I'm leaving this review in hopes it prompts internal reflection and better continuity of care for future patients. I came to this clinic with MRI-confirmed disc injuries, including annular fissures and mild canal narrowing at C5-C7, along with persistent cervical pain that had not responded to conservative care. I had completed physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, massage, and multiple rounds of medication. Early in my treatment, a cervical epidural steroid injection (CESI) was presented as a next step if symptoms continued. I followed through with everything recommended. When my symptoms persisted, I expressed that I was ready to move forward with the CESI and made it clear that cost would not be a barrier--I was willing to pay cash. Despite this, the CESI was then walked back with shifting justifications: first citing cost, then later saying the disc bulges were "too small," even though the imaging findings had been available for weeks and hadn't changed. There has been no new information medically--only a changing explanation that doesn't align with the original plan of care. As a patient, this experience has been frustrating. If the provider or clinic is simply uncomfortable with performing the procedure, that should be communicated clearly and early--not repositioned after the patient agrees to proceed. I'm seeking a second opinion elsewhere and hope this review encourages a more transparent and consistent approach for future patients. read more

Dr. Ghosh and his team are simply amazing. Had spinal fusion done by Dr. Ghosh and was able to be up and walking 2 days after surgery. His PAs Felix and Amanda are amazing and compassionate. Even the back office staff (Melissa, surgery scheduler) are kind and incredibly efficient. Everyone listens to you, communicates frequently and treats you like family. If I could give 0 stars, I would. To really understand what to expect from Senta Neurosurgery, I would keep reading. The three main issues are their choices of outstandingly horrible staff, their long wait times, and their complete disregard for actually helping patients. For the first point, I have never experienced such a rude and unpleasant group of staff. Specifically, who I have read a plethora of horrible reviews about, Tanya, seems to have bad track record with many patients, including myself. Secondly, the wait times, as you will read in many of these reviews, are so long it is disrespectful. Work, family, any other plans you may have had, cancel it if you have an appointment. If you say anything about the long wait time either, the staff will be sure to make the situation worse. I understand physicians have busy schedules, but at some point, it is too much. Lastly, I feel strongly that Senta Neurosurgery actually has no regard for their patients outside of the paycheck they receive. Referrals that are promised for one day get pushed for weeks, leaving you in even more pain than before becoming a patient here. The point of becoming a physician is to "do no harm," and I would hope that extends to the staff of a physicians office as well. To wrap up, some people should not be in healthcare. Senta Neurosurgery should know they are working with a population of people who may be in pain, who need surgery or rehab, and people who have exhausted so many other options at feeling somewhat normal again. Senta Neurosurgery obviously does not understand this, as shown by their impatient and rude staff, long wait times, and disregard for their patients. **MUST READ*** STAY AWAY!!!! I was sent to the SENTA clinic on a referral from my attorney and I wish I would have read the reviews prior to starting treatment (or lack thereof) with Dr. Ghosh's office. I went for my initial appointment and was amazed at the beautiful building and fancy reviews on the walls. My initial appointment was with Felix the PA and after his initial assessment I was prescribed steroids for my injuries, this is where it all went downhill. The steroids didn't react well with my body and I had to end up seeing my own PCP who was quick to get me off of that medication. Prior to that I had called to let the office know that I was having complications with the medication and they had said I'll get a call back later and I never did. That's why I ended up having to see my PCP. During the initial assessment they put in referrals for me to start physical therapy and I should have seen the warning signs of the SENTA clinic with the places they do business with. One of the therapy offices made a remark "you can't spell therapist with rapist" and that was so jarring I didn't know what to say. And the other therapist office I received a referral to had a male therapist that was real handsy with me and made me uncomfortable. I called the office after I left to let them know I'd like a different specialist and they obliged. I went to the next appointment and the therapist made sure to let me know that he knew of my complaint. The straw that broke the camels back though was when I was requesting time off, SENTA couldn't accommodate my request. My attorney had to get an appointment scheduled for me with Dr. Ghosh on a Wednesday because apparently that's the only day he's at the clinic. I showed up 10 minutes before the appointment and was set up in the room and was just left there. 