Linnea took so much time to ask questions, not just on our first day, but continuing through our sessions. She is the first person to look at my complete medical history and the entire picture of how my body was functioning (or not functioning). The eventual diagnosis was both disc issues that I knew about and sacroiliac issues previously undiagnosed. She took the time to reteach me the little tedious movements that had been amplifying my pain. But she also did not strong me along in unneeded sessions. As I started feeling better, she didn't abandon me, but she slowly spaced out out appointments. I had some specific goals (jogging and pilates) I wanted to accomplish before I left therapy. She was very supportive and understanding of those. When I was able to do this pain free, she gave me her contact info in case of any issues and sent me on my way, exercises and stretches in hand. I am extremely thankful for and impressed with this office!

But what I liked best was Lennea's ability to use the Jones Strain and Counter Strain method of manipulation which is superb. There are very few people who know how to use this method properly. I highly recommend seeing Lennea for her ability to re-align the joints and provide a lasting solution to pain removal. Thanks, Lennea! It's a pleasure working with you!

From the front desk, nurse, anesthesiologist and surgeon (Dr Messini) I had zero complaints. There is an online portal that you can use to message the team and view your summaries and medications I've spoken to over 6 different people (scheduler, front desk, surgeons nurse, etc) and always receiving the help I was seeking. If not immediate, I had a follow up call or voice mail to close the loop. Several days ago, I re-injured a shoulder rotator cuff causing sharp pain, considerable aching, loss of sleep, and limiting personal care. An MRI and a medical examination of the original injury signaled the need for a complete shoulder replacement. Instead, I chose a treatment plan of physical therapy and acetaminophen with a cortisone injection when needed. The recent re-injury caused sufficient pain to seek a cortisone injection. Therein rests my review of Olympia Orthopaedics. My physician is away on vacation and cannot order the injection. No health care provider is identified as a standby during his absence. The schedulers must "find a team that is willing" to order and give an injection during my physician's absence. Olympia Orthopaedics Urgent Care Clinic does not give cortisone injections. My torn rotator cuff and re-injury is certainly not an emergency. However, I await a resolution to my current need with the experience and thought of "once out the door...". Clearly, Olympia Orthopaedics needs to have a contingency plan/policy for continuity of care for patients when a health care provider is unavailable for whatever reason.

But The bad is: Sometimes I felt ok is this a session to help out my physical problem or... is this some life coaching program I was not comfortable with so much in depth personal talk. I went home knowing more about her life, family and dog than I did anything else. Now I'm friendly and all but I felt her social friendliness was more of a ruse to make time go by without doing much bc I seriously could have been done 5 mins into it but with all the personal talk it would last 30 mins to 1 hour and I would leave with just 2 new excersises ( forcing you to keep coming back for another move) so I stopped going and went to Apple and I'm glad I did it saved me a lot of money.

I went to Deborah Simonetti at Simonetti PT, it was Mon. and DS seemed in a bad mood. The chiro wrote specifically to do passive therapy involving ultra sound. Deborah was non communicative, pulled my shirt up without saying what she was doing and pulled my pants down without saying a word. I felt humiliated, but waited to hear what she was doing. She said almost nothing about what she was going to do to my back - IGNORING completely what the chiropractor suggested. I asked questions, she assured me that this is what SHE thought I should have. I canceled my second appointment - DS needs training on working with people! She needs to work on her communication - very badly! Especially working with people in pain! I felt humiliated and in worse pain than when I walked in! She suggested nothing like "drink lots of water" or "ice"- didn't even say goodbye! Perhaps she should be a mechanic working on THIINGS without FEELINGS or PAIN!!! DO NOT GO TO THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A BROKEN CAR!!!

I have been a patient at Providence St. Peter Outpatient Orthopedic and Hand Therapy since Aug…read more2023. I was referred by my primary care doctor for relief from shoulder pain. After two months of treatment, my therapist suggested I see an orthopedist, which I did. As a result, I was given X-rays and an MRI which revealed I had a torn rotator cuff, SLAP tear, bone spurs and severe arthritis. I tried non-surgical treatment by continuing PT and an injection, but the pain persisted, so it was recommended that my shoulder be surgically repaired. I also had a frozen shoulder and my surgeon cautioned me that he would not be able to operate if the shoulder was still frozen. My therapist worked with me for two more months in an attempt to "thaw" my frozen shoulder. I went in for surgery in Jan 2024, and the surgeon was able to manipulate my shoulder and complete the surgery. The damage to my shoulder was worse than anticipated, but the surgeon was able to complete repairs. Two weeks post-surgery, I went back to PT to rehabilitate my shoulder. I am still in PT and likely will for a few more months, as I regain my mobility & strength. I have worked with several of the Physical Therapists and a PT Assistant, including Christy, Jordan, Nancy, Mark, and Jessica. The care I've received has been excellent - it is painful, but I am getting better! Shoulder surgery is a long, difficult recovery and I was told to expect it to take 6-9 months to be mostly pain-free, and a full year to restore my strength, which was complicated by a detached biceps tendon that also requires repair. Slowly but surely I'm making progress. I definitely recommend Providence St. Peter Outpatient Pediatric Therapies if you need to rehab a shoulder, knee, hand, etc.

This location bills as hospital outpatient (hence the name) and they don't tell you that! Physical therapy is billed as a hospital visit. That means instead of getting a $25 copay you get $1000+ bill! I had a single visit billed for $1200 when my insurance says I only owe $25. What they're doing is legal but highly immoral. If you want to go to providence, go to the tumwater facility. Same organization but I hear they bill correctly.
