I've known about this spa for a very long time like over 10 years as it use to be located at Oakridge Mall then it moved beside Samurai Sushi then to it's current location which is in an office building above Sylvan Learning Centre. What made me finally come here was its Groupon deal $60 for 75min hot stone massage. My shoulders and arms were very sore as I went rock climbing just a few days prior so I was really happy when the lady on the phone was able to book me same day as there was a cancellation. The appointment started and ended on time. The whole experience was 75mins but the masseuse did leave the room a few times I think to get the hot stones and do something... The massage was full body and I found it to be very relaxing, I almost fell asleep. The stones are placed along the center of my spine as my legs were massaged, later the stones were placed on my thighs as my back was massaged. I enjoyed the back portion the most as the masseuse kept repeating the motions over the knots on my back. I thought the pressure was hard enough so I could feel my knots moving. The masseuse does use a lot of oil so my skin felt nice afterwards. Overall, I felt relaxed and not so sore after the experience. The spa itself is nothing too fancy. It is in cozy quarters and doors aren't soundproof. I could here people talking outside during my massage but it wasn't a big deal, there was soothing music playing in the background. The ladies who work here are nice. I did have to pay taxes at the till as it is not charged on the Groupon. I would definitely come back here in the future.

She does amazing nail work, so simple but flawless, everytime I looking at my nails so satisfying.

First experience having a facial and it was AMAZING!…read more The booking process was super easy, I messaged them on Instagram (I was referred by a friend), and I got an appointment within 2 weeks. I received a confirmation email, and a COVID-19 questionnaire via email as well. Lots of parking too, it's located in a little plaza in Richmond. I didn't know what to expect since it was my very first time getting a facial, and I was immediately impressed by the interior/decor at the front desk reception area when I walked in. It's very modern/earthy/chic (eg. white walls, natural plants)- and definitely feels very calming and relaxing. I booked my appointment with Lisa Liang for a La Cachette Signature Facial, and she was very sweet and patient as she walked me through what to expect. Bonus: The washroom are gorgeously decorated as well, and very very clean. The facial lasts a full 1 hour and 15mins or so. The rooms have soft ambient music playing, and the heavy sheets are super super comfortable - you could easily take a nap! I'm not well versed in their products, but various cleansers, exfoliant and peels are gently massaged into my face. Mines ended with a cold jelly mask thing. They use a lot of G.M. Collin skincare products (I also got 2 samples on my way out). My favourite part was starting and ending with a deep breathing exercise with essential oils, and also a little face/head massage at the end. The La Cachette Signature Facial regular price is $135, but I went for a limited time 50% off promo. Overall, it was a very pleasant & relaxing experience. Service was great, and the place was very clean. Highly recommend this place (and Lisa of course!).

I have been searching for a good facial lady for a long time and my relative recommended this…read moreplace. I went in for a facial this morning and was greeted by a very nice lady. The downside is she speaks strictly Mandarin and I only know simple, conversational Mandarin. I couldn't understand all the technical terms she used to describe my face. Lol The facial felt so good. She cleaned my face thoroughly and also used some sort of machine to "make my face smoother." The session also included a hand and shoulder massage. Yippee!! The spa is very clean and service is friendly. The original price of my facial is $135 but since I was new it was $58. I recommend checking this place out but make sure you bring someone that speaks Mandarin. :))

I made an appointment for a facial because I have a party coming up. Upon my arrival they serve me tea and there's lots cookies on the table as well. They open at 10am and I actually got there about 5-10min early so I didn't expect them to be ready but they are!!! Everything is nice and ready for me. Due to possible infection on my face they told me it's best not to do a facial but they still put some cream and moisturizer on me. They also cleanse my face and gave me a small bottle of cream. ALL FOR FREE! They did not charge me anything and told me go back after couple weeks for my actual facial when my condition is better! I gave they 10 dollar tips and they even told me I really don't have to! The outside of the salon isn't the prettiest but inside is def stunning! Highly recommend this place ------------ 2019 October update I stopped going there because they are quite pushy when it comes to renewing your sessions. I have been going every month over a year and it is very relaxing but I don't see much improvement in my skin.

this popped up on my feed a while ago, and i'd been curious to try it ever since…read more face wash yvr is located on the third floor of aberdeen square, not to be confused with the more famous and much larger aberdeen centre, though the two are connected. located next to the aberdeen station. this was my first time trying a head spa combined with a facial, and it leans more toward a relaxation focused, sensory experience rather than a results driven treatment. cari, the esthetician, guided the entire session with a calm, gentle approach. she wore a mask and gloves throughout, which i appreciated, and was careful to avoid getting water around my ears. the treatment began with a scalp analysis to check for oils or dryness, and she regularly checked in on water temperature and pressure, which made the whole experience feel attentive and considered. the setting itself feels more like a cocoon than a typical treatment room. the lighting is low and washed in deep blue tones, giving everything a calming, almost underwater feel. the treatment bed is a large, curved unit with a glossy finish, softly lit from below with a glowing strip of light along its side. beside it, a small cart holds neatly arranged tools and products, adding to the clean, controlled feel of the space. once you're settled in, the outside world kind of fades out. cari gently removed my makeup but left my eye makeup on. they don't double cleanse here, explaining that it can strip away the skin's essential oils. she also mentioned that using very hot water when washing your hair at home can have a similar effect, and suggested keeping it warm rather than hot. the facial and head spa portions were fairly involved with a body massage that happened simultaneously. as my face and scalp were worked, a gentle vibration from the bed's built in massager ran underneath, creating a layered, full body experience. i asked to have the pressure a little gentler. at one stage, a dome shaped fixture was positioned over my head, releasing gentle streams of warm water from above. the water arced downward in thin, steady streams, almost like a soft rain shower, rinsing through my hair while cari continued working along my scalp with slow scratching and massaging motions. it created a calming contrast between the steady warmth of the water and the more focused, methodical pressure through the scalp and neck. my hair was washed and rinsed several times with careful attention along the scalp and hairline. i wasn't told exactly what products were used for either the hair or the face, which might matter if you're ingredient conscious, though there was no push to promote or sell anything afterward. the focus felt very much on the treatment itself. during the facial, a warmed double jade roller was used across the face, followed by a hot face towel draped over my entire face. it felt very relaxing at first, though at one point i noticed a strong lemongrass or eucalyptus scent, with a faint underlying musty note that didn't quite match the otherwise clean feel of the treatment. i was told the towels were infused with essential oils. afterward, a cold mask was applied for contrast. smooth glass balls, about the size of harmony balls, were also used during part of the massage, gliding across the skin in slow, cooling movements and pressure points. at one point my hair was zipped up inside part of the treatment device and i could see steam drifting upward in the blue light, giving it a slightly futuristic, almost sci fi feel. there was no smell of singed hair or anything concerning. it appeared to simply be part of the steaming process. my hair was blow dried at the end, though it didn't come out as silky or soft as i had imagined, so manage expectations on that front. i went during a limited time promo, priced at $75 plus gratuity. there was a slight mix up with the total at the end, but it was rectified without much fuss. overall, a unique first experience combining a facial and head spa, lasting about 75 minutes. lots of massage elements, attentive care from cari, and an immersive, almost otherworldly setup. best suited for those looking to relax and enjoy the sensory experience rather than expecting dramatic before and after skincare or hair results, tucked away on the third floor of aberdeen square.