15 minutes went by and not a word, 25 minutes and nothing it was at the 35 minute mark that we just up and left. I went to the front desk to let them know I needed to leave because I had to pick up my children and a clerk in the back got up from her seat and just looked really irritated that I was even in her presence. She came back and said that Felix was ready to see me now. All of a sudden someone became available. I was irritated at that point and said I don't have the time and made another appointment. My appointment wasn't with Felix either. NOT ONCE was Dr. Ghosh ever available to see me. I NEVER got an apology for them running late or even a phone call to apologize. I called my attorney right after to express my dissatisfaction with the office and his apology was the first and last that I heard. I called my attorney to let them know I'd prefer to not be seen there anymore and that's when he let me know that the SENTA clinic had dropped me as a patient. I had multiple appointments scheduled with Ghosh but not once did I ever see him inside the SENTA clinic. All of this was because I left a negative review on their Google page. I also received a letter letting me know they've dropped me. To this day I've never gotten an apology or have they accepted responsibility for their poor treatment. Don't be fooled by number of accolades or the amount of diplomas on the wall. This clinic doesn't know how to take care of patients. What a beautiful medical building! Senta Clinic is located just where the 15 and 8 freeways meet. You can't miss this gray and blue building. Even if this isn't a full review (e.g., patient care, billing, etc.), I am focusing on the interior of this establishment, which is aesthetically pleasing and modern with nice flooring. It smells really clean inside and I just love the overall look. It has stairs and elevators for your convenience. This open space has a lot of light, which I love. The signage displays the different doctors whose offices are inside Senta Clinic. They even had a cute Christmas display for the holidays. What a nice touch! The receptionists were nice and welcoming, as they should be. I guess it helps when the atmosphere looks beautiful. Although I am not a patient here (I came as support), I appreciated my quick visit to this facility. This establishment is what all medical offices should look like. :) read more

I had an 8am appointment with Dr. Weeks but when I arrived for the appointment it was with a PA and not the doctor. I made an appointment with Dr Weeks, not a PA. The PA stated that I would have to leave and schedule another appointment with the doctor, even though that's what I did for this appointment and ended up with a PA. Also, I was the only person in the waiting room when I arrived and sat there for 20 minutes, alone, before they took me to the exam room, and it still took another 20 minutes to see the PA. Saw him after a septo/rhino surgery that was so poorly done the phrase used was, "I can't understand the logic of the techniques used." I was left with worse breathing than I had WITH the broken nose. After seeing him for a septoplasty I can breathe like a normal human and am so grateful for him and his staff. This clinic looks beautiful from the outside and it's entrance but that is where it's beauty stops, it was absolutely the worst experience as an employee with a Surgeon that uses old school tactics in billing, he picks and chooses his patients, so if you're a minority with an non PPO plan, chances are you won't be seen unless you really need surgery because he will be paid the most, not only that the blatant racism and misogynist HR manager they have, this guy will tell you, you need surgery and offers you a CT scan in house because "it's necessary" many patients have run away from him, you are just a number, don't let his charm fool you. Absolutely regret working here, if you need to see an ENT, please do yourself a favor and avoid this guy and save yourself the agony because he over codes for surgery and 80% of the time you will be denied, then they will offer you a "peer to peer" where he will fight the case, until he proves that what he is requesting is proved by his tweaking of his consultations. I wish more patients would yelp their experiences so headaches can be avoided. Look into Scripps or Sharp for ENTs and If you're under a Mcal-CHG program and or Molina, he will refuse you. read more

I dipped my toe into (nearly) every single specialty that the Senta Clinic offers and I was not disappointed. While Dr. Mansfield led my care team (and I gave him his own review), I also worked with Dr. Flores (neurosurgeon), Dr. Harris (ENT-Otolaryngologist), Dr. Purcell (neurologist), and Dr. Toranto (plastic surgeon)--as well as their staff. Dr. Mansfield even brought in other top surgeons from other specialties to work on my case and ensure that I received the best possible care. I had a spinal tumor in my neck that was incredibly hard to diagnose and biopsy. More, it was wrapped around a major artery in my neck (that needed to be removed). It didn't look good on the images and it was causing some unexpected side effects (dizziness, etc). Nevertheless, each Setna Clinic doctor was incredibly careful throughout my diagnostic process not to scare me with hasty conclusions that weren't yet medically confirmed. They relied on hard facts but never discounted or belittled other symptoms (like night sweats) that didn't relate to the tumor itself. Both pre-op and post-op, I could not have asked for a better medical team. Even now as I work with other specialists--Dr. Mansfield, Dr. Purcell, and Dr. Flores are working to ensure I'm back at 100% in a timely manner. Rude does not come close to describing how the staff treat you. The most simple request has been exhausting because you