I have two different shoulder issues at the same time; one shoulder is in the process of "freezing" and the other has tendonitis. Mike takes the time to listen each time I go to therapy to see if he needs to adjust any techniques. He and his assistants help with exercises, massages and adjustments of affected areas and provide ultrasound as well as stem and heat therapy. I was surprised to see that he hadn't looked at my file, because although I was referred for back pain, he asked me what my goal was. I learned later that they don't have time to read referrals. I was also given a PT assistant, and told I would be working with her. But when I each time I asked her questions, she has to run to the therapist and ask. I tried to be in on the conversations, but they blocked me out. So it seemed like she was doing on the job training, and was not certified. He knows I have scoliosis and sciatic! but he gave me exercises that aggravated the pain.while I was doing the exercises, neither of them stuck around. I told the therapist that the exercises hurt. He didn't offer alternatives but said we would talk about it at a later appointment. The whole time, the assistant was running around tending to to other patients, and the therapist was sitting on a stool spacing out. i could have learned more from a book or a YouTube video The next day, I spoke to the clinic manager. I told her about what I wrote above, and also that I didn't like their business model, which was hiring as few people as possible and paying them peanuts, so only the worst and cheapest would work for them, and they could make as much money as possible. She admitted that that was indeed their business model. So basically a money laundering scam fronting as a PT clinic. Stay away!

APT is in a GREAT location (right in the middle of town). Super easy to get to from work and they are pretty accommodating to my stupidly hectic schedule. Parking is convenient and all I have to do when I walk in the door is sign my name to the clipboard and start working. Therapists and trainers listen when I say if something's working or not. They don't make me sit around waiting for them and they don't sit around waiting for me. They push me when I need to be pushed. They don't let me slack off when I'm lazy. They take copious notes about every little thing I tell them and then, surprisingly, they remember when I come in the next time. Environment is fun and they're usually playing some funky music, which makes being there more fun. Most importantly, in my effort to rehab my knee and back, things have started to gradually feel better - not 100% yet - but feel like I'm taking steps to being on that path.

I followed the exercises suggested but despite being excellent exercises they were not specific to my issue. I am pleased to say John, the owner suggested a few exercises that appear to have made and continue to improve my situation. He did not hand me sheets of worthwhile exercises, but suggested three which he felt were specific to my leg weakness. Once he felt he had given me the tools to improve he said I was finished with PT sessions. I respect that he did what he could do and did not prolong treatment.
