I am also asking TDI to review my complaints regarding Miracle Mitchell-Jones, including that she rushed and badgered me, was rude and disrespectful, failed to provide information I needed concerning the vehicle inspector, lacked appropriate empathy and professionalism, and handled my post-accident interview in a manner I experienced as unnecessarily confrontational. Complaint Regarding Adjuster Miracle Mitchell-Jones I also request review of the conduct and claim handling of Miracle Mitchell-Jones. The communications of particular concern occurred on or around July 28, 2026; July 31, 2026; and August 6, 2026. Rushing and badgering During these communications, I felt rushed and badgered while attempting to explain the accident, ask questions, and obtain information about my claim. I cooperated with Progressive's investigation, but I believe an investigative interview can be thorough without making the insured feel pressured or badgered. Rude and disrespectful communication: I experienced Ms. Mitchell-Jones's communication as rude, disrespectful, dismissive, and inconsistent with the professional customer service I expected as a paying policyholder. Vehicle inspector information I needed information and assistance so that I could communicate relevant information concerning the vehicle inspection. I do not believe Ms. Mitchell-Jones provided the information or assistance I reasonably needed to understand or participate in that part of the claim process. Lack of empathy and professionalism: I understand that an adjuster must remain objective. My concern is that objectivity does not require impatience, dismissiveness, or discourtesy toward an insured dealing with a serious accident and total loss. Post-accident interview I am particularly concerned about the manner of the post-accident questioning. I felt badgered and rushed rather than neutrally interviewed. I request review of the complete recording, if recorded, including tone, pacing, interruptions, and whether I was given a reasonable opportunity to answer fully. read more

Absolutely unbelievable experience dealing with Progressive Insurance after being injured in a multi-vehicle accident caused by their insured driver. Progressive was fully aware that I was injured. Their adjuster specifically requested my medical bills and documentation in order to evaluate my injury claim and settlement demand. I cooperated fully and provided the requested information, believing my claim was being handled fairly and in good faith. Instead, Progressive chose to exhaust the entire bodily injury policy limits paying other claimants while allocating absolutely nothing toward my claim -- despite already knowing I was an injured party with an active pending demand. To make matters worse, there was apparently no attempt at an equitable or global settlement among all known injured claimants. I was simply left with nothing after months of communication and documentation. Now I am forced to file complaints with the Texas Department of Insurance, the Texas Attorney General, and the Better Business Bureau just to get answers regarding how this was handled. Consumers should be extremely cautious when dealing with Progressive on injury claims involving multiple parties. Based on my experience, being cooperative and providing documentation does not necessarily mean your claim will be treated fairly or even considered before policy limits are exhausted. I expected professionalism, transparency, and fair claim handling. I received none of those things. read more

I was shopping around for Auto/Home rates and Progressive had the best auto rates and matched my home rate. I decided that their quotes would save me nearly $200 a month so I agreed to continue to make the switch. I completed the auto policy just fine and selected that they notify my current provider of the change. I moved on to the home portion and the low quote was denied due to age of home. All of the home details were asked before I had gotten tot his point. The next option was nearly $2,000 more annually. Because of this, I had to then reach back out to my current provider to tell them to disregard the request to cancel my policy. Seemed like a bait and switch. If the home portion is not hard quote, then do not have me go through the auto portion before finalizing the home portion. read more

