Just finished up seven weeks of twice-a-week physical therapy sessions. Dr. Klingman & Staff. Over the 14 sessions for lower back pain, I am on the way to being pain free. At 62, after an athletically-active lifestyle for the past 44 years--track, basketball, mountain biking, weightlifting and golf, I thought those things were waning due to pain. Thankfully, Dr. Klingman diagnosed the problem accurately and went to work. Guy's a genius. Each session was conducted by highly competent PT's and PTA's. Each person was personable, a good listener, not overbearing and truly concerned with the process. This was a true 5-Star experience. I was very hopeful when I started seeing Robert at MFL. I have been in physical therapy on and off for 30 years and have never been treated like this. Robert knew about my condition and said he could help. He spent maybe 15 to 20 minutes with me and then passes me to a PTA. He actually walked away and started talking to his employees or other clients while I was talking to him. Then never told me that he was passing me off to a PTA who knew NOTHING about my condition and what I needed from him. I think that the standard of care is really lacking. I'm used to being treated like a person and not a number. I spoke with someone who was waiting on their spouse and they didn't think much of the place either. You cannot manage and treat people at the same time. Someone gets the short end of the stick. read more

Most PT places that I've been to make you feel like a number but this is not one of them. Both my husband and I have had the best possible experience and results from the staff here. From the front desk and throughout the facility, they make you feel important and special. Robert and his staff fixed my very annoying issue, helped my husband's 3 year pain recede and never did either of us feel like a number. After total knee replacement I asked my doctor for the best physical therapy clinic and was referred to Athlon Physical Therapy in Oro Valley. They lived up to there reputation as a first class outfit. My therapist Jason and Shawna provided an excellent overview of my therapy and what will be needed to successfully rehab my knee. Their understanding of my needs led to a quick rehab in just three and a half weeks (I do have more to do on my own). Jason and Shawna's instruction and encouragement turned what could a painful and long rehab in to a fun and enjoyable program to regain my mobility.
