Thank you SO much for this boot camp training!!! I had scheduled my exam to occur shortly after the training and took it the following week. (In general and noted in the guidance and some of the other reviews below, it's not advised that people do this and give themselves a little extra time). Thankfully, VERY happy to report that it still worked for me (due both to your training, excellent guides that Educate 360 provides, and my years of PM experience). I personally did the in-classroom education on the weekends (8 hours on Saturday and Sunday for two weekends in a row). While it is a lot, I knew that it provided me the focus to concentrate which I knew that I would struggle with keeping focus for that long on-line throughout the week after a long day at work. It really depends on what you think will work for you but thankfully the program offers a lot of different options to fit your needs. Their website learning path also has practice exams, plenty of quizzes, and videos to help you practice in between boot camp sessions prior to actually taking the exam. On to collecting PDUs to make sure it never lapses :) *Note: the class doesn't include a copy of the official PMBOK and other PMI guides (although they provide/teach all the same concepts albeit in their own format) but you do get a free digital copy of these if you become a PMI member. read more

I took the PMP Project Management Academy Prep Course (May 3 - 6 2021) with Michael Einstein and have completed my exam on February 15th, 2022. Michael was incredibly knowledgeable and led the course at an incredibly engaging pace. Given how long the days are and the amount material one sits through, Michael engaged us and provided enough real life examples to keep us engaged and focused. I signed up for the 5 day course. Based on my experience, I didn't feel like the Bonus day was as helpful as the content and examples Michael covered. Regarding the course materials itself -- I would say that my favorite tools were the EXAM Practices and the review session. The prep exams seemed harder than the actual exam, and allowed me to have good marks on the actual exam. The other thing I really appreciated was the video content, after taking the 5 day course, I was unable to commit to studying due to other obligations, and when I resumed my studies on December 2021, reviewing the videos quickly brought me up to speed on the material Michael covered and allowed me to take JAN and FEB to study for the test. Project Management Academy was also very kind in extending access to the materials after not being able to commit right after taking the class. My suggestion would be to study and schedule the exam as soon as you can after the classes to save yourself sometime. Happy with the experience! read more

I was going to take the PMP class last October and had already taken one session when my mom unexpectedly had to be admitted to the hospital. I called and without hesitation the customer service team let me reschedule my class for another time without incurring additional cost. I was able to take the weekend class that spans 2 weekends. I liked the Marriott location in Boston much better but the place they used (can't remember the name) was fine. PMA has great online resources and their practice tests are very helpful. You also get all the course materials and books you need with the class itself. The instructors were also great. I had Jim the first time and then Scott the second time. Both came from industry and were engaging (as they could be with this dry material). I was able to study on my own post the class and use the online portal. I successfully passed and would highly recommend the program from PMA. I would also personally suggest taking the initial assessment and becoming familiar with the material a week before the class, taking the class and doing the work and then based on your practice tests post class give yourself a week or two of additional studying and then go for it - don't drag out the test or all the stuff you learned will fall out of your head. read more

Just ended my weekend PMP boot camp with Russ Thornley this past weekend at 1200 Beacon st. I highly recommend taking this boot camp with him. He is very knowledgeable and fun. When I first signed up for this boot camp, I thought to myself how I going to last through this class without falling into sleep. This was a four day boot camp. Each day was from 8:30am to 6:00pm. But Russ knew when to throw a couple jokes or interesting stories. I felt fully engaged the whole time. Great boot camp! Great instructor! read more

Highly recommend this boot camp I passed first time! Collaborative and knowledgeable instructor Jim who paced the material well and read the crowd for waning energy levels. I took a non standard approach of doing the exam straight after the course as I'd had previous courses taken to get PDUs and used this as a last minute cram clash. I wouldn't recommend this but to set the exam a few weeks after the course as there is so much you really need to revise. Material covered was very in-depth and study guides etc were extremely helpful. Mock exams are great also online. Was also an opportunity to meet a nice new bunch of like-minded professionals. Room for improvement to PMA considering the cost of the course it would be good to throw in a little boxed lunch, some soft drinks/snacks etc. Room was a bit crowded for number of people on small desks in the first weekend slot. I really enjoyed the class, particularly our instructor, Karl, who was very knowledgeable and made an otherwise dry and technical subject matter fun and engaging (which was especially important for an 8 am start on Saturdays and Sundays!). Karl was able to answer all questions and infused explanations of difficult concepts with humor, which made them easier to remember and retain. I passed my PMP exam and am certain this bootcamp helped me tremendously. Additionally, PMA offers an extensive library of high quality learning material to supplement the class sessions, a huge practice question bank, and the tutors whom I bombarded with questions responded to my emails in less than 24 hours! I recently passed my PMP Certification Exam and I am not sure that I could've done it without completing the July 2020 virtual class with John Dokos. Although this course was scheduled for 4.5 hours after a full work day (for us on the east coast)....John had a way of keeping the class engaged and making the content relevant with real world examples of what was being presented. Teaching us how we can apply the principles in the real world made it so much easier to digest! The amount of content that is included in the PMBOK can be intimidating to say the least but this class sets you up for success in so many ways - study guides, practice exams, etc. I would highly recommend this class (and John!) to anyone interested in getting their PMP Certifcation. -Mike read more

