And yet another has gone on to produce multiple personalized fitness programs for clients, while training and placing in fitness (and body-building) competitions. What's more, over the past few year, I've watched these graduates leverage each other in building their careers and finding their niche. That's a testament to the education AND quality of students - people who will remain colleges and peers throughout their career. At it's core, personal training is about people. If you are considering a school, instructors and student culture are important factors. AAPT seems to have nailed the formula to help you kick-start a sucessful career in personal training.

This whole class is a scheme to get you to give them…read moreyour money, $6K for this "school" is insanely excessive and to top it off THEY DONT PAY FOR YOUR NASM EXAM!! The discount for the NASM exam is a WHOPPING $100 off a $600 test. The Diploma from AAPT means JACK to a gym looking for PTs they want the NASM CPT Certification that (you would think would be included in a school which teaches NASM curriculum) is required for MOSTLY ALL gyms ESPECIALLY outside of MA. NOT WORTH IT. The class room portion (in a 3 month class) is INCREDIBLY FAST and MORE SO needed to take the Exam then the "hands on" training which is very NON hands on seeing as the classroom instructor doesn't SHOW you how to train someone, they just show you different planes of motion and exercises you might want to use, DUMB, it should be structured for 3 MONTHS, so we can actually SEE PROGRESSION rather than come up with a different exercise for your random partner they pair you with every day. Each student should have had ONE client the whole class so they could get used to setting THAT PERSON up with a program they've been training every week so they can see PROGRESSION through ONE person so they can gauge if they actually ENJOY training someone because you're not going to LIKE all of your clients so you have to LOVE training. I really wish I knew from the get go that this class didn't INCLUDE the NASM test because I would have picked a different "trade" school to attend. Honestly, this review would have been completely avoided if the Director just did her job and submitted the normal amount of hours for the people that were in the class through disability/VA programs and didn't mess up A BUNCH of times on the submissions even when she knew that some people were living off the measly income they received from the attendance and she was too petty to care even though it wasn't her money given away but she is a DITZ and really doesn't care about anyone but herself.

The beginning of September he still was sitting in the classroom and told to just read the books and take notes, the teacher would just sit on his phone. So a few kids in his class said something to the teacher and the dean that they were told they would be in the lab no longer then 3 weeks after starting school, they were told that the recruiters just say that to get people to insist . A few weeks later my son called me and said he was going to quit because nothing had changed and the instructor actually fell asleep in class!! So I got involved and said that something needed to change!! The next week they finally got in the lab and was enjoying actually being hands on learning how to work on vehicles! Unfortunately to that only lasted a little over a month. The end of November my son finally said he couldn't do it any more, they were back to just reading books and doing modules all the time. He was not learning ANYTHING and paying a ton to do it. I told him to talk to someone higher up and when he did they said "this is how we run this school and we don't really care if you don't like it We feel so lies to and have to pay for months of NOTHING!!! If I could personally tell everyone who is even thinking about going here to run the other direction I would!! Definitely a terrible experience and after reading all the reviews that are so similar to ours, I'm really surprised thia school is even able to be open or have students go there. Graduated from Launch; obtained job…read more I applied to Launch Academy since I was looking for a way to kick start my career after I lost my previous job and after weighing a few options ended up deciding on Launch and I think I can say it was honestly among the best decisions I've made in my life. The staff were extremely welcoming and supportive the whole way through and the students I worked with were also great. Even after graduating from Launch I felt I was connected to a great network that I can always reach out to for anything which I think some other bootcamps really don't give you access to. Now I won't shy away from it but this experience is NOT for everyone, you have to put a lot of money upfront for the course (like most bootcamps) and the curriculum is intense but I think the end result is truly worth it as you'll come out with understanding of technology that you did not have before and be ready at least put your foot in the door of the industry. If you're looking for a bootcamp that feels more welcoming but also will get you the tools you need for future programming jobs then I would recommend Launch.