get transfered to staff and when you call they say that is not the correct person to help you. First it was speak to Evelyn then it was Leticia will call you (that never happened) So who is the person to help? When you refuse to be ignored and call again before a 3 day weekend you are treated very poorly. Then being given information to quickly to understand and write down I was told I was NASTY. Yes a staff member actually said that. What Dr's office hires people who don't want to be there so they take it out on the patients. A+ all the way.......I had to fly from Hawaii to San Diego to see Dr. Weeks. We have no doctor's here that deals with eustachian tube dysfunction. From the girls in the reception area to the nurses & his PA....they are all wonderful. Wait time for me.....was 45 minutes on my first visit. I had no problem waiting, nothing new to me....most doctors are behind schedule. I have never experienced such a caring, compassionate doctor.....he gives you all the time you need....So maybe that's why he runs behind schedule??? I've suffered from ETD for months....I'll wait all day to see him if I have to! I'm in my 3rd week of recovery....called several times to his office with concerns...Jeanine his PA has always called me back and answered all of my questions....she's wonderful as well. Dr. Weeks is the best of the best....from his knowledge, experience, and his bed side manner is top notch. Doesn't get any better.....I knew from what I researched on-line that this guy knows his stuff. My heart is full of gratitude for all the help he did for me....if anyone knows ETD you know how horrible this dysfunction is...I'm still on the mends....but I'm hopeful that everything will be OK. I have been suffering from Meniere's Disease off and on for over 8 years and I thought I was getting the standard of care from my health network's ENT. But I recently read on menieres.org that I might benefit from seeing a neurologist, so I got a referral to Senta. Based on my initial visit with Carter Copeland, PA-C, and Ian Purcell, MD PhD, I feel that yes, indeed, I am now on a treatment plan that is more comprehensive, more focused on quality of life, and more aggressive in preserving my hearing. I am cautiously optimistic that follow-up visits will confirm my initial impression and will lead to a good level of management of this debilitating disease. As for the office experience, there were no significant wait times. The only negative that comes to mind is that the staff uses walkie talkies to help run the office efficiently. This can be a little annoying. The sound can also be a little uncomfortable when your hearing is sensitive during an episode. read more

I brought my mother here for her ear cleaning, Dr Richard Liu was very dismissive and rude. He rushed through everything and when my mother complained that she felt dizzy he got upset, rolled his eyes and said, "we are done here" and left the room without any explanation or consideration to her. And when we complained to the nurse, she replied, "maybe it's a culture issue." My review and experience is with Dr. Perry Mansfield. I went to him about a spot in my mouth and he tried a scare tactic on me that I should get a biopsy right away and I need to stay in the hospital for one night it made me very suspicious so I got a second opinion the new doctor told me by looking at it that he was for sure not cancer and to put me at ease he would do a biopsy right in his office right away I got the results in a couple of days and it was not cancer. As a word of caution this is a very expensive looking building that he owns and it seems that it is all about making money. I have realize in my lifetime that places like Scripps or Kaiser doctors are paid a salary so it does not matter to them if they create more procedures or tests because their salary stays the same but private practice doctors are totally different the more procedures they do the more money in their pocket, of course this cannot be the same for all private practices and cannot generalize that. Never in my life have I interacted with a clinic that very clearly does not put their patients first. The doctor has been giving us the run-around since day one. We had a call scheduled a while back that we had adjusted work for and the doctor missed it with no explanation or apology, and staff seemed to be irritated when we tried other numbers to reach her at during our scheduled call appointment. When we FINALLY got a hold of a fellow they could not answer a single question and said that was all for the resident. Absolutely useless! After ringing through to voicemail with no return calls for WEEKS, we finally reached a live body who informed us of an appointment scheduled for us at a specific date and time. They had not bothered to let us know about the appointment, we had to CALL OURSELVES and just so happened to find out this appointment existed?? Work was moved around to accommodate the appointment once again and 10 minutes before the scheduled time the assistant calls and says the doctor asked her to call and CANCEL. We have not been able to see or speak to the doctor since the very first consult in January. More diagnostic imaging has been available to them for 2 weeks, and we have a surgery scheduled for two weeks from now and yet no one can tell us really anything?! At this point we don't even really know what it is that's being surgically removed???? Can't get answers if we cannot get in contact to ask questions either. This is ridiculous! Dr. Sanjay Ghosh is the best and most gifted neurosurgeon