if I could give them a zero, I would. This was what happened at my first appointment. I was interviewed by a physical therapist and assessed. I was surprised to see that he hadn't looked at my file, because although I was referred for back pain, he asked me what my goal was. I learned later that they don't have time to read referrals. I was also given a PT assistant, and told I would be working with her. But when I each time I asked her questions, she has to run to the therapist and ask. I tried to be in on the conversations, but they blocked me out. So it seemed like she was doing on the job training, and was not certified. He knows I have scoliosis and sciatic! but he gave me exercises that aggravated the pain.while I was doing the exercises, neither of them stuck around. I told the therapist that the exercises hurt. He didn't offer alternatives but said we would talk about it at a later appointment. The whole time, the assistant was running around tending to to other patients, and the therapist was sitting on a stool spacing out. i could have learned more from a book or a YouTube video The next day, I spoke to the clinic manager. I told her about what I wrote above, and also that I didn't like their business model, which was hiring as few people as possible and paying them peanuts, so only the worst and cheapest would work for them, and they could make as much money as possible. She admitted that that was indeed their business model. So basically a money laundering scam fronting as a PT clinic. Stay away! read more

I started coming to ProActive (Oracle/Ina) in February of 2023. Both of my knees were inflamed and I had a horrible case of Achilles Tendonitis. Consequently, my mobility was greatly decreased and I could barely walk. I had gone to another ProActive in San Diego and was happy with the care I received so I decided to try the Tucson location. When I arrived for my appointment the front desk person explained that the two locations are not affiliated. For a brief second, I considered going someplace else but I'm so glad I decided to stay and seek treatment. I was fortunate to be evaluated by Dr. Travis Mason, DPT - Physical Therapist who is the clinical director at this ProActive location. I'm very holistic and believe massive action is the cure for everything. So. concurrently, I started other alternative therapies, such as daily cryotherapy, reflexology, tapping, acupuncture, icepacks, compression, stretching, swimming, tens, and chiropractic. PT is daily work but your body is meant to heal and it will heal under the right conditions. Travis (Dr. Mason) is not a holistic health doctor per se but he has totally worked with me (without judging) to perfectly complement the other therapies in order to increase my strength, mobility, and range of motion while decreasing my leg pain, knee pain & stiffness. Travis is the absolute best!  It's evident that not only is he a great Physical Therapist but he truly cares about his patients. He is personable, knowledgeable, approachable, and actually listens. He introduced me to dry-needling which I actually prefer over acupuncture. Travis evaluates my exercises, makes modifications, corrects my form so I activate the right muscles and continues to assign exercises that challenge me. He also performs orthopedic joint manipulation/manual physical therapy that helps mobilize the joints to ease pain, decrease inflammation, and improve movement. His assistant, Robbie, is equally friendly, professional, and competent. Both have been instrumental in assisting me on my road to recovery. I believe I have had such amazing results because I come to physical therapy ready to heal and am disciplined and motivated to put in the work. I have been going to ProActive for many months now and I've heard and seen a lot of people who don't want to do their exercises or do the exercises in a perfunctory manner. I wonder why they bother coming...So many people are stuck on conventional care RIIPS - rest-ice-injections-pills-surgery. Personally, I think that these quick fixes are a dance with the devil. It must be frustrating to want to help people heal and see that they want to put in little to no effort to achieve it. I am still receiving treatment but my joint pain is almost gone (most days), and my range of motion, flexibility, and stiffness have been greatly improved. I'm not quite where I need to be to graduate and move on but that day is coming. I have been very impressed in reference to the staff Travis has assembled. They are friendly and consistently go the extra mile. They are personable and create a comfortable, focused & pleasant atmosphere that is a pleasure to be part of. Their prices are reasonable and they accept insurance. The girls that work in the office are very sweet and give A+++ service! I feel at this ProActive location I am receiving the highest level of care available and am absolutely convinced Travis can work miracles when it comes to Physical Therapy/Rehabilitative care!   If you choose this office for your physical therapy, commit to healing by strengthening your body, and choose to be an active part of your rehab then Travis and all the ProActive professionals at this location are going to be an essential part of your team. Absolutely terrible. The front desk gals are great and helpful. However some providers are completely incompetent and there is a lack of oversight. I stupidly switched my pt for back issue based on a recommendation to this place. I was assigned a PT who clearly does not give a sh-and every session has been me working with a different tech who runs through the same exercises I already do and should be part of homework so I've not been especially happy anyway; not to mention I'm usually in/out in 30 min despite being assigned an hour. The final straw was after my last visit. I injured myself and told my tech first thing asking for help. He repeatedly asked my PT who told me nothing. I couldn't even do half the exercises and probably shouldn't have been doing them because when I left and next day I was in extreme pain. Some people have good PTs who actually interact with and/or work on their clients however that wasn't my experience and then I was told to handle it by calling the next day. I do that, still crickets two days later. It's very clear they are more concerned with their getting warm bodies in their assembly line then addressing clients concerns. read more

