I've called Ground Pest Contol twice in the past year. The first time was to deal with a wasp nest…read morein our backyard. I was able to get an appointment to come without much delay. I liked that Donald explained how he was going to deal with the nest without using pesticides or chemicals. Problem solved at a fair price. The second time was to deal with an ant invasion in an upstairs bathroom. I had tried the boric acid mixed with sugar home remedy, but it didn't seem to work as effectively as usual. He said that was the right approach but it's hard to get the mix right, and he explained what he would do. I had a concern about toxicity to cats (I kept the bathroom door closed when I was trying the boric acid), and he understood the concern and explained that the approach was relatively pet-safe. The treatment involved baits and spray in the affected bathroom, plus spraying around the perimeter of the house. He found the apparent area of entry, which was on the opposite side of the house, and explained where ants are likely to congregate. I like it when experts do this -- explain the reasoning behind their actions. After a week, we still had a few ants. He came back out, did another shot of treatment (and he had said sometimes it takes more than one treatment) as part of the same invoice. Donald is very responsive to calls or texts, and as a true professional, he cares about getting the job done, even if it takes multiple visits.