I could've had perform my tri-level neck fusion. I had to have this surgery, therefore, I did lots of research and spoke with lots of people who had similar circumstances and deciding to have this surgery was not an easy choice. But, I'm glad Dr. Ghosh is my guy!! Literally, the next day after surgery all my radiating pain in my neck was gone! My mom had her second brain surgery done by Dr. Udani February 28th 2019. In the office he was very promising and made you feel that he cared. HOWEVER, after care was HORRENDOUS!!! We saw Dr.Udani only twice after her Surgery!!! He only sent his PA's and my mom had multiple complications due to the surgery and remained In ICU for 2 months, and never made it back home!!! She lived for 7 months after her surgery mainly in the hospital, other than 2 months in rehab. The pituitary gland was permanently damaged in surgery BUT HE NEVER TOLD US! She got diabetes insipidus due to the gland being damaged which ended up taking her life at the age of 62! On top of all of this his staff called us to make appointments for her when she had already passed!!! Once they found out from me they said Dr. Udani would be reaching out but he NEVER did! Today September 17th we received a letter from him stating he really cares about his relationship with my mom and wanted to make appointments with her at his new office! If he cares he would called to give his condolences and know that she is gone! That's not what you do to a grieving family as we just lost her a year ago!!!! I took my mother to have her hearing re-evaluated, and her hearing aides re-programmed. We were scheduled to see Dr. Lucia Kearny. We were a bit late because my mother needs assistance. Dr. Kearny met us with lack-luster enthusiasm and this was our first visit with her. No niceties, no smiles, not a whole lotta love. My mom is the sweetest person in the world and Dr Kearny proceeded to scold her for not keeping her mask secured and that she has a five month old at home to protect. Mind you, my mom is hard of hearing so she could not hear her well. Quite rude. The hearing test began and I was in the room listening to Dr Kearny sighing with what seemed irritation and being bothered. Hearing aides were re-programed and Dr Kearny again gives my mom a talking to about keeping her hearing aides on all the time. Thanks Dr., but that's my job. I'm her daughter. You just help fix her hearing aides, smile, and encourage her to be well. Bottom line, Dr Kearny has no bedside manner, and she is not senior citizen friendly. I'm not going to hide behind this review. I plan to call soon. I held my tongue during our visit because I did not want to upset my elderly mother. The doctors here seem very talented and Dr. weeks has always been very friendly and knowledgeable. The problem is that every time that I have come to this clinic I have to wait 30-40 mins in the waiting room before being placed in a room and then often another 15-20 minutes waiting for the doctor. I have only confidence and praise for Senta Clinic. Dr Harris was my Doctor and all through the process was engaging, thorough, caring, and confident. Dr Harris completed a Trans Oral Robotic Surgery for a primary tumor on the base of tongue and also bilateral lymph node resections in the neck. I didn't have to do surgery as chemo radiation is equivalent to the cancer for disease free results but by doing surgery it gave me the opportunity to better understand what and where the disease specifically was and what the real TNM staging is. Dr Harris was trained by the inventor of the process at U Penn. The results of my procedure are excellent. I appreciated Dr Harris being hands on with Pathology to review my tissue margins directly herself and for also directing the OR that we are going to remove more margin on one side. The initial margin came back positive so doing more work was the right call. I imagine there are some doctors who may not be as diligent. It added 45 minutes to the duration but it was successful. I now am able to avoid chemo and will also receive about 20% less radiation energy overall. Both quality of life improvement factors. Thank you Dr Harris. read more

Not a good experience. Arrived on time, waited 25 minutes. Put in a room by an assistant. On the way he said "has this room been cleaned?" Another worker yelled back "no, it has not. Clean it." He said OK and walked me into the room. There was a dirty endoscope on the counter. He picked up the dirty endoscope and sprayed it twice with a substance then wiped it with a Kleenex. After he left the PA came in. She sprayed my nose with a numbing agent. Waited two minutes, then pushed the rigid endoscope up my nose. It hurt like crazy and I objected. She continued to push it further. I jerked my head away and she said do not move your head. She finally withdrew it and stated I have a deviated septum. I brought a CT scan with me on disk but she was incapable of loading it and viewing it on the computer so the doctor never saw it. I asked her about my turbinates and treatment. She told me that an SMR and radio frequency ablation are the same thing. Having had radio frequency ablation and having done research, I knew they were two different procedures. Finally Dr. weeks came in and I saw him for about eight minutes. Seeing Dr. weeks was the best part of the visit. He seemed like a good doctor. I left with a prescription for some spray. I am grossed out by seeing someone else's used endoscope and watching the guy clean it in front of me. I would have preferred to see the doctor instead of the PA.
