They have taken an active interest in me and my business from our very first phone call and initial meeting. They offered wonderful advice, tips, and tricks during that meeting (even before I had agreed to hire them) about the best practices for building a brand, making sure it is cohesive, and following it through. Miri and Nicola took the time to listen to my thoughts attentively and get to know me personally so as to better translate that into the brand they would create. As a result, their initial proposal was comprehensive and nearly spot on. They worked with me to tailor their services to fit my need and budget. They were flexible enough to be willing to maintain and work with content that I will be providing from another source. This is a testament to their desire for my continued success. I am a bit of a perfectionist and they, with their fantastic designer Alex, went back and forth with me to make slight changes to their designs until I was 100% happy; always challenging me when they felt I was making a misstep. This again shows how much they care for their clients and the businesses they help to advance. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, they have been working with me to adjust their work and the content they have provided to better fit my business as I begin to pivot in a different direction. I am certain that their products, knowledge, work ethic, and timely results will continue to astound me as they continue to foster a wonderful working relationship with me for years to come (and I am so looking forward to it!)

Kulak's Woodshed is a live music event venue, video recording and private music recording space. It's limited capacity, intimate and thoughtful. Brought to life by Paul Kulak, a local indie thoughtful big in stature and heart man whose love of music, sound and visuals brought this space in to existence at the tail end of the 1990s. A space for musicians to thrive, from grammy winners to new to expressing their gifts. I've passed the Woodshed many times in my 15 years in the SFV, but only recently started to enjoy it including their live webcasts and concerts via Facebook Live. Offering greatness on Laurel Canyon between Magnolia Blvd/Weddington Street, mere steps aways from my favorite local art supply store Carter Sexton. It's in a of creativity, expression and artistic joy. Check out their Mondays, musicians can sign up by 7pm for Singer/Songwriter Open Mic. Mostly supported by Paul's hard work, incredible volunteers and audience donations. It's an all welcoming, all ages, all genres and styles of music space. Beverages, snacks and conversations are all self served. Pet friendly environment, but good to be mindful others especially with allergies. Street parking is your friend, though if you don't mind a stroll parking a little further can be easier especially at night, rideshare or even metro as it's less than half a mile from the nearest station. They do not allow any alcohol, recreational or hard substances inside. It's indie, it's music, it's Kulak's Woodshed.

A rustic~eclectic joint hidden in between shops on Laurel Canyon, unassuming yet filled with love, laughter, song and MUSIC! My kinda place...And YES, they do charge a cover because this place needs money to keep musicians playing and their doors to remain open. It's not a big cover charge so not sure why anyone would complain about supporting local talent...just sayin... Bookmarked this place a while ago and was so happy to check it off my list a few weeks ago when I went to hear "The Eldermen" play here. I loved the decor. A mash up of bar stools, stadium seats, sofa's and a Queen size bed...yes, a queen size bed! Stage is smack dab in the middle with a pretty good view from all surrounding seats. *Snacks, drinks, and restroom are located back of house. *Check the website or insta for events calendar *Street Parking only

John, thank you for your response -- although it's highly inaccurate and dismissive of what…read moreactually took place. As you mentioned, there are always two sides to a story. Unfortunately, in your role as a leader, you made no effort to reach out and hear mine. I had to initiate contact with your company, and it took several days before I was able to get a response from you directly. That silence says a lot. For the record: I was invited to my friend's home -- a resident who pays for your company's patrol services. As I was walking toward their front door, I was stopped in their driveway by one of your patrol officers who questioned what I was doing there, whether I had been invited, and why I was "still outside." These questions were intrusive and unnecessary, but I still answered every one of them respectfully. At no point were voices raised -- not by myself, nor by your officer -- and that's clearly evidenced in the security footage recorded by my friend's home surveillance system. In fact, a concerned bystander stepped in to stand between myself and your officer's vehicle because of the uncomfortable and unnecessary escalation. It is deeply troubling that your response disregards this context. More so, it reflects a service model that does not prioritize accountability or fairness -- especially when dealing with situations involving racial bias or profiling. My friends, the paying clients, reviewed the footage themselves, were apologetic for what I endured on their property, and assured me that what took place was wrong. I also have multiple neighbors who witnessed the incident and have offered to speak on my behalf. It's clear from both your actions and inaction that this company does not truly care about providing respectful or professional service to the communities it patrols. I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.
