I've been going here for 8 years with my family. Dr. Dispenza is my treating doctor. He's helped me with acute pain when I could not move at all, thru horrible life stressors, thru marathon running, etc. I've been adjusted by at least 20 different chiros over the years and he's among the best for me. My kids like him as well. Kathryn is an office gem. Her knowledge of the body and how to get at various muscles to stretch them is amazing. I always enjoy working with her and find I learn something new every time. Chiros like any other body worker have their own unique touch. Dr. D is muscular, with an athletic build, but a gentle touch. His set up is very accurate for me and it takes little force by him to move things where they need to go, where I have had others unable to do so. He is on the quiet side but knows a lot about the body and how to treat it, beyond chiropractic. read more

I've been to a lot of chiropractors over the years, and this is the best office I've been to. I've been treated by both Drs Mullen and Pollack, who were referred by my retiring chiropractor. The support staff is friendly and professional; they have a physical therapy area so you can learn what to do at home (and give you a better adjustment), and my adjustments have been spot on. Covid-19 Update: There are few silver linings to this pandemic, and one of them is that the parking lot at Proactive Chiropractic has went from moderate annoyance to dream park-scape. Dr. Pollack and the rest of Proactive Chiropractic have JUST reopened up their office and pretty much as soon as I saw the email, I went to book through their *announcer voice* convenient online booking system! That's right Johnny. But for real, they are taking all of the precautions and more that you expect people who care to take. There is only one doctor on at a time, there is only one patient in the office at a time. There is one front desk associate to help you. Both the doctor and the front desk are wearing masks. There is one chair in the waiting room. As soon as you enter the office you're instructed to wash your hands. There is a sign that says please wash your hands before and after you see the doctor. The adjustment apparatus and rolly thing (technical term) is disinfected after every patient. You must wear a mask during the visit. I mean... I don't know how they could get ANY safer. And it makes me feel 100 percent comfortable visiting the office and getting my adjustment, which I was in dire need of. Dr. Pollack is as wonderful as ever. The front desk associate was as nice as a person could be. That's one of the many reasons why when anyone in my vicinity (which unfortunately hasn't been a lot of people as of recent), but if ANYONE says "My back hurts." My first and most immediate response is, "You should see my chiropractor. I have a great chiropractor, he's right off 7 locks." I can't tell you how many times I've said that, and I can't imagine how many times I will in the future. read more

I have been going to Dr. Pollack for years now and he is an excellent chiropractor that I highly recommend. I have multiple sclerosis and he always puts everything back into alignment. I was greeted by the front desk staff Shamaun and wonderful (I did not get her name) and Katherine the physical therapist are also excellent at their jobs as well. I had a strong distrust of chiropractors. It was suggested that I see one and I apprehensively made an appointment. I was added to Dr Pollack's list of patients. I told him about why I didn't believe in chiropractors and what my major complaints were with my back. He made me feel very comfortable. After just one session, I found myself signed up for a second session happily. I found myself to be looser than I expected to be. I've gone back several times and plan to make more appointments. Our family goes to Proactive Chiropractic for our PT. They offer traditional and non-traditional (acupuncture) modes of treatment. Dr Molly is my husband's therapist and she has helped him with his Parkinson's. She also helped me with severe shoulder pain. Dr Bac augmented the sessions with acupuncture. The entire staff is very helpful and professional. They also take cleanliness very seriously. Both patients and therapists are required to wash their hands before a session. All of the staff there are amazing. I have received excellent care for my neck, back, and "bowler's syndrome". I am a busy mom and speech therapist myself. I have gotten care by Dr. Dispenza, Dr. Sihmon, and Bach Dinh. I have gotten acupuncture and cupping from Bac. Dr. Dispenza helped restore function, reduce pain, and increase my health for my back and neck pain. Dr. Sihmon also helped me reduce my pain using innovative treatments I was not aware existed. I even have started to refer my own patients and coworkers there. After all speech therapists bend over all day helping adults and kids; we too have back pain from chronic maladaptive movements. I have brought my son with me to my appts so childcare wasnt need to come to my appt which can be problematic. Front desk staff are friendly and caring too. I appreciate that the focus is on helping you to get better, not just treating the symptoms. My first visit included a lot of helpful physical therapy exercises to help along with the adjustment. I'm offered the rolling table before adjustments, which is helpful as well. Dr. Mullen has been my provider so far, and I appreciate how personable he is and that he doesn't use a cookie-cutter approach. Each visit has been different because I feel different each time; no two adjustments have been the exact same. I always feel better afterward, and there's no pressure to go a certain number of times. I started going to this practice after having a massage at Massage Envy that left me in terrible pain. I was recommended to see Dr. Pollack and have actually been seeing him on a continuous, monthly basis for I think, now a year. My pain from that massage was gone by the time I left his office and I just knew this was the practice for me. (Why I have waited until now to make this review, I do not even know!) I recommend Dr. Pollack and this practice over getting a massage hands down, every time, all the time. Any time I talk to friends after their massages everyone seems to have aches and pains and I tell you what, it seems to be the same story time and time again! Dr. Pollack will fix you right up and you will leave his office without those aches and pains! I saw him weekly, then bi-weekly and then monthly. I sit in an office chair for 8+ hours a day, and in my vehicle driving a lengthy commute to work, so all of that combined warrants me a trip to the chiro office monthly. The office accepts my insurance and I am grateful that they process my copayment once my appointment has ended and then immediately email me a receipt. During Covid I am able to access the online patient portal to make my appointments and cancel or reschedule easily. The office safety protocols make me feel safe and at peace among the staff. The desk assistant wears a mask and politely asks me to follow the guidelines in washing my hands when I enter the waiting area and before taking a seat while awaiting my callback to see the doctor. I am able to make a few appointments in advance which assists me greatly with my busy work and family schedule. I never feel rushed with Dr. Pollack. He is willing to answer my questions and always asks if there are areas that I need him to focus on at every appointment. I know that keeping up with the consistency in my appointments has helped with my personal body adjustments and overall health, but I don't feel any pressure from the doctor or the office to make those appointments or make them more frequently or abide by a rigorous weekly schedule like many offices often insist you do. I highly suggest this practice for your chiropractic needs--and other doctors are available there based on your specific injury or current pain. I have only had experience with Dr. Pollack and once with Kathryn Gitthens who Dr. Pollack recommended I meet with when I complained of carpal tunnel pain in both arms. She showed me some excellent exercise techniques to try daily to work out the pain I was experiencing from typing at my desk so often. She was so patient with me and her instructions were so detailed I have never forgotten them! Someone once told me that everyone should see a chiropractor since the day we are born because our backs become out of alignment since that very moment. While that may sound a bit dramatic, it certainly makes you feel better once you pay the doctor a visit. read more