This is my second experience at Proactive for PT following rotator cuff surgery. The staff is fantastic at what they do, but they also become like family after just a couple sessions. I've really looked forward to seeing everybody for my visits every week and the therapy was just as effective this second time! I highly recommend Proactive on North Oracle! read more

I went to Proactive on East Broadway, Tucson. I am so impressed with the staff and front desk. They pinpointed what I needed to fully function and really worked at helping me. I finished today after 2 months and they sent me home with exercises to help me continue to improve. Nice, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I recommend this business to anyone old or young. I am an older woman so often dismissed. Not here as all were kind and made me work hard. Great place to heal! read more

I am writing this review for my mother who is receiving care for a shoulder injury. I met with Travis Mason on my first physical therapy visit. He had the most gracious and hospitable demeanor. He put me at ease and was very gentle. He explained the how and the why of each exercise and was patient with me. He made me feel well taken care of. I have had physical therapy in the past but this experience with Travis Mason was by far my most positive. I am very grateful for his efforts to put me at ease and encourage me as I have struggled with pain from my injury. Did some research, but there are physical therapy businesses on every corner. Chose this one because it is close to my favorite grocery store. Walked in with my insurance paperwork in hand, I will need 6 months of therapy after my upcoming surgery. The receptionist looked up from her keyboard and told me I would have to wait. I thought she was talking about finishing a couple of keystrokes, after a short wait I decided I would sit down for the long wait. I jumped on yelp and found a couple of 1 star reviews, and realized this was sop. That did not bode well for 6 months of this nonsense. I was out the door in a flash. I don't quite understand why a business would want this person as their first customer experience. Found a great place 1.2 miles north on oracle. Receptionist ask me what my needs were as soon as I walked in the door. Then offered me a bottle of water while she entered my insurance info. read more

Had a knee replacement went in for therapy it was so comforting to know that the care would be nothing but the best. All the employees were amazing considerate of your care and so attentive to your needs. I loved it there. read more

The scheduling person is extremely rude, and dishonest. She would call to reschedule appointments, and then when had to miss due to pneumonia and then due to an emergency dental procedure, she implied all of the rescheduljng was on the patient and not her ineptness. Other issues with care seemed improper, and am happy to not be continuing care here. read more

I recently had pretty extensive surgery that consisted of the removal and replacement of 3 cervical disc, bone grafting and fusion with a plate and screws. I am now a patient of ProActive P/T post op at the 7601 N Oracle rd, Tucson AZ location. I am very impressed with the treatment I am receiving and my next visit is tomorrow with Conor Isaacs, PTA. The staff is very professional and friendly. I was referred to them from a friend and now know why. I feel I am getting the best care possible and my treatment is moving along. I do seem to be getting better range of motion in my neck already, as well as some relief from the surgery itself. I would recommend ProActive to any person in need of physical therapy. I've needed physical therapy for several injuries and/or surgery recoveries over the past 20 years. As an RN, I meet many PT's and thought I knew where I would go following my total knee replacement. I am so grateful I took another look around for a place offering aquatic therapy! The multiple bonuses turned out to be the front staff, the assistants, and of course Holly and Kathy! I felt like everyone there was cheering for me to accomplish the goals we were setting. The aqua therapy truly helped me reach goals sooner and with less pain than without this option. I'm more fully recovered from a total knee replacement than the meniscectomy in the same knee six years ago with PT at a larger more well known facility. I will recommend Tucson Physical Therapy to the medical professionals I work with, my patients, and my friends and family. I can't thank them enough! read more

I have a myriad of issues, including chronic pain. I have probably been to most of the physical therapy centers in town in the last 10 years. Tucson Physical Therapy is by far the best! The staff are very knowledgeable, super friendly, and professional. They are also certified in kinesiology tape and I have found that to be very helpful when nothing else works. One of the things I really admire is their respect for your knowledge of your body! They listen and come up with a plan that is helpful to your particular situation!
