And now I have what will probably be a screwed up neck and shoulder (right side) for the rest of my life. Serves me right, right? That said, after a series of ineffective visits to a chiropractor and physical therapist, a recommendation was made for a pain management specialist. Enter Dr. Wynn. After an initial visit, i was scheduled for an out-patient treatment and I can say this: The man knows his sh*t. I was concerned that that day, when I still felt a degree of discomfort after he injected the affected area with a cortisol steroid, the pain would be lessened but not completely eradicated. But by the next day, I felt great. It's amazing how much persistent pain can affect everything in your life. And the staff there is great, too. They are all young and bubbly and patient and friendly. And they really seem to like working there. SO, IT IS TRULY A SHAME THAT THE "FACE" OF THEIR PRACTICE IS THE INCORRIGIBLE NURSE PRACTITIONER CHEN, AN INVETERATE LIAR. The first time I met her, she told me about the dangers of opioid treatment for pain management. I explained to her that it's a moot point because I take naltrexone (which is an opioid blocker), so we agreed that steroids would have to do. But when I returned, I encountered a much different NP Chen. First, I was told that they couldn't see me because Dr. Wynn was not available. She insisted that they called me to let me know so I wouldn't have to travel down to them (on public transportation, no less), but I played my VM's from the day before and, NOPE, they never left a message. Then NP Chen told me she was going to send over a prescription for Tramadol (an opioid) to my pharmacy. I recall thinking: that's weird. I told them I can't take opioids. But when I called back later that day to say that my pharmacy had not received the prescription, NP CHEN SAID SHE NEVER TOLD ME SHE'D PRESCRIBED ME THE DRUG. I called her out on it but she insists that that never happened. And I, not being a shrinking violet, told her I didn't care about the Tramadol but that I wanted her to take ownership of her lie. The conversation quickly devolved into a shouting match before the line went dead. (They did call back to say the line was lost, but who knows?) I will go back because, as I've said, Dr. Wynn and his staff are amazing. But, Holy Bat Fake, that nurse practitioner lies.

That term means a Deep Venius Thrombosis. On that date for May ,12, 2025, I was experiencing shortness of breath, light headedness, my right leg was very swollen and warm to the touch, the front abd the back of my ankle to the calf muscle was very red and had an tingling sensation to my right leg area,. I felt kike I was about to pass out from these terrible symptoms. I made the decision to call the 911 Emergency Services Dispatcher number in this date. I lived in a house of 5 people who are renting out their own Private Rooms including myself in an Independent Living House in San Diego, CA . No one could help me with my Emergency Situation because everyone had to attend their Doctors Appointments on May 12, 2025. After I called the 911 Emergency Service phone number a dispatcher came online and asked me What's my Emergency? I said can you give me the Paramedics and send it an Ambulance out to my house immediately? The 911 operator asked me some necessary 5 basic questions first,, then after I passed their test , a Falk Ambulance was dispatched out to my house within 15 minutes. I was asked to leave my front door open to make it easy for the Paramedics to have easy access to walk into the front door. It took the 2 Emergency Services Guys with the Fire Department included about 4 Firemen from the San Diego Fire Station Number 12. These 2 Emergency Services names were Akex a Paramedic and Zeke his partner an EMT Emergency Medical Technician. Zeke brought in the Blood Pressure and Heart Monitor. Zeke took my Blood Pressure and Zeke also hooked up this EKG Heart Monitor with these rubber leads to place them on my legs, arms and placed these leads on my upper chest areas. My Blood Pressure was very high due to me having shortness of breath and a DVT inside my right leg. Then my heart beats were also at a higher level. Eric said he needs to transport me to Paradise Valley Hospital ASAP. Eric and Zeke helped me to walk towards the gurney in the living room, then Eric and Zeke both put several seatbelts on my body and checked to make sure these belts were locked securely. They were very secured. Then Eric said that Zeke will be driving the Falk Ambulance in transoirting me to Paradise Valley Hospital. Zeke parked next door in the neighbors driveway, These 4 Firemen helped Eric and Zeke push me down this very steep hill located on my driveway, Afterwards, these 4 Firemen walked down the hill then got into their Fire Engine and drive off. Then I was. Put into the back I the Falk ambukabxe . Eric was sitting in the back with me monitoring my vital signs while Zeke was driving the Ambulance. It took about 2 minutes t arrive at Paradise Valley Hospital that evening,. I arrived there at 4:30 PM in last year on May 12, 2025. Paradise Valley Hospital is an older Hospital and a much smaller Faciliy . It took about 4 Hours for me to be assigned an Emergency Room Bed on the first floor. That date on May 12. 2025 , Paradise Valley Hospital was extremely busy with patients and Homeless people. Finally, the next day I May 13, 2025, I was moved upstairs on the 4th Floor to the Medical and the Surgery Flour. I was transferred to a huge large Private Room by myself . It was beautiful. This Er Doctor ordered these necessary tests like my blood test, an Ultrasound Test, an EKG Test and a Chest X -Ray. All of these Test Results came out good. The nurses and and Dr. Mehan gave me excellent Medical Care. I also want to say Thank You to my Caring Nurses whose names are Angela , Sophia the Nurses Aide, and several other nurses that had managed my serious Medical Condition during my hospital stay for the 5 days time period.

