I took the PMP Boot Camp in Nov 2015 with Jim Higgins. It was absolutely key to my ability to pass the PMP Exam a month later. Anyone who has even glanced through the PMBOK can attest to the fact that it is overwhelming by itself. PMA's Boot Camp broke the PMBOK down into digestible sections and presented it in a logical way that facilitated retention. The in-class questions and review sessions helped reinforce the information, and the four-day intensive program was exactly what I needed to allow me to really focus on the PMP. The course materials were great as well--the quick-reference sheets, guide to taking the exam, and slides were a great way to review everything without having to always read through the cumbersome PMBOK. The online material was just as valuable. The flashcards and questions were an excellent resource when I had a few minutes of down time at work or was eating lunch at my desk. The full-length practice exams were beneficial in multiple ways--not only did they help show me the areas where I needed to focus a little more study attention, they also gave me the confidence going into the PMP Exam to know that I would do well. For me, that confidence prevented me from second-guessing myself on some of the more tricky questions, because I knew I had command of the material and that my first answer was probably right. Overall, I can't recommend the course highly enough to anyone who wants to pass the PMP Exam using a fast, efficient approach. I took the PMP class in May 2019 from Gregg Richie. Before the class I felt very intimidated and overwhelmed by the PMBOK - it's a large quantity of fairly abstruse information. I walked out of the class feeling that I had a grip on the material, mostly understood it, and passing the exam was a possibility. Four weeks of studying later, I passed my exam on the first try. What got me from point A to point B was a combination of PMA's very well organized presentation and Gregg's inimitable teaching style. He's totally committed to our success and keeps up a high level of energy for four intense days. I don't know how he does it. He breaks the information down into digestible chunks and draws connections between the various processes. He explains the logic behind the PMBOK. He keeps the material entertaining. It's amazing to have a teacher that's so committed to helping his students, even after the class is over. That level of commitment helped me get invested in the class. He also had useful advice for filling out the application to take the exam. PMA has really great post-class study tools as well. There are a lot of test questions and you can choose to drill in on specific knowledge areas where you're weak. Their support also goes beyond just what's in the PMBOK to test-taking strategies, tips on tricks to look out for, and preparation for what the exam process will be like. These were very helpful when it came to exam day. These people know what it takes to help you pass your PMP. It's not an easy exam and I would have had a much harder time of it without their extensive support. read more

I took the 4 day virtual boot camp class from Project Management Academy (Jan 29th, 30th and Feb 4th, 5th 2017). Needless to say, I passed the PMP exam in first attempt. I am blessed to have the training instructor named Scott Rudowski. He is really awesome and the way he explained the concepts and his way of teaching made the concepts feel so simple. He explained the knowledge areas and Process groups with real time examples and scenarios in a convincing manner. He is so patient in answering all the questions of the group and I have learnt a lot from him. Also, the training material provided by Project Management Academy is really close the exam pattern of PMI. I was totally dependant on the material PMA provided and I never ever read PMBOK. Yes. Especially the Inputs, Tools and Techniques and Outputs sheet and PMP exam Prep sheet helped me a lot to revise the concepts on a big picture once in two days. Thanks to who prepared those ! When I was taking my PMP exam, I could recollect most of the questions from the practice tests given in the Project Management Academy website, thanks to all those who prepared the tests and they are real winners. I have attempted 10 practice tests online in PMA website which helped me 60% to pass the exam. Also, the tips provided by Scott Rudowski while training were registered back in my mind and that helped me to pass the exam in first attempt. Thanks Scott, you are the master. I admire you forever ! I took the Project Management Academy PMP boot camp November 2022 in Vancouver, WA. I must say that the in person training was probably the only way I was going to pass the PMP (which I did yesterday ). It's hard to compare other course options, but I can tell you if you want an in person live class, this is the way to go. It helps with my instructor, Gregg Richie, being very passionate, which honestly kept me engaged the entire four days. Additionally, being in the same room as like minded individuals was a big plus for networking and face to face open in-class discussion. One thing they can work on is focusing more on their online portal they have. Their practice exams were much harder than the current PMP exam, but then again, they main be done that way on purpose to prepare you for the real thing. Other than that, they do have weekly follow up sessions you can join for further support and all instructors (I met two other ones: one in fifth day class and another in weekly follow up session) are knowledgeable and friendly. That added support is a nice touch. Lastly, they support you through the PMP application process too!! read more

