I recently had my first accident, car vs deer. I have full coverage with Progressive and gap insurance through the lender. Progressive is delaying the process unnecessarily assigning to an adjuster that is overbooked. I called the adjuster Victoria Cross to ask for the appraiser information, she stated she would email it to me if she was allowed to release that information. I called my lender and they provided the phone number and email address to progressives appraiser. I called the appraiser and they advised progressive did not send him the information needed to work on the appraisal, such as the total loss valuation, proof, and other requirements. So I reached back out to progressive to let the adjuster know that I spoke with the appraiser and he needed that information. She emailed me back to tell me that they have assigned a new appraiser and the turn around time is now 2-3 more weeks. The date of loss is 04/10/2026, it has already been over a month. I will never choose progressive again and I do not recommend their insurance read more

I signed up with Progressive insurance when I bought my truck. I sent in identification. Nothing has changed with my id. I was quoted one rate, but it went up and I was charged more. I sent in my id for verification. Since I have a Class E which is possible for hire, the rate drastically shot up. I don't recommend anyone to sign up with this company. read more

THEY WON'T PAY FOR YOUR HOME TO GET REPAIRED. A few months ago we had a bad hail storm hit our house. My adjuster (Tabitha) at Progressive has been giving me the run around about paying for our broken siding. They've claimed it wasn't hail damage, denied estimates from our contractor, told me to patch it with small pieces because they won't even pay for the siding that's broke much less to have a professional do it. save yourself the frustration and stress. I just called 1-800-776-4737 and spoke to Beth for 25 minuets. For 20 minuets she explained to me that I owed progressive $900+ that was removed from my bank account today 8/20. She clearly stated that I was not owed a refund. After an extremely frustrating conversation that Beth told me many...many times that my policy rolled on the 16th so I am just paying what I owe. Email I received by progressive Aug 17 10:51AM central Policy cancellation confirmation - Confirmation XXXXXX submitted 8/12/2024 Effective 8/15/2024 12:01am Email received I by progressive Aug 18 11:13PM central Policy canceled ay my request *Please note that you no longer have insurance with us effective 8/15/2024 In the LAST 3 minutes of our conversation she explained that a document was sent snail mail explaining that I would get a refund in the mail in 2 weeks. My son in law's hyundia elantra was stolen in December 2024. It was found with the driver window smashed to pieces, the steering wheel destroyed along with the steering wheel lock bent/ destroyed, and a crack in frint windshield. My son in law is 27 years old, NEVER had an accident and NEVER had moving violation ticket. The only claim is this theft in December. Progressive CANCELLED his policy that was in place for several years even with his exceptional record. PROGRESSIVE covered a portion of the theft damage but after an extensive lengthy delay refused to cover the front windshield that was damaged in the theft. Photos by Tow Truck Company showed the damage and how it progressed from a crack at time of towing to REPAIR shop to a full blown line across the windshield at time of pickup by customer. I have provided before photos prior to theft, tow truck photos with small crack, and photo by customer at pickup with traveling crack across windshield. We are filing a complaint with the Missouri State Insurance Dept,, Missouri Atty General, Better Business Bureau. I suggest you consider other insurance carriers and NOT PROGRESSIVE Insurance based on our experience. State Farm has always treated me with respect and fairly since i was 25. I am now 72. The Kilo Agency helped guide me in buying my first car. They have slways been fair, timely, helpful, with hood communication. There may be other Insurnce groups that are good but my State Farm Agency makes me feel secure and supported in times of trouble. Research and choose your insurance with great care. read more