On 12/12, I was wrecked into by a person making an illegal u-turn, and who was found at fault for the accident. As a driver for Lyft, I needed a rental immediately with a vehicle that i could use for work. I was told by her insurance (Progressive) that she had rental reimbursement under her policy and that I could rent a car but would be be refunded until after repairs to my car was made. I was then left to pay for my rental every week until my car was ready. This was an inconvenience but I was assured by the agents that I would be refunded. My car took 27 days to repair. I rented a car and renewed 4 times in total ant $395 each time. Once it became apparent that the car would be ready I was told then (after roughly 25 days) that I would only relieve $30/day! Completely unacceptable. After complaining about this, I was given $40/day. Still not acceptable but by now I had used my savings and was working only to pay for the car rental and daily living expenses. I had no choice but to take this refund, planning on filing a complaint and pursuing the remainder of the balance of what is owed. Called about getting insurance for my twins who are both in the Navy. Not only did they not know how a military person can register as an address for the insurance, but I also got hung up on once I tried to inform them and wanted to send them the federal regulations that apply. I called back five times and, after finally speaking to a supervisor whom no one wanted to connect me with, the supervisor said, "We don't give any military discount, and we don't go by federal guidelines when it comes to the laws since we are an independent company." I then told them how can they disregard the people protecting our government and your freedom. I said that the era of Bidens Communist ways referring is over, and thank God we have a president who cares more about the military than the previous one. His response was, "We don't care who is president or not; we just don't give any special discount or any special payment plan." In essence, he stated, "I guess you can say we don't really care if someone is in the military." I got Progressive, have had them less than a month. I bought a new car out of state and had it brought here. I had my car I was turning into the dealership parked at my nephew's home when I got my new car. I told an agent with Customer Service that I had it parked there until it went back. My son brought me my new car from Missouri. I have jumped through hoops for this company. They wanted so much. They wanted the registration on my New Car. I told them I cannot do the registration until I have the title, and all the paperwork which they will send me in the allotted time. I then got yesterday a cancelation letter from them because all three cars are not parked at my residence. All three cars would not fit at my residence and my car was parked in my nephew's driveway in front of his 70,000 truck and his brand-new other escalade. I really think a thief would of taken those over my Kia. I had put post on Next-door to see who people use. Where do I start with this allegedly manufactured quote. I purchased a new vehicle in one state ,five months later I relocated to another state. The same coverage doubled. The direct agent not a local agent informed me I could reduce my coverage to get a lower quote. I removed everything down to the state require and the reduction was $175.00 My coverage jumped from $3000 to $6000 for the same coverage. As I reviewed our recorded call I listened closely how the agent was trying to get me to get less coverage. Less coverage means if I was involved in an accident my premium probably would not cover the damages. Something is wrong. I moved from a city of almost 50,000 with higher crimes to a town of 5000 with very little crime. This is crap. They asked how many miles I drive ...less than 12,000miles. My former vehicle I drove 5,500 in a year in a half. I have no tickets,a no fault accident four years ago. Five months ago the agent said because the no fault accident is within five years it impacts the coverage. Now the current agent said it's seven years. In my opinion,they assumed that the money I bought my vehicle was from the accident in 2020. Hence they jacked it up. Thats about $500 a month to drive 2000 miles. I have owned luxury vehicle for years Volvo, BMW,Land Rover and now a Mercedes.Never had I ever had such an extreme quote My Land Rover was the same as the Mercedes now it doubles because I moved to a small town. I've been insured with these folks for 3 years, and everything was OK until my most recent renewal. Even though *knock on wood* I've never gotten into an accident while insured, not even so much as a traffic ticket, they doubled my insurance rate out of nowhere. My rate was 199 (and before that, my payments were about $140 and I used roadside assistance once and they jumped my monthly payment to 199, total b.s.) and they bumped it up to $420!! Insane.. I called and asked if it was a one time renewal payment of $420, and they said this was my new monthly payments. I asked the lady over the phone why bc I haven't been in any accidents and my record is squeaky clean, and she said "because the rates in my area have increased". Y'all... I'm not going to give progressive insurance a rating because I tried to cancel my insurance 5 days after I paid for the month and they are charging me an additional charge for cancellation on top of my monthly fee. I should be receiving money back for not finishing the month. Instead they are not worth the headache to deal with. They opt you out of snapshot because you don't drive your car enough and then they increase your payment without notice. They are just after the money and don't care about the clients. Don't go with Progressive they add drivers to your policy without permission from the policy holder just because they live in your house it's bull. On top of that when you call to have them removed because they don't drive any of the vehicles on the policy they won't remove them without a piece of paper being signed. When told it was sent back in through the mail and they haven't received it pushed my payment to 622 dollars when my rate was 298 and the customer representative said I should go buy a fax machine and fax it in. Worst Insurance ever!!!! They took my money for premiums and now that I've been in an accident they refuse to pay. I started trying to communicate with Progressive to collect on the accident within a couple of days of the event. I have spoken with someone from Progressive over the phone more than 30 times and mailed at least 4 letters. Progressive staff have been difficult to reach, when reached they are rude, combative, defensive, demeaning, defiant, and uncooperative. Many wouldn't tell me their names or give me their license number. They have repeatedly told me my truck and my injuries were of little to no value. And, they were doing me a favor just to talk to me; one of them even sent me an email that had an embedded virus and spyware link. On top of all of this after over 16 months of trying to get this resolved they have sent me a threatening letter to destroy the truck and not pay damages accusing me of abandonment. They are trying to walk away from this claim and NOT PAY anything! They are crooks! If you are using Progressive for Insurance you are throwing your money away. read more

I have tried several times to despite this charge with Progressive. I was a loyal customer. This company placed my daughter on my insurance policy under a vehicle she had no access to without my permission. This company took it upon themselves to run a household check on my family. My policy was canceled the exact same day and they opted to place this balance on my credit report. Here's why 1) If you got yourself into an accident doesn't matter who's at fault they'll charge you the deductible regardless then raise your rate immediately next time due. And the accident will go into your record as "bad/demerit" 2) They don't protect you as their clients. If you got into an accident they'll tell you that and I quote "your case is in surrogate....." meaning they're waiting on the other party to admit their fault (when in fact it is clearly the other side's fault) and you have no idea when the other side will admit their fault because you, as a client, at their mercy you just don't know whether Progressive is talking to the other side on your behalf.