I took the PMA boot camp because they were the top approved educator by PMI to administer this PMP training. They have great, quick responding customer service. The boot camp and program are worth the money. Gregg Richie was our instructor, and he did a great job of communicating what we needed to know, with a nice dose of humor added to the mix. Gregg followed up with all of the students after class and went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed to pass the exam. I passed the exam following Gregg's tips and instruction, and making sure I utilized PMP's training review videos (those really cemented it in). I think the online resources PMP gives you with the program (practice tests, review videos, webinar tutoring, and more) is more than enough than what you need to pass (you do have to study). Overall I had a great experience (not saying it was easy, but I was given the teaching & tools I needed and I used them!), and would definitely recommend PMA as your comprehensive classroom towards passing the PMP Exam. I took the PMP Boot Camp offered by PMA in August 2015. Gregg Richie was the instructor of the class. I was told that the PMP certification exam would be the hardest test I ever took, which is why I signed up for a Prep Course. On the first day when I saw the amount of material and the PMBOK that we were to cover the next four days, I was concerned that I was biting off too much. Gregg was very thorough in covering all the material in the PMA Exam Preparation Course and terms everyone could relate to. Gregg showed us the PMA website and all the study aides that were available to PMA students. They have the full course online for review; flash cards; Questions and answers based on the Process Groups and Knowledge Areas; Multiple Mock Exams, and more... I took the PMP exam on Dec 21, 2015 and passed thanks to Gregg and the knowledge shared by everyone who attended. I attended the PMP Bootcamp in Vancouver, WA in November of 2019. The course was recommended to me by a coworker and I didn't know what to expect. Let's just say I walked away from the course with a wealth of knowledge. Gregg Richie elevated the course to another level. His method of teaching and ability to maintain schedule given the large amount of material left me more than prepared to take the exam. PMA also provide many helpful training materials as part of the course and a copy of the PMBOK. Gregg truly cares about the success of his students and it shows in his demeanor. He is animated and his tricks to remember certain subjects stick. If given the option to take this course in preparation for the PMP I highly recommend. After the course Gregg doesn't just walk away. I attended the PMP Bootcamp in Vancouver WA, August 2020 with Gregg Ritchie. I admit I had zero understanding of the PMP foundation before the class, only 15 years of managing marketing projects, and I walked out of the week feeling prepared and excited for my PMP Certification. Gregg was an excellent and extremely knowledgeable instructor. We had a small class which I think helped, but we were able to ask questions, discuss, and I never felt like I was falling behind or intimated. I appreciated the flow of the class, and the valuable tips and strategies for studying and passing the exam. Happy to report that I did pass on my first try!! If you are wondering if this class is worth it.. it is 100% worth it! I don't know how you could pass the exam without taking this course. I took the PMP Bootcamp through the Project Management Academy on November, 2019. Our instructor was Gregg Richie and he was a very memorable and excellent tutor in my opinion. He delivered the material in a very unique and meaningful matter which made me even more interested in the discussions around Project Management as it relates to the PMBOK Guide. My biggest takeaway was that he was very relatable in so many ways and it allowed me to have an open mind about my current practices vs. what I could be doing differently and/or more efficiently. His knowledge was very ample and he was honest about how brutal this exam can be. I took my test 2 days ago and I passed. Not only did I pass but I also scored above target in all process groups except for 1 which was at target. I took the PMP Boot Camp in November, 2015 in Portland, OR. Jim Higgins and Gregg Richie were the instructors. Jim did a fantastic job leading the class, keeping us on track and still leaving enough room in the day for one on one conversations and instruction. Gregg is, I'm pretty sure, a walking PMBOK, and his contribution to the class was top notch. The in class instruction increased my understanding of areas of project management that I had never used before by breaking the PMBOK down into manageable sections and moving through it in a structured was that made sense. After the classes ended I was impressed by the resources on PMA's website as well. The practice tests, videos and Friday tutoring sessions were invaluable to me as I prepared to take my PMP exam. I went into class without anything more than on the job experience managing projects for a small credit union. When I saw the amount of material and the PMBOK that we were to cover the next four days, I immediately thought I was in over my head. Once Gregg started going over the material and relating PMBOK terminology to real life, I was excited to be there and no longer overwhelmed. I signed up for the PMP