She was friendly and very helpful, even though I didn't have an appointment. The optician came right Pitt after I waited a minute, and after looking at my glasses, told me she can fix it! Took her about 5 minutes to do a beautiful job of replacing the nose piece. Had me try my glasses on to make sure it sat well. She was also very friendly, and told me she waived the fee. I was blown away by the customer service and the kindness of the staff. I highly recommend this business, an would come here to get my next eye exam!

I am due back as I could not have my pupils dilated had I had to go back to work and be operational. That is the only cloud in this very blue sky - having to wait another 3 weeks before being able to do this part of the exam and finalize my contact lenses prescription. I received my glasses prescription by email. I don't know if I love that or hate that I was not offered to have glasses done. A bit of an anticlimax as consequently I have contact lenses and glasses that do not match my now new prescription.

Several years ago I located his practice after retirement, when I no longer had VSP coverage, and my vision care provider at the time, a major UC affiliated clinical practice, which was current with Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) refused senior medicare insurance. Dr. Ensor is among a very small number in the bay area, who is well versed and equipped in monitoring and in available treatment options for AMD, being on call 24/7 for emergencies in vision changes, and his office accepts medicare and other related senior insurance plans. But, more importantly he and his entire staff are sincere, empathic, and provide the highest level of patient-based care. My wife is now one of his new patients. I have been in the office two times and both times we ended up joking around/laughing about something. But I can see how if you did not engage her in conversation she may appear otherwise. The doctor was very personable, we talked a bit during the exam where he took the time describing how the eye works/ages, how my eyes were doing, what he found there, etc. We also ended up talking about some tangential things too. I do not think they have the best selection of glasses, but they did have quite a few for a small office. I am sure if you don't find what you want you can work around that. She examined both of my eyes closely based on my comments and diagnosed the issue pretty quickly. I am so thankful that she gave my poor painful eye the attention it needed. I also really appreciated all the covid-19 precautions everyone in the office took. She also has treatments that no one else had offered. After the initial period of regular treatments, I experienced relief. Now, I have treatments every 6 months and I no longer have dry eye issues. Dr. Flemming and everyone in the office are always helpful. When I almost gave up on treatments (it does take a number of treatments) she would encourage me that the program will help. She is right.
