This is a review from my two daughter's who are 12 and 8. First of all, this place is horrible. My 8 year old sister can do a WAY better job. Their service wasn't that great, they didn't change the channel on the TV for us because it was on an inappropriate channel, they rushed a bit, didn't even check it over when we were drying our nails for any chips or anything and worst of all, it was SO expensive for a REALLY bad mani and pedi. After they were done and our nails were drying, they just walked into the back and started eating. After about 30 minutes, my dad walked in to see if we were done and they just said we are good to go. They never checked on us while we were sitting there. When we were done, they didn't check our nails and I pointed out they missed an entire chunk of my thumb. She just rushed to cover the spot and didn't check anything else. My 8 year sister didn't really know and got into the car. An hour later, we noticed the big chip on her finger and now her feet. They really need quality control or they shouldn't be in the Marpole area. Pigeon park probably has better places than this. They shouldn't be in business. No one should ever go. read more

Took my 6 year old son and husband for pedicures today and we had a wonderful time here! Two lovely ladies took great care of us. My son was thrilled with his first pedicure, loved the mini foot massage and my manicure turned out super cute. Conversation was great too, they gave us the low down on all the best Chinese food! Points for commitment to the game. I know that pro-nails has been around for over ten years. My low rating is due to the fact that she cut my tiny toes up in the attempt to clean up my cuticles. Even after I flinched, she still continued. As well, even though she had warned me about how my nails have not fully set, it had been 15 minutes sitting there with the fan and with my girlfriends; it was time to go. Lastly and most importantly (as someone who wears heels every day) the massage was nonexistent and kind of gross. She didn't clean her gloves and towel off, so the dead skin she cut off was massaged on to my skin. $31.50 for this mess. I don't recommend. read more

I have been a steady customer of ProNails Salon for over 5 years for gel manicures and pedicures and the occasional acrylic repair. Fong and Tina, the primary estheticians, are extremely good at what they do. They are both professional and pleasant in their dealings with me and other customers. They pay close attention to the cleanliness of the salon and the tools they use. I have never had to wait for an appointment. Even if it's at the last minute, they are always willing to fit me in. Best of all, I always get lots compliments on my nails and the prices are very reasonable. Even though I've moved from the neighbourhood out to south Surrey, I continue to frequent ProNails on Granville and have recommended them to close friends and family - all of whom have been equally impressed. One of my biggest beefs with salons I've used in the past is when the estheticians speak in their own language to each at length over the conversations of their customers. That is not the case here. The salon is small, comfortable and I can always count on personalized attention and an excellent result. I highly recommend ProNails on Granville. read more

I dont normally leave reviews but I feel like I have to here. I went in for a full set of acrylics a few days after they reopened due to COVID. I had assumed there would be new protocols. but when I went in the nail tech didnt bother to wash her hands or tell me to wash mine (I did before I came in, but I'm assuming other clients hadn't), they used dirty tools on me, I could see cuticle clippings from other people still on the cuticle nippers and the clippers, the file clearly had other people's nail dust on it, the station was dirty, and overall even by precovid standards it was disgustingly dirty. the nail shape was okay, but they started way too far away from my cuticles (which they didnt bother to push back, they just trimmed some dry skin off) so all of my nails came off within a week. I wasnt even doing any extra work with my hand that week. $80 for a solid colour set, not even with any nail art? this place is a joke. avoid this place for your own health and safety (not to mention your wallet) read more

The worse place I ever been. I arrive and get in the chair for my pedicure well only positive thing was that the water temperature was right . First she ask me if I want to buy a nail kit for 5 $ she said it's healthier because if not they will use there nail tools that they've been using with other clients. I said yes but the thing is that she still use a dirty brush for my feet and a old nail file for my fingers . When she did my hands she hurt me and I bled for a long time . The manucure did not look good and it cost me 75 with out tip for a regular manucure and a gel pedicure. I will go back to where I usually go in yaletown, it's clean and they offer you tea and cookies. They have very good skill and the price is good and the place is beautiful. Couldn't be more thrilled. I came in as a walk-in asking for a pedicure and a very unique manicure request: one hand acrylic and one regular manicure with polish (I play violin). They accommodated me and made me feel special and well taken care of. I'm usually ticklish and have sensitive skin and nails and I didn't have any issues during my appointment. Thanks so much! I have been a regular like-clock-work client of Pro-Nails on Granville since 2008. I have always been treated with great kindness by Hong, Fong and the staff and have received expert care. I get a monthly pedicure and have my brows tinted and waxed. They are very affordable and I have never experienced up-selling or pushiness. A good pedicure can involve the removal of ingrown toenails and calloused skin. I trust the women at Pro-Nails completely with all my nail and eye brow needs. They are very skilled and exceptionally skilled at dealing with in grown nails as well as repairs to injured nail beds that are no longer sporting a nail. I have been going to pro-nails several times a month for many years. The service is amazing. They always try to fit me in - even without an appointment (but, I do recommend calling first). They do a great job on the mani/pedis. I usually get the gel polish as it lasts a lot longer. I also go there for waxing services and I've been very pleased with that service as well. Gave the salon a chance to make up for a very bad experience during the summer when the back of my heels hurt very badly for two full months due to a pedicure. Even saw a Dr for advice on treating them and showed the bandages to salon manager, at one point. TWICE, she told me that she would offer me a complimentary service due to this. My shirt also got ruined my shellac nail polish during the summer visit. When I booked this time, even though I was still very nervous about my feet, I reconfirmed there would be no charge. THIRD TIME THIS WAS DISCUSSED! Two or so days ago only, that was. But then today, she still charged me full price at this costly December Holiday period!! I opted to pay for an extra treatment for my partner today, assuming that my treatments were complimentary. Totally unfair after years and years of going to this place!! Too many bad communication experiences thete have really upset me. I will go to the Better Business Bureau to resolve this. I have been coming here for years. I just had my monthly visit...pedicure, manicure and acrylic nails. The two ladies that own the shop and work there full-time are awesome. They are very professional and friendly. Their shop and equipment is very clean with tools sanitized after each use. I recently moved and did try a few places closer to my home without success. I travel 20 minutes by car to have my stuff done here. it is worth it! read more

Service here is terrible. It took over an hour for a french manicure and when it was finished the tips were uneven the nails were not filed straight. When I pointed it out they said to sit down and they would fix it - like I had another hour to waste in their salon! Sorry but I dont have that kind of time.