webinar bootcamp on Janurary 1st (PMP010519VIR-P-W) and received all the material within days. The administrative staff was very responsive and ensured I was well prepared for the course. The webinar included 4 full days throughout two weekends which is great as you get the time between the two sessions to get prepared. Our instructor, Scott Rudowski, was very knowledgeable and constantly tied the learning material to his real life experience which helped a lot. He provided us with a detailed exam preparation guidance and was available for follow ups after the webinar as necessary. PMA has a website full of resources that gets you well prepared, as well as 1Hr live Q&A session every week. We were a group of ~16 and the webinar was smooth, interactive with no technical issues. I decided to take this course since I had failed my PMP exam the first time several years ago. I was hesitant at first because of the cost, but after taking the course I know it saved me many times over what I paid. I'm sure I would have most likely failed again if I had NOT taken this course. This course was taught by Anand Pulchan, which was his first time at teaching with PMA. You would never had known that though since he was very thorough and made sure to answer any questions we had. I was especially impressed with the course materials handed out, and the study materials on the PMA website. I took three practice exams: one during the course, one the day after, and one the day of my exam - which I took two days after I completed the course. I took the PMP Session in Portland/Vancouver based on a referral from another colleague who had used PMA previously. There were two contributors that prepared me to pass the PMP exam on my first attempt. First, the instructor, Mike Strachan knew the material and taught the class as an expert. He was able to keep me engaged and connected our content back to professional examples effortlessly. Mike was a tremendous resource for me after the course ended when I reached out and asked for his perspective on some processes that I wasn't mastering. He took my call and spent some time to diagnose the problem and provide me with some direction to seek. I had a very positive experience with the PMA's PMP boot camp in Vancouver, WA. The instructor, Gregg Ritchie, was able to keep the class on track, cover the material thoroughly and bring just the right amount of humor to the class. His voice has a similar cadence to a drill instructor, so it was easy to pay attention (seriously, it was helpful). I passed my PMP exam the day after class ended and know I can credit that to Project Management Academy and Gregg for teaching to PMI's expectations. The mock exams on the web portal (available after you pay for the class) and the in class exam were very realistic and helpful. If you want to lean how to be a Project Manager, a less accelerated route would be more beneficial, but if you want to pass your PMP exam, Project Management Academy is the way to go. read more

I attended my company inhouse PMP bootcamp at Sept 2019 with John Dokos and I passed my PMP exam with 1st try within 3-week after I completed the bootcamp. As many of you may already know, PMP journey is long and difficult. John's teaching certainly made my PMP journey much easier. John shared a lot of his real-life industry experiences during his teaching, which did not only help me to understand the PMBOK concepts but also help me to learn how to apply these PMBOK concepts during the PMP exam and even use them on my real job. In additional to his real-life experience, John also taught us some testing taken tips and techniques that I found very helpful and utilized them on my PMP exam. I took the course in June 2016, taught by Gregg Richie, and cannot say enough about how helpful it was. Gregg's teaching style is interactive and engaging, and he makes the material very easy to grasp. Additionally, his strategy is specifically targeted at helping students pass the exam instead of just spoon-feeding information, and he does it very well. My project management knowledge (at least in the "PMBOK" world) was very limited prior to enrolling. However, after completing the 1 week course, I felt much more confident, and with the training plan and study tools provided was able to pass the PMP my first attempt. I took the PMP Bootcamp class in August 2014 right after I moved to Portland for Chicago. I am going through a career transition, and really wanted to enhance my resume by getting my PMP. I passed the PMP a couple of weeks ago, and I know it was the training & guidance I received at PMA, let by our instructor Gregg Richie, that allowed me to pass on the first try. The material was robust and relatively easy to follow, and Gregg really knows his stuff! I took the PMP exam prep course virtually from John Dokos of the Project Management Academy 2019. I found the course challenging but the combination of John's thorough instruction and the very good materials, both hard copy and electronic offerings from the website portal, enabled me to prepare so that I could pass my exam on the first attempt. I'd certainly recommend the course if you're thinking about getting your PMP. I found I needed significant time after the course to memorize, understand and really internalize the processes, definitions, formulas and general content in order to feel ready to take the exam. I would have preferred more practice and application and discussion like one might receive in a brick and mortar class, but this worked out for me and I passed. read more
