I have been to a lot of fish stores and the guy there is not very helpful in regard to knowledge of salt water tanks. Very dismissive when asking questions about the livestock and tank set up. The women that works there has been more helpful but not a lot of knowledge. Prices are about 20% higher than other shops around. I do not recommend this business for new reef aquarium hobbyist. read more

It's good for the quick run in and grab. It doesn't have everything we need, however serves the purpose. Prices can be high in certain items .We did get a new fish from here. We explained what we currently have in the tank so we could get a fish that the other fish would not fight. Well.... sadly the fish lasted a week before the other fish killed it. Definitely wasn't compatible. Next time we will do our own research prior to getting a new fish. read more

This place is HEARTBREAKING! Many fish are crammed into areas they should not be, I saw many dead fish, fish pacing extremely hitting their face against the glass, it seriously made me hate saltwater tanks! These animals should be in the wild if they are not endangered! It's sad watching majority of these fish turn into zombies! Flesh hanging out of them, a puffer fish in the back couldn't move his whole body just his eyes. It's seriously heart breaking to see something like this. I will NEVER be back and if I was able to report this place I would. Haven't stopped crying how sad. read more

Customer service was horrible. I walked in and just got stared at with no hi or hello. I asked where something was and they just pointed without showing me exactly where it was. The customer service alone made me not want to spend any money in that place at all. Very disappointed. read more

I should have taken pictures but there was so much wrong with this store. Every aquarium looked filthy. Items were so cluttered from the shelves to the items left on the floor due to lack of space. Dead fish in most freshwater tanks. Was told a certain type of fish was something other then it was leading me to believe worker was inexperienced/lacked knowledge on what store has to offer. Store was unkept with poor lighting. Which was rather surprising considering the store is in a very nice plaza. Honestly shocked at how unkept this place was. I had high hopes considering the location and will not be going back. This place is open on Mondays and my reliable store is closed Mondays which is my day off which lead me here. If this place is close to you just go to the aquarium show. You'll thank me. read more

After reading all the reviews I almost didn't go but I'm glad I did. I see why some people complained because I saw two guys in the store and one of them is definitely unapproachable and grumpy or to least appear so. Squeeze right by me without saying hello welcome to the store, anything. No friendly face there. The next appears to be a younger guy who approached me relatively quickly asking me if he could help and he did. I did see a lot of aquarium tanks to the point that is very cramped in there but all the tanks the water looks nice and clean and they must have almost every kind of fish there is LOL. I have a tank that has not had any maintenance in a long time and they tested my water for a dollar and told me my problems and then helped me find an inexpensive test kit to check up on it also told me how I will fix it. The cat was reasonably priced so I bought it and I was grateful for the advice. It might just of been a bad day for the other gentleman but I would not want to go to the store and find them to be the only one to take care of me and I would probably shop more if the younger guy was there alone LOL. It does not appear to me, although I'm in no way an expert for sure, they had a lot of things to sell other than these fish because I didn't see many isles you can walk down and browse for things to put in your aquarium like even basic things like thermometer. I guess I'm intimidated to go back there because it looks like the grumpier man in my opinion just talk to a friend of his once in a while but does not engage customers and it looks like you really have to know a lot of things before you go in there so you can ask some thing intelligently knowing what you want. It is the polar opposite of Petsmart or pet supermarket who are really friendly but don't have a lot of expertise and nothing really elaborate read more

This a really awesome store. They have a great selection on saltwater fish and freshwater. A good amount of equipment too. Their prices are very fair and the person who serviced my home tank was very careful and respectful. Keeping fish isn't easy. People feel like they walk into a fish shop and EVERY employee should k on the answer to every question. That's not a reality folks! I recently purchased a 29 gallon tank. This is my first big fish tank besides a 3 .5 gallon which housed a Betta. I've been to some of the chain pet stores and the customer service there is hot or miss. Usually miss. So I decided to check out Professional Fish Keeoers to inquire about a sponge filter and buy some fish for the tank. The fist thing you notice when you walk in is how crowded the store is with tanks. The walk ways are super narrow. Walking through I noticed how dirty the tanks were and how some of the fish were in such small tanks. I felt so bad for a lot of them. I walked around the store a few times and got completely ignored by the staff so I left. I then stopped at the closest Petsmart and bought what I needed. Very disappointed. read more

All i can say is I'm disappointed you call yourself the "professional" fish keepers and all i have gotten from my experience with this establishment is regret and disappointment. I have a very well kept 100 gallon tank and i decided to add a fish from this store and after a year and a half of no water issues i added a dish from there store and with in a week i have no lost all of fish that i had previous to this addition. The fungal bacteria that this store had living in their water which i introduced to my tank with the added fish addition, killed an entire 100 gallon stocked tank in as little as a week. This just shows how UNPROFESSIONAL this fish store is when it comes to taking care and maintaining health fish. I will not be returning to this store and will never send anyone there that is looking to have a healthy living aquarium. read more

Over priced, poor customer service. No prices anywhere which means you have to wait till the one worker is done trying to help a customer just to get a price. If you're a saltwater fish lover, this place is definitely for you. It was my 1st time visiting the store after driving by for years. I didn't have pet fishes until few months ago and I decided to take a peek at this local aquarium speciality store instead of my normal large chain stores. If you're looking for beautiful guppies (All guppies were $2.99) or all sorts of livebearer hybrids, this is a great place. They do have betta, but not a large selection. Their prices isn't over the top and are reasonable for a small business store. I wish I have a saltwater tank because PFK have soooo much beautiful and exotic tropical fishes, starfishes. corals, reefs, vibrant shrimps, and so much more in this shop. I especially love this one big pufferfish they had, cutest fishy face ever! I only went in out of curiosity, if my tank was bigger, I would have definitely purchased some freshwater fishes. read more

Horrible service I've came here 2 days in a row to get some things to start my new fish tank and the first day he was on the phone for 20 minutes before he helped me second day I came i walked in he literally walked past me and I just waited and waited he went to the front and after waiting for nearly 15 minutes I walked up to him and asked what do I have to do take a number? Me being sarcastic, he said he's doing a water change. If he knew better he should close the store to get what you need done and not waste someone's time. If I could give the service zero stars I would I will never come back here if this was the last fish store on earth ! Answering all the questions I could throw at him after finding some coral that I liked I asked the prices they were a bit more then I wanted to spend but he made it happen for me.
