Communication is inconsistent and they don't return calls/texts in a timely manner or at all! No written estimate. They charged much more than the original verbal estimate and I called them back for the work that they did but was still dripping, not working, not the product I requested! They recommended more work above the service requested but they haven't even fixed the work they did. They took undue advantage of me and relying on ethical workmanship. This braddah proves that real hero's don't wear capes in a crisis! Just my luck my water pump started acting up when the State of Hawaii finally did a lock down for Coronavirus. I called all the catchment providers in my area and none of them had time to come out for my issue. Also called another plumber who changed out my switch and couldn't pin point the problem. Called Island Catchment and one of the guys they referred me too was Pro Plumbing. I need to say the owner Ody was working one man show and he showed up at my house when everyone else couldn't. He quickly pin pointed the issue which was my pump falling out. Being that my pump was in my laundry room in my house it gets pretty loud. After talking to Ody on his recommendation on an on-demand pump (Grund Fos Scala 2) which has more pressure like county water and uses less power and room. I was very impressed quick, efficient and awesome work quality. I got awesome water pressure and I barely hear the pump running. You would spend nearly the same if you got pressure tank with loud pump so why not upgrade to on-demand? So much better! Pres Trump just signed Coronavirus stimulus package and he just bought me a new pump!! Great investment for house. I will be calling Ody for future projects. Highly recommended! Way over charges, to replace orifices on new gas stove. Stove cost $800. Replace orifices $600.plus. I am retired contractor and only did it for the warranty, could have done it myself. Defeats the purpose. Never would I have imagined, for 1hr work, with parts provided. I watched as he leveled the stove, and it is not level.i finally paid the full amount to keep the peace. Definitely was not satisfied with his aloha, should be ashamed of himself. Although my mistake for not getting a quote upfront. read more

Needed to repair the faucet in the shower so emailed the business on January 30, 2023. They replied within several hours asking for my address. I replied with my Hilo address that same day. They then replied that they would contact me when they would be in the area. It has been two weeks with no further communication from them. Not the way to conduct a business. read more

We discovered a leak behind our tub after noticing soaked a soaked wall and baseboard. I called Pro Plumbing & Solar at 4pm. He came by the next morning and he fixed the leak fixed by 1130 the next day! He was efficient and went above and beyond to not only fix the leak but extended the tub spout pipe to help prevent future ones. We just moved into our new home and the hot water was not working. Checked gauges n breakers but nothing seemed wrong. Called Ody at Pro Plumbing and inquired the cost to check the water heater. If nothing to do - free inspection. Pay for any repairs required. He was able to come out the next day! My husband was sooo happy! A nice warm shower would be a welcome change. After checking-it was only the breaker. Both had to be on. Somehow the breaker went to the off position. I was relieved that it I didn't need a new one! Ody was very helpful and courteous. I had water stains slowly appearing at the base of multiple walls in my house in Hawaiian Paradise Park. I called two of the highest rated plumbers on Yelp located in the area. Both said I needed to do a re-pipe but both said the job was too big for them. Neither was able to give a ballpark estimate on the cost of a project this size. One of the plumbers I called recommended Pro Plumbing and Solar. Pro, Plumbing and Solar came out to my house a gave me a concrete quote that I thought was pretty fair given the scale of the project. Within a month Ody and his team started working. Ody walked me through all the steps and showed me exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. He took special care to make sure he only made holes in drywall when necessary. He explained to me exactly what my quote included and never attempted up sell me services or products. In less than five days, Ody and his team re-piped my 3 bedroom, 2 baths, and kitchen. Ody also hooked me up with one his drywall buddies and all I had to do myself was the painting. The Pro, Plumbing and Solar team were very professional, respectful, accessible and responsive whenever I had questions or concerns. Amongst this whole pandemic that is affecting our island, I wasn't sure I was going to get such a prompt as I did. I emailed on a Sunday, received a call Monday, and the plumber (Conrad) was dispatched to our house on Tuesday morning. All of 10-15 minutes and our toilet was fixed.
