Online appointment on their website was easy. Pretty efficient process as they sent text reminders with the address and also a reminder to check in by clicking on the link from the text. Once I was in the waiting area, a male staff member came out to let everyone know to pay attention to the screen to make sure our names show up and how many people are on the wait list. He explained that the ones who made appointments are given priority. He also asked for everyone's patience as there were 23 people waiting with 5 phlebotomists. I really appreciate that he set the right expectations. I was assigned to Kim and she was amazing! Really nice, friendly, helped make me feel at ease and best of all, it didn't hurt when she poked my skin with the needle. Thank you!!! I was in and out of there in 20 mins.

Got here not only is there tons of parking and it's free. They got me in within five minutes of my appointment time. Rodrigo was my phlebotomist and he did the best blood draw I've ever had done. He also caught on my next labs that the test I'm having done needs to be done 7-9am, that was great because I already booked my appointment for 10 and had time to change it. Great catch on his part! Highly recommend this lab.

This is just a re-review two years after post-op work. I've had other neck, shoulder, and…read moreback-related issues, and even after coming to Dr. Chambi specifically for treatment of thoracic outlet syndrome, I've been grateful that he and his office have been able to help me with issues not related to one of his specialties in TOS. More specifically, I wanted to write this review because I've been sad that some people are still trying to "cancel" Dr. Chambi for a lawsuit that happened decades ago. I don't know the details, so I can't defend him or speak about the affected individuals from that time. All I can say is that whatever happened back then doesn't factor into how I judge him today. Dr. Chambi has been nothing but kind and helpful to me. He always listens to any potentially nerve-related issues I have, especially since I deal with a lot of neuromuscular pain on a day-to-day basis due to my computer job. He is one of the few doctors where I don't have to wait at least a week or two just to get an appointment. If I need a refill on medication that helps me sleep at night, such as Soma/carisoprodol, it's easy to call the office and let them know I need a refill because I still medically require it. Of all the doctors' offices I've been to for my chronic muscle and nerve pain, this is the only place that recommended this medication, which has been life-changing for my sleep over the last few years. Whenever I'm in a lot of pain, I always think of Dr. Chambi's office for recommending this medication, which I didn't know about before I started seeing him. He and his team have also been very helpful with my insurance. My insurance, Cigna, denied my claims for MRIs on my shoulders and lower back for the typical silly reason that they needed more information, even though I'm in pain doing simple tasks like computer work, reaching overhead, or even carrying mildly heavy things in certain positions. Thanks to a lot of back-and-forth, persistent communication from Dr. Chambi's front office, his team was able to convince my insurer to approve my initially prescribed shoulder and lower back MRIs after getting X-rays first. Through this MRI push, I was able to figure out that I had mild bilateral shoulder tendonitis and bursitis and even some low back disc herniation and left facet hypertrophy. If it weren't for Dr. Chambi's team, it's possible that I would have had to deal with undiagnosed pain all over my body or have to pay for three expensive MRIs out of pocket--over $1,000. Through these MRIs, Dr. Chambi prescribed me naproxen, and used MRI results to continue treatment with other therapists/specialists and have a better understanding of what was going on with my computer repetitive strain that I was doing to myself. The fact that I can always call Dr. Chambi's office and have them start a peer-to-peer insurance review or at least reach out to insurance to attempt another request--which is done in a timely manner--is really helpful to me. Seeing how many patients still visit Dr. Chambi for various nerve issues, and how he seems to treat all his patients like family rather than just another number in a system, makes me sad that some people discredit him because of an older lawsuit that has nothing to do with the patients he sees today. This can be a huge contrast to many so-called top doctor offices where just reaching the front desk can be a challenge in and of itself. I also want to reiterate, as someone who underwent a simple scalene decompression microsurgery to relieve my hand grip issues from my TOS surgery in early 2023, that I still do not regret choosing that surgery over the internet-recommended option of a first rib removal. This was something that Dr. Chambi and my physical therapist strongly recommended against for me at the time, especially since I have a computer-based job. I was able to get hand relief and my grip back without destroying my body. I wish Dr. Chambi had more in-office hours beyond just Tuesday and Thursday, but that's a minor flaw compared to how he and his office have been incredibly helpful for all my nerve- and muscle-related issues, especially since I could call the office any day of the week.

During my dad's last procedure the "medical assistants" put the breathing tube in his stomach. They did not discover their mistake until several minutes past. My dad never woke up from the coma they put him in. His death was caused by Central Herniation of Brain and Anoxic Brain Damage (lack of oxygen to the brain)...not cancer. Dr. Chambi removed the power of attorney status from my sister and mother by deeming them too emotional to make rational decisions. He then told my uncles that the best thing for their brother was to remove him from life support as soon as possible and to cremate the body...therefore there would be no evidence of wrong doing. Dr. Chambi has been permitted to continue practicing at the hospital due to his ability to generate revenue. However, a search of his background reveals a troubling history. In 1999 and again in 2013, he was sued for fraud and medical malpractice after performing an unauthorized amputation on a patient seeking treatment for nerve pain. The lack of accountability for the harm he inflicts on his patients is outrageous. Please see the attached photo.

I wait for about 2 hours from check in as a walk in since the nearest appointment wasn't for a week out and this is a required drug screen for my employer. After my wait I get called up and told "we've done too many tests today so you'll have to come back on Monday". Keep in mind this was at around 2pm I was turned away but they state that they accept walking until 3pm. Absolutely ridiculous and who would have know that the lab can't run many lab tests or hit a "quota" for the day. As I was waiting, in case someone doesn't show up, I saw another gentleman be turned away for the 2nd day in a row due to the same "quota" being met. Highly do not recommend it's an absolute mess and waste of time.

The worker then told me to go to the Long Beach walk-in location and assured me that they'd accept me there. HOWEVER, after driving all the way to LB, they told me they also maxed out. I tried calling Tustin and Long Beach before driving out but no one picks up the phone. I'm not upset that the capacity maxed out. I'm upset that the worker wasted my time telling me to drive 30min to a different location and assured me that they'd accept me when I specifically asked if that location can max out also. The LB location told me that the Tustin worker had no right to assure me of this and they couldn't help me. Lesson learned: never show up without an appointment because walk ins are impossible. And book your appointment early because they're booked out 2+ weeks in advance.

Luckily, my score was 0 (perfect) five years ago, and it was time for a recheck. This time, I was referred to Imaging Partners in Orange. I called to schedule an appointment and Elyssa was so friendly and helpful. They had a cancellation and were able to book me only two days out. She took all of my prerequisite information quickly and sent me a link to complete some paperwork online ahead of time. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and was impressed by their very modern and clean facility. Check-in was a breeze since I completed the forms online ahead of time. I only waited about five minutes and was called back. My tech Khan was very friendly and made everything a breeze. I laid on the bed feet first and he put a few heart electrodes on my chest. The bed raises and slides you into the center of the CT machine. It was not claustrophobic at all, and the CT machine spinning made very little noise. An automated voice instructs you to hold your breath twice for about five seconds, and then again twice for about 15 seconds as the bed slowly moves back and forth through the ring taking images. The process only took about five minutes, and I was in and out of the office in about fifteen minutes. I took the test on a Friday afternoon and the results will be sent to my doctor and posted in their online portal for me to view on Monday. Insurance usually doesn't cover this test, and the cash price was only $200. I had a great experience here, and will look forward to coming back in five years.
