I was introduced to this place by a friend and also a patient I had taken care of. THANK YOU! Omg, after working with 4 lash artists over the span of 5-6 years- I can safely say that I've found a new home and lash artist to have my extensions done. Project Glow not only does lash extensions- they also provide waxing services and eyebrow tinting I believe. The shop itself is really modern and cute. There are 6 beds that are comfy with blankets to keep you warm (time for a lash nap) and they play pretty good music. I've had the pleasure of working with Daisy for all of my appointments and have received the MOST compliments with her style. I leave the shop feeling confident, nothing is stinging my eyes when I go for that first eyelash wash after 48 hours, and I don't know what magic she does- but my extensions are now able to last 3 full weeks (when in the past I would have major fall out after 1.5 weeks). I've never had any problems finding a parking spot each time I've gone for my appointments. The commute from Daly City to Oakland during the week (between 11-1) isn't bad. This was only my second time getting eyelash extensions. I liked the decor & the vibe of this place; It is relaxing & clean. In fact, it was relaxing to the point that I fell asleep. Everybody was friendly and professional. Ashley made my eyelashes look super soft and voluminous. She was able to unstick a few eyelashes that apparently had been stuck together, with a couple of small baby hairs caught in front of the extensions. This had been a mistake by the previous technician who told me I was overthinking it when I mentioned to her that I felt mild irritation. I wasn't sure if it was just me getting used to having extensions on my eyelashes, so I didn't want to belabor the point. It seems that this was not just an adjustment period however because I felt immediate relief of the irritation on my eyelid when Ashley expertly resolved the issue without me ever even mentioning it to her. I was so grateful and relieved. My eyelids feel 100% comfortable and calm for the first time in 2 weeks; hence my motivation to write a review! She spent time brushing out the lashes after she was finished, to ensure they were not stuck together; something the previous technician did not do. I have had some not so good experiences in the past when it came to getting lash extensions. They always came out stiff, uncomfortable, didn't stay on for very long. And they never gave me that glam, doll eye look I always wanted. I was going on a month long trip out of the country and really wanted to have a low maintenance look that still looked good lol. Like the "no makeup, makeup look" that everyone talks about. So I decided to take a chance and try this lash thing one more time. And I am so glad I did! Ashley was my lash technician. She was sweet, professional, and knowledgable. She walked me through the process, assuring me that it was not going to be my "usual" lash experience. They came out looking amazing; super curly, super long, super comfortable on my eyes. I was pleasantly surprised. Plus she uses REAL mink lashes!! And they lasted my entire trip! Will definitely be going back to her and Project Glow again! :) Her studio is located inside of IZEK Salon Spa. The studio is cozy and chic. Everything was clean and hygenic. Bummed to be writing this review as I've been going here for a few months now and seeing Janice for waxing and she was great. However, for my last appointment Janice was sick so she asked me if I wanted to see another girl. She set me up with Jenny. Jenny was very sweet, however she had no idea how to use hard wax or maybe was new to waxing. She said she usually uses a different type of wax but the salon was out. That was a frustrating to hear because if the salon is taking an appointment, imo its their job to have the equipment and materials needed to provide the service. In the end, I came home with so much wax still on me and still had to shave because Jenny missed around 30% of the hair. She also charged me $20 extra which I realized when I got home. I did not have Jenny's info so I texted Janice to flag this issue to her but she ignored my text. I would have preferred to talk through this situation with her but since she didn't engage, I am leaving the review on yelp. Sad to say I will not be returning to Project Glow. read more

I had a hard time writing this review because I've been going to PG for over a year. I really like Ashley and Janice, they are the best. I stopped getting my lashes done for a few months because of allergies, and since I have a big trip coming up I decided to get them done. But Ashely and Janice were not available and I read all the good reviews about Emmy, so I decided to make an appointment with her. That was a BIG mistake!!! I don't know what these reviews are about but not only she wasn't professional, she did a terrible job on my lashes. A big disappointment after me being so excited to go back there after a while... She treated me very poorly that I was 10-15 minutes late. Cut the appointment 10 minutes short, so what?! You don't have to be a b* about it! Then when she turned on the lights my eyes were super sensitive and got me a minute to get use to it and she told me I should leave if my eyes are not comfortable with a really bad tone. She left the bed multiple times without even telling me while I have my eyes closed for 2 and half hour appointment! She would rest her hand on my nose while doing my lashes which was super uncomfortable, I couldn't even breath! I specifically asked her to not put lashes in the corners of my eyes and there I had long lashes at the very corners of my eyes. The lashes were going to all the wrong directions with big gaps between them after a 2 hour and 15 min appointment and $200. I am just glad this is not permanent and will go away at some point. read more

I've been to sooo many different spots. About 10 years ago I would go to Walnut Creek every 3 weeks, that was the best option back then. I went in .. she greeted me and we discussed lash options. She was prompt and on time and did a fabulous, fabulous job. This is my second time ever having eyelash extensions and I'm so very happy. I have thin sparse lashes and she worked wonders on me. Ashley has a warm kind personality. We talked through the whole session. She's very fun to talk as well. Shes very thorough and gives instructions and after care suggestions. I have attached some pictures because I am so happy with her work and will be going back for a touch-up in a couple of weeks.
