The Tomini Tang and the PJ Cardinal were cool looking fish. They also provide fish tanks and accessories including fish food and cleaning products. I purchased a Golden Dojo Loach, which died less than 24 hours later. Shortly after introducing it to my tank, my betta fish--who I had gotten on Father's Day and had cared for over the past two months--began to show signs of illness. This fish held deep sentimental value for me, as I got it shortly after the tragic passing of my father in a car accident. As a veterinary technician working in the exotic animal field, I was quick to recognize the symptoms and took immediate steps to quarantine the affected fish. I later learned that all of the Dojo Loaches at your store had also died, confirming that the fish I purchased was infected and introduced illness into my aquarium. This was not the result of negligence on my part--I maintain a clean and well-monitored tank. The source of the infection was the fish your store sold me. When I reached out to explain the situation and express my distress, I was met not only with a dismissive response--"It is what it is"--but also with laughter, as though the situation were humorous. I found this response deeply unprofessional and frankly hurtful, especially considering the emotional context and the effort I've put into caring for my animals. I had to spend $96 on medication to try to save the remaining fish in my tank--treatment that should never have been necessary. I did not infect my tank; your store did, and yet I was left to bear the financial burden. As someone who works in the veterinary field, I fully understand that animal loss can and does happen. What made this situation so disappointing was not the loss itself, but the careless and unempathetic way it was handled. The lack of accountability and professionalism, combined with the visibly poor conditions in your store, left me extremely concerned. I've been an aquarist for over a decade, and he is the very first local fish store staff member to ever explain the differences between male and female emerald crabs and how they interact in reef tanks. That kind of passion and willingness to educate is rare, and it made my experience unforgettable. Prices are fantastic, and the livestock is healthy and thriving. I picked up a diamond goby and a peppermint shrimp... both in great condition. I'll be back later this week to add some coral to my tank. I also enjoy coming in and finding other aquarium lovers are inside chatting and sharing photos of their tanks. It has a great community feel. I really like getting live rock from them. They have a large amount that you can look at and really get the pieces you want for a good aqua scape. They also have a good selection of supplies, live sand, and they have fritz turbo start which is an essential in my book. It is a great store and I plan on continuing to shop there.
