Upstairs bathtub had a drain leak that caused a stain / wet spot on the downstairs living room ceiling. I contacted Chad via Yelp and he responded in a very timely manner. We discussed the problem and settled on a schedule. When an unforeseen event impacted the schedule, Chad was very open and responsive to advise of the change. His communication was very appreciated. Upon arriving, he surveyed the area, draped drop clothes to protect furniture, etc. and proceeded to open the ceiling. He had the leak identified, fixed and the ceiling closed in a few hours. Chad lives up the name "Professional Handyman" for sure. This is my first experience with him. First of all, it is hard to find someone willing to replace window channel balances, most handy people that I could find don't do it and most window people would rather replace the whole window. Chad came out and did so at a very reasonable price with high quality work. Communication was great. The Professional Handyman (TPH) replaced our particle board stair landing with plywood that will blend in better with the existing solid wood treads when stained or painted. The project involved removing and reinstalling the surrounding wood trim as well. TPH maintained a very clean work area to ensure the rest of the room was kept clean while he worked. Chad is professional, skilled and experienced. He repaired my fence gates which were not working properly. I thought I would need new gates but he made the old ones work with new parts, realigning the way they hung, and reinstalling latches that were done wrong by previous owner.
