, this salon just took the money. I can't say enough good things about my experience at Q Nails! I showed Helen a picture of ombré nails I wanted and she excecuted them so flawlessly that dare I say it looks even better than the photo! She was meticulous in making sure every detail was perfect and I really appreciated that she showed me a sample of what she was going to do ahead of time to make sure it was what I wanted. Absolutely excellent nail salon. I can't keep any polish, gel or acrylic on ever. It usually peels within 24 hours no matter what. I think I have some weird skin chemistry or something. Great service, great people and they have a pretty flexible schedule always able to get in pretty quickly.

They got me in within a couple hours of me calling. I have never had a dip before and I asked for pink and white ombré. She did a couple of samples for me on some acrylic nails to see which colors and style I liked best. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. Definitely my go to place to get my nails done. I always call ahead, and every time I show up, they are ready for me. I get the dipping powder on my nails, and they have a HUGE selection of colors. Today I asked for the ombré and it turned out just like the picture I showed her. (She even let me see what it would look like with the "natural" base or the pink). Nice basic mani and pedi combo. Clean and a good value. (I had to wait a bit but there's a great resale shop a couple doors down.)

I am sitting in the salon at this very minute. A lady walked in for a pedi and fill after my daughter and I were sitting here for 10 minutes. The man took the mani pedi and is now doing her nails. I am still waiting to even start. I will not be back! read more

I have been going to Q Nails for over 3 years. My husband and I go almost monthly for manicures and pedicures. The staff is very friendly and they do great work for a very reasonable price. Their massage chairs are new within the last year and are very comfortable. It is very clean insdie and they take care to sanitize all tools between clients. I have also had the shellac done here and it lasts longer than any other place I've been because of the high quality work they do. Highly recommended! read more

I had a shellac manicure. It was a rushed and sloppy job. My nails were not filed properly or evenly and the first coat of shellac went on to my cuticles. The second coat did not go all the way to the edges, so you can see exactly where it started. One of the nails chipped within the first hour after I left. The price was right, but as the saying goes, you definitely get what you pay for. read more

WARNING!!!! I would NOT recommend this salon at all. I had never been there and was looking for a place to visit frequently for a pedicure in the Howell area. Went in as a walk-in and waited 15 min. Understandable since I didn't have an appt. However, during my pedicure, I was cut TWICE to the point they had to put something on it to stop the bleeding AND they also use the foot razor scrapper type ILLEGAL IN MICHIGAN. They also did not put a top coat on my nails. They did apologize and gave me one dollar off. If I could give NO STARS I would. But I think I am required to give at least one. I am surprised they have not been closed down. read more