Hi Folks, I…read moreoriginally posted a response to the guy complaining about the interview process as I enjoyed the initial interview but have to post a two-starer here as I found the staff very poor communicators about money. I had to ask several times about how to pay, put off work for several months in order to attend, and spent a lot of time fundraising because the staff were unclear about how their payments plans worked. Feel free to message me for more info but I've decided to use One Month Rails and the free tutorials out there until I finish graduate school because the experience with these guys left me unsure about whether or not I would even get a decent education with them. I think they're a little immature in general and irresponsible financially. A lot of these bootcamps have a "large group awareness training" vibe to them, the enthusiasm behind which I was perhaps blind enough to enjoy, until I realized that they are incapable of providing a product or service in a way that would be helpful to me. I also had to bring up a lawsuit to get the deposit back - and call and email several times. Not a fun process. They made the ludicrous assertion that they don't refund deposits because of "all the resources" that they provide before the course starts, or something to that effect, but I still don't have access to the resources they promised other than a Dropbox file with books I would find for free that arguably aren't even the best materials on the subjects they suggest students study before the course starts. They also said I was getting access to "people," but the co-founder was going to be unable to address my issue for at least three days and the other available people were the folks who didn't understand how to communicate effectively to begin with. I had to remind them that I am an adult with a career and a life and that their admissions process was hindering my ability to get on with either. Their response to me was that the "family" there probably wouldn't be a good fit and that they were "revoking their acceptance" - I had to point out that if that's how they treat their family, they certainly don't deserve to call themselves one. It's also a pretty bad sign when businesses that can't be up front about money start calling themselves a family to make up for their lack of professionalism and inability to provide the structure and resources they promise you. I give credit where credit is due and the only thing I can say is at least they kept most places of the building clean. I started community because I needed to go to school but I originally was gonna transfer and my guidance counselor told me to transfer from community cause it was "easier", personally not my case but it does depend on per person. I want to also say I do have anxiety disorder and speech. And severe ocd. I am diagnosed since I was a child. I do take medications. So I was prepared for anything or so I THOUGHT. the first day of school for me WAS awful which I should've seen coming. I was already anxious kid but when I walked in the staff completely ignored me - but I gave it okay because my parent is a teacher I totally understand the stress it was crowded mildly. I asked a question and finally someone told me the direction turns out he took me to the wrong area - then they asked another person who told me to go to point b and IT WAS THE WRONG AREA. getting lost was okay because I knew college was gonna be like that. After I finally founded my orientation station the guy was so RUDE AND MEAN! I tried making small talk like hellow happy first day and he was like yeah not happy for me. Like OK so sorry to bear that and he asked me to sign up for my personal email thing and I was having trouble and basically when I told him he said what are u deaf and took my computer and did it for me but my lord is was so unwelcoming. So I went home with a pit in my stomach. I gave it THREE weeks before I quit and left. Basically when I picked for classes at the meeting class thing. THEY WERE SO UNHELPFUL - first off these grown as women were in front of me acting all high and mighty like ma'am ur 30 I'm 19 please don't act like u weren't 19 before and didn't know anything. Anytime someone asked a question they would snicker and the staff would see and laugh a little TOO!??! LIKE WHAT. THEN they messed up my schedule I told them my major but they didn't tell me I needed to take a math and English they just gave me a few art classes and told me I'm good. Then for finial aid I had no idea about this fee for and the girl there was like well I did mine last year so I can't really help u. Like SCREE U AND FREAK OFF UR THE FREAKING STAFF WHAT RHE FREAK. then my classes started after I managed to get fixed. And let me tell u OMG! u will be lucky if u find some good professors I only found one out of six classes who was SUCH AN AMAZING GUY. HE REALLY CARED ABOUT WHAT HE TAUGHT. my math professor kept yapping about her alcoholic issues and my graphic professor would just assign us stuff and not really teach. I know people say community College is bad and I just want to preference by saying that is not TRUE. there are so many community colleges that are so caring and actually care about education. This however is NOT IT! they were super unwelcoming, you only get stuff done if u literally dominate them. And honestly I know in my classes the way the interactions was so weird like I don't know if some students aka grown ass people and teachers acting like this is high-school. This one girl didn't have a chromebook and this grown ass teacher was like what u can't afford it? Like sir no she can't so what, u can HELP HER?!?! MAKING HER FEEL BAD FOR WHAT??! I excepted some maturity because highschool was the worst but whew i was clearly wrong. Im now in a art college waiting to transfer to a art uni so it worked out for me. Our daughter specifically asked to visit MIT during our trip to Boston, and it ended up being one…read moreof the highlights of her visit. As a parent, there's something special about watching your child stand in front of a place they've only heard about and start imagining what their future could look like. We spent time walking around campus, taking photos, and soaking in the atmosphere. What stood out most was how much the campus felt like a place where people are actively building and creating things. There was an energy to it that was hard to describe but easy to feel. We also had a memorable moment when a professor kindly let us inside one of the buildings. It wasn't something we expected, but it gave us a glimpse into the community and generosity that can make a place feel welcoming rather than intimidating. Even if you're not a prospective student, MIT is worth visiting for the architecture, history, and sense of innovation that seems to be woven into the campus. For our daughter, it was inspiring. For us, it was fun to see her dream a little bigger.

There's no mirrors in the bathroom, security shuts the lights off on you while your in the…read morebathroom, they lock the bathroom doors so even if you have to go really bad they don't let you, the teachers are more worried about kids having their phones on them instead having their faces covered by masks, and the portable classrooms outside are slippery. in general it's not a safe environment.
