Whoever is running this business should be ashamed of themselves. My mother passed a number of years ago. Her very simple estate was all "transfer on death" (so, not in probate) except for one account. These vultures used free court records to find her name and the names of all family members listed as alternate executors, and have been sending all of us scam letters since her death, claiming that my mother's estate is "currently tied up in probate court" and that we are all heirs (if we just pay Advance Probate via "flexible funding options.") Absolute crap. The estate was settled years ago. None of these family members (except me and my sibling) were heirs. I had to explain this to my elderly aunt and a cousin, who received these scam letters. Absolutely mortifying. Also, the letters say that "Advance Probate" is a "BBB A+ Rated Accredited Business." The Better Business Bureau says it is not. And you might notice, there's no address listed on the letters. Just a phone #. Stay away. Don't get scammed. read more

Like many others that complained about this company, I find it repulsive that they pour over probate records trying to find grieving family members to "help" by sending unsolicited junk mail. What I find more repugnant is their inability to read basic information... if you read enough to get a persons name, and spent the time tracking them down, you probably could have read enough to see that the person to whom you were writing to offer an advance on their inheritance was specifically disinherited in the will. If people wanted your services, people would reach out to YOU for your services, no one should have to go out of their way to request for the vultures to stop circling while they are grieving. It is shameful and inappropriate the way this company attempts to solicit business from people in mourning, and loathsome how they claim they are doing it to help you. Quick service, Jay was extremely helpful and got back to me very quickly. I'm not going to lie the portion they take is quite high but when your in a desperate situation like I was it is a life saver. It took almost two years in total for my fathers probate to be settled and the distribution was not even disputed. Thanks to Probate Advance, I receive multiple mailings a week reminding me of my family member's death. Yay grieving and loss! Normally I wouldn't be so annoyed by junk mail, but this is the 4th mailing overall and 3rd in one week. All for a probate case that wrapped up months ago. On top of that, I find that no one else in my family is receiving these mailers which is mind boggling. I suppose I have enough mailers to share now! It takes a certain kind of person (bad) to try and take advantage of those dealing with death. Receiving a letter that looks like it is from the federal government is the tip of the iceberg. This type of business practice is in absolutely poor taste. If someone is in need of this type of service, they should have enough common sense to search it out. Receiving this is salt on a gaping wound, and it truly takes a low life to send it. All I can do is be honest on my reviews as I always am. Probate Advance has been a lifesaver and I'm quite grateful . After losing my mother things were crazy for me and I was in a bind . Had no credit / bad credit, just started a new job but pretty much homeless. I knew of these advance places but was kinda skeptical. I knew they were kinda pricey but hell I tried it . Adam was so honest and helpful it's ridiculous. The process was easy and quick . Word for word what I was told is exactly what happened. So I have actually worked with Probate Advance and it has been an absolutely terrible experience. When my mom passed away, I contacted several probate advance companies for funds to assist in offsetting some of the going costs of the estate. I also worked with Probate Lend and Inheritance Funding, both of which have been excellent to work with. For all the reviews complaining about the existing and nature of probate advance companies I will be the first to say that their services can be a lifeline for a particular group of people, and I found myself in that group. But Probate Advance is put together a contract that ultimately allowed them to get out of making a second payment worth thousands of dollars while still retaining the original equity share of the estate contemplated in the agreement. They are unfair, predatory, and it was a huge mistake and a regret of mine engaging them for assistance. read more

Probate Advance recently sent my mother a letter after my brother died to inquire about his estate and her inheritance money. She started crying immediately to think anyone would think she was more interested in her sons money than him. No one in my family contacted this business, which begs the question, how did they even know if my brother had an estate? The letter came from Matt Milim. Matt must have searched on line to find a family member as he sent it to my mom using her maiden name, ( she is 90 and has been married for 66 years).