The doctor who's taking care of me is nice and seems interested in making me feel better. I am in a small economy private room which I like but the food here is terrible and constantly late, the bed is terrible and the TV is small with very limited programming. So you're staying here will feel longer. My bed was broken for about 7 hours before they switched it the feet would not go up. Hospital beds are usually uncomfortable but since this bed was broken and made it extremely uncomfortable for me and I have low back problems to begin with. Most of the nurses and staff are friendly and I do feel like I'm getting pretty good care..

Speaking of, there's a parking next to my car right in front of the doors as I speak! Lol. The business was prompt in contacting me to schedule appts. I scheduled all 6 appts ahead of time in order to avoid booked out days, which they do get booked up pretty quickly. My first appt was my eval in which they determined my treatment plan. Everyone is so laid back & friendly, always smiles all around. They made it feel like home, as if I was working with a friend. In the most professional way possible. Making the appts go by quicker. Everyone remembers my name, or at least my face to the point where I don't need to check in. They already check me in just seeing me. Making my experience all the more personable. Everyone that I've worked with has been amazing. The equipment itself looks new & up to date. I love how they have floor to ceiling windows all along the front of the building. It brings in so much light in & makes the space feel bright, open, clean, airy, & fresh. The AC is always on & you can noticeably feel it. Which is great because everyone is basically working out & breaking a sweat. & definitely no funky smells. Lol. One treatment I initially mentioned to my doctor that I refused to do was PT. I thought they were just "exercises I can do at home." Now, 6 appts later I can definitely say those "little exercises" alleviated my pain. I feel way better coming out than I did going in. I wanted to provide additional great feedback about Julio - I met him during my initial eval appt the first time I came in. I got the chance to work with him personally 1 out of the 6 appts. He definitely goes above & beyond to make patients feel comfortable. His outgoing personality made the appts go by quicker. Which is something I needed after coming to my appts after an 8hr work shift. I work in management & Julio is someone I'd love to have on my team. Seems like he never has any bad days! Lol. & if he does, it definitely does not show in his work. Every time I've came in, he always greets me with smiles. Attitude is always "can do" & bubbly. Love his love for his little family. If you're having a bad day, expect him to make you laugh when you come in. I brought my toddler son in with me. During the appt, Julio went beyond to make my experience as comfortable as it could be with no judgement. At the end of my appt my son began getting antsy for being here too long & Julio took the initiative to help me by taking my son for a ride along as a day in the life as a PT. My son is FOUR. We even joked about them being "coworkers." Lol. Dan has also been great! He was the last person to help me with my last two appts. He was patient & welcoming. We spoke about our backgrounds & I guess we just all relate. Being that we (myself, Julio, & Dan) all trauma bonded. Lol. I asked them why were doing what they currently do... The story behind their traumas are the EXACT reason why they are the most PERFECT candidates for their position. They actually CARE, they've been through stuff, they have a passion behind the reason for their work, & they're compassionate. I highly recommend this business & the ppl who work there. If I ever in the future need PT services (hopefully I won't ever), this is the place I'd be. Thank you everyone!