I had an excellent instructor (Asad Haque) during the 4 day boot camp in the Marriott Hotel conference space in Burlington. The amount of content was over whelming, however, Asad was able to present it in such a way that it was easier to take in and recollect. His knowledge in the area is amazing. I had to decompressed for a few days after the course, and took the test a week later. I spent around 3 days studying the guides provided and took 3 (4hrs) mock exams. This was a great set of training and awesome value for the money. I was able to pass the test confidently (the first time) after doing this boot camp. I don't think I would've even attempted it without first using Project Management Academy. Staying at the hotel right there where the training is is definitely the way to go if you can afford the added cost, gives you time to study after class and removes most distractions. Ben R was the instructor and did an awesome job. I felt like he knew the material inside and out and had really good ways to remember some of the harder content. I am happy that I took this boot camp. It was a two weekend course which fit my schedule very well. Karl my instructor was great. Very knowledgeable and made the classes somewhat fun. The program that PMA setup is wonderful. I mean all the resources from the workbooks to the videos to the study guides and more were great tools to help me prepare and then pass the exam. Word of advice... do not plan to take you exam right after this class. I set mine up about a week after and but the end of the class knew that was to soon and pushed it back a few weeks. Bill breaks down the concepts in a way that truly prepares you not only for the PMP exam, but also connect theory to practice to prepare you for the project management field. I just completed the Project Management Academy four day PMP boot camp. I must say I'm impressed by PMA. The course was extremely well-organized--even *interesting* at times. (The PMP curriculum is extremely dry and detailed!) The instructor, Karl Cheney, couldn't have been better. He's knowledgeable, organized, clear, animated, and funny. The course could have been well-nigh intolerable without an instructor of Karl's caliber. On top of all that, PMA's website provides a wealth of study aids, as well as valuable information about applying for the exam, testing center rules and conditions, and resources for maintaining one's PMP certification. The venue--Marriott Courtyard in Coolidge Corner, Brookline, MA--had a lot going for it. It's in a most convenient location with reasonable off-street parking. They even put out free cookies in the afternoon! However, "climate control" and rest room maintenance left much to be desired. read more

I took the 4 day PMP boot camp course through Project Management Academy. This course was held at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Boston. The instructor, Anand Pulchan, was extremely knowledgeable about the material, the exam, and how to best prepare. His interactive style, sense of humor, and use of real life examples kept me engaged through out. Just finished a class with Adrian Mendoza in Brookline, MA on Feb 23rd! It was incredible! About the instructor! Adrian is funny, affable and very knowledgeable! He has a unique ability to provide a real-world examples to the subject matter currently being taught. This was very helpful for students who were learning this for the first time! To ensure that we got the most out of his class, he often stayed late and also arrived early to help those with questions. About the classmates I must have gotten lucky, because my classmates were great. After the introduction, we all found out that we had a lot in common and easily became friends. The discussions in the class were lively and fun. About the Course 4 days, 9 hours per day. This was made easier by the classmates and the instructor. The course was designed to met the 35 hour educational requirement needed to apply for the PMP certification. We were provided everything that we needed to complete the class. All we had to do was show up on the last day with a laptop/tablet and take a mock exam! The course included details around requirements for the PMP, and then walked us through the PMBOK chapters in a very logical manner and supplemented this information with a Study Guide. The class would have to answer questions after each chapter to ensure that we had a firm understanding of the materials. Studying for the PMP is difficult because: - The subject matter is not industry specific, meaning that some of the decisions made in the process tend to go against what one would commonly do in some situations in a particular industry. - You are bombarded with new terminology and concepts - The test is long (200 questions and 4 hrs) and tricky as some of the questions can have multiple correct answers, leaving you to decide which is best while others can have a totally different answer just by adding a word like "maybe"! Adrian, did an excellent job walking us through test questions (breaking them down and providing the reason why one answer was better than another as well as discussing tips and strategies for selecting answers when you aren't quite sure which is correct. He even talked to us about how to choose a testing center! I chose Project Management Academy because it guarantees that you will pass the PMP exam and become certified. That's a heady and bold guarantee, but it mitigates some of that risk by providing the students everything they need to be successful including a website that only accessible to students that has video instruction, periodic online instructional webinars and several mock test that you can access to test your knowledge. I had been studying for the PMP for a few months and needed something to bring it all together, as well as be able to ask questions in the subjects I had doubts in. Against all odds, this course was excellent. The back-to-back-to-back-to-back FULL days of learning and lecture combined with the relative dryness of the material was the recipe for a week-long snoozer, but Ben Rebeske, the instructor, did a masterful job of making the content interesting, relevant, and memorable, and by the end of the course my knowledge of the material had SKYROCKETED from where it was when I began.