Progressive Auto Insurance I am very frustrated and disappointed. I just got off the phone with a Manager at Progressive Auto Insurance. The Manager was polite but frustration comes from the way they conduct their business and how little they seem to care through their policies about their customers loyalty. I have been just a few months shy of 20 years with them and have had a clean policy (not very many claims ~5, and maybe 2 speeding tickets). About a year ago I made the worst mistake of my life after my divorce I got my own policy and they honored the time that me and my ex-wife had an auto policy with them. I was happy at the time since I had gotten the car that I really wanted a Tesla Model Y. When I went to insure it of course I opted to go with Progressive Auto Insurance they offered me several discounts including Snapshot which I tried but after a couple of months I found out how much of a scam that is. They track phone usage (which I agree people shouldn't be distracted by while talking on the phone and driving) every time I cast my music to the car using my Bluetooth. Then they said I had constant hard accelerations and hard breaking which I contested as well because my driving is always smooth. And all this was tracked through their app. I tried really hard to see if I could change what they claimed but I found myself more frustrated and stressed out trying. Then I decided that Snapshot was not for me when I tried cancelling the person I talked to they told me that Progressive would penalize me for canceling and made it sound that I couldn't without getting hit really hard with an increase in my bill. I decided to continue, and towards the end of the policy I traveled overseas and was not sure if I was going to continue with them. When I came back I was not able to get a better policy so I called them and asked them to remove Snapshot and the only way I could remove it was if I was given a new policy when I was quoted with the new policy the price was higher than the previous year but less than others. I took it and didn't think about what changes they were quoting me. I was frustrated then but ended up taking it. And of course about 4 days ago someone hit my car which prompted me to do a claim and as I reviewed my policy I realized that what I was quoted was worse than the previous policy the price was higher and my loyalty of almost 20 years was not honored. I called them and spoke to a Manager and told them what had happened and their answer was that because of the policies they couldn't honor my loyalty. I am writing this because I am very frustrated with Progressive. I have home insurance and auto insurance with them for almost 20 years and that doesn't seem to matter. Zero is more like what Progressive should get. My husband was backed into by a Progressive insured. She jumped out and said she didn't see my husband, he was sitting still. We have just under $3,000.00 in damage to our truck. Progressive decided that they would give 50% responsiblity to my husband as he sat still in a parking lot waiting to park. How can this be? They are the worst! I am tired of fighting trying to get Progressive to pay what they owe. I want everyone to know if they won't pay someone that their client was 100% responsible for, then how will they handle claims that they accept responsibility for? I am so angry and disgusted by Progressive!!! Their prices may be cheaper in some cases, but they are NOT worth the headache or stress. Progressive are CROOKS! I will be informing ALL my clients, my employer, my family, my neighbors and all my friends!! They have added a stranger to my policy - and increased my insurance. You heard correct .. a STRANGER!! I asked WHO is this person and where did they come from???? The only answer I received was they found an address?! I rent - so do you know how many people could have used this address prior to me?!?!?!?!? This is unacceptable and completely unethical!! I am filing a complaint with the Insurance Commissioner regarding their false practices and adding people I DO NOT KNOW to my policy! In the world of stolen identities that we live in today, you would think that they would VERIFY or DISCUSS with you before adding a STRANGER to your personal policy!!! They are refusing to remove unless I sign something saying they dont Drive my car. But WHO Is this person??? How can someone I have NEVER MET, NEVER SEEN, DIDNT KNOW EXISITED, DONT KNOWNIF THEY ARE MALE OR FEMALE- be proven as a non driver?!?!?! WTH?!?! I asked them over and over.... I did NOT receive an efficient answer! I asked for a supervisor and their Underwriting worker named ANTOINETTE, who's employee number is #09888 (if she told the truth) says her supervisor name was Micah, but she could not put him on the phone. I REPEATEDLY asked for a Supervisor, and was told Supervisors are not available but may call me back 48 hours later? Customer service is NON-EXISTENT with progressive. She then HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!! I will be speaking with the Insurance Commisioner, and my attorney as soon as possible! * * DO NOT PURCHASE PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE ** or they will add STRANGERS to your policy, just to increase your premium! DECEPTIVE PRACTICES! Who knows who this person is... if They can find an address for a stranger and add them to my policy, then why cant they spend the money they steal from the insureds and FIND THE PERSON AND VERIFY WHO THEY ARE!??! This has stressed me beyond belief. But NO MORE! I will take my business elsewhere. I enjoyed my last provider so much better, but made the change for the rate - - NOT WORTH IT! I am very disappointed in Progressive Insurance!!! If you want an insurance company that responds quickly to your needs and CLAIMS Then Progressive IS NOT THE COMPANY for you!! I've had Progressive Insurance for over 5 years and they are good at taking your money but NOT GOOD at handling your claims!! My son moved back in town and I bought him a car and insured with Progressive. The vehicle was not very expensive so I only put liability on it. FYI, I have 2 more cars with full coverage!! As it would happen someone backed into his car causing front end damage. This person is also insured by Progressive. This should not be a problem but it seems to be!! The accident occurred on October 6th!! Today is November, 4th. There is a police report which Progressive never attempted to retrieve it!! I wound up getting it and I had to send it to them!! It's ridiculous to think that the insurance company can't get a report but I can and I have to send it to them! The police report is very clear and states that the the other driver backed up the wrong way on an exit ramp and collided with my son's stopped car. Progressive's position is that they are not going forward because the other driver has not responded to several requests. Now I have supplied a police report that is very clear as to the fact that the other driver is at fault!! My son is stuck with a car with a damaged front end, a broken head light and no turn signal. Progressive still wants to wait till November 6th to START the claim!! NICE!! That's over a month after the accident and who knows when it will actually resolved!! I keep calling and gone to a supervisor with no response!! SO if you want an Insurance Company that is happy to take your PAYMENTS but not be there when you have an issue then PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE is your company.
