I've since hired that electrician for several other things and have been very happy. I think Ben took advantage of my emergency situation. The bathrooms were outdated and although we wanted to replace the cabinets, it wasn't in the budget. We "settled" for painting them, and we're so glad we did! Joe did an outstanding job. He is a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want in a painter. (I'm something of a nit-picky perfectionist myself.) The lines were crisp and exact. You can tell from the results that he really takes pride in his workmanship. That being said, Joe has hustle! He was extremely efficient. He worked fast, but still with accuracy. As a homeowner, I've definitely worked with contractors that take long smoke breaks, lunch breaks, snack breaks. With Joe, there is no lolly-gagging. If he's on-site, he's on-task, getting the job done. Joe is also very knowledgeable, and with a diverse background in general contracting issues, he's more than happy to provide input and act as a sounding board for anything else you may have going on project-wise. He's also humble, and knows when to refer you to a specialist. Along with painting the cabinets, he installed all of the knobs and pulls. Could I have done that myself? Vincent charged me 400 dollars for some handles installation, cabinet sanding and painting. Vincent said he was done for the day and when I checked his work in my master bathroom, i noticed he drilled the holes on the wrong side of the cabinet doors and tried to cover it up with caulk and did not mention anything. When I saw it and called him out for it, he said he made a mistake and that he would give me a discount. I told him that I questioned his integrity, because if he had any of it he would have mentioned the mistake instead of trying to cover it up and not said anything. He also did not instal two other handles appropriately, missing two screws and damaging another cabinet door. I'm certain that Vincent was on some type of recreational drug as he kept going out to his car and his eyes looked very red. Since his terrible work at my home over a week ago, he was supposed to come back and fix the items on the pictures he missed and to replace the cabinet doors he damaged. He offered to paint the entire cabinet, I said very well. Then he stood me up, I will be making a report to the Better business bureau.

I got lucky and was referred by a friend that said James was a solid guy and he's fast and meticulous. Since this flood happened back in October 2016 and it's now Jan 2017 and my general contractor really never finished the work. i've lost trust in people in painting, construction, and drywall. I have on camera the other painters are just young 18-24 kids that blasted their stereo and I saw them hit my walls with their ladders and then not fix it- to only have the contractor tell me it was already there when i brought it to his attention.