Proactive Chiropractic is the best! They really have the art of filing Medicare claims down to a science. Their chiropractic and physical therapy staff, as well as their office staff is very knowledgeable and professional. One of the most amazing things to me is that they always operate on time, which is invaluable to me. The physical therapist even told me how to advance my P.T. exercises on my own, just before they were about to close for the corona virus, which I am doing and getting stronger daily. I was able to keep doing my exercises and advancing them on my own to the point where I no longer have any pain at any time! I highly recommend them. They didn't make me a forever patient. I needed a chiropractor years ago and found Proactive Chiropractic on Google. My appointment was with Dr. Dispenza by chance, and he is THE BEST. I am so thankful that I found him. Even when living abroad, I would wait to visit home so I could see Dr. Dispenza if I had any issues. My now husband had a labrum repair surgery after a shoulder issue and was in constant pain for years after the surgery, until he went in to see Dr. Dispenza. Best Chiropractic in Maryland hands down. From Doctor Pollack's care to Jillians, and Tonyas customer service. I have been overall at least 30 times and all my adjustments were always spot on and they know the musculoskeletal system in extreme detail. Nothing has changed after COVID, they take extra sanitary precautions and the level of care is the same or even better. Dr Pollack really diagnosed the root of my pain and really relieved the issues I was experiencing. He is very personable and is extremely attentive to the vertebrae. I had my first experience with this PCPT practice about three years ago, after long suffering from back pain (shifted disk, pressured nerves), the latest then had been for almost a year. After a course (and based on my X-Rays) Dr. Mullen then offered me a small set of physical exercises that I managed to do every morning (it takes about 10 mins max), and I haven't had any back pain for the last three years, which was really long for me. Finally, last Sunday, I pulled the muscle and something in my back hurt. This time I went to Dr. Dispenza (since Dr. Mullen was out and then booked) who squeezed me in (as I couldn't wait much longer). I had my second visit this week today and I feel so much better already, plus a couple of new exercises also helped. read more

And he will find areas that you didn't even know were causing you pain/tightness/discomfort. Absolutely the best Chiropractor ever. I am 78 years old and remain fairly active, playing tennis five or six days in row. Sometimes I over do it, and experience varying back issues. Groupon Review: Having never been to a chiropracter, I was a little skeptical of how this entire visit was going to go. Consultation, adjustment (with Dr. Mullen), and massage (with Carroll) went amazing. I think I screamed "Oh Sh*t" and "Oh My God" more times than I can count; really, I was trying to tune down the profanity that was about to blurt out of my mouth every time something cracked & popped. Dr. Mullen was super friendly, knowledgeable (dumb it down to me and explain things to me? Check!), and Not Dr-Uppity-Stuck Up (shocker, but another plus!). Proactive chiropractic is a terrific operation. IAll the staff are very warm and caring. I have seen Dr Marshall Dispenza there for many years, and the results have been amazing. Dr D has seen me through sciatica, providing me with treatments and home exercises that eliminated the pain when physical therapists were unable to help and Orthopedist offered surgery. Have continued to see Dr D on a maintenance level for many years and he is always attentive to my current level of health and wellness and tailors his treatments to that.
