Multiple excuses followed over the course of approx 8 weeks which ran from a flood has ruined the carpet, carpet delivered faulty, the fitter is sick, the wholesaler has delivered to the wrong location and the fitter didn't collect the carpet in time from the wholesalers. Following explaining our concerns and intention to report to the police he yet again promised to fit on a number of occasions and then refused refund. He admitted spending our money and has stated his bank account is frozen and he has no money to buy the carpet or refund us. He continues to reorder the carpet to show the invoice to prove he will fit the carpet but having rang the wholesalers they state that they won't give him anything without payment because ' they know what he is like' Internet searching now reveals that He was struck off companies house in Oct 19 and goes by multiple business names , personal names and email addresses. Stuart Glenister, stuart Hart, Belvoir carpet and flooring, sisal flooring, home choice carpets to name a few. Do not be fooled by this man! We are now in the process of reporting him to the police, trading standards and pursing through the small claims court.

He did agree to complete it and within 24hrs this was done to a reasonable standard by a fitter other than Stuart. Stuart then proceeded to harass me daily asking me to remove this review this was by text or calling , sometimes three times a day When I failed to do this he threatened to take me to court for slander . When I still refused he said he would go to my mothers house and start harassing her. This again is a demonstration of how this man conducts himself . If he thinks he can bully you , he will until someone bigger than him will put a stop to it Please take note .

Ordered some bespoke floor boards and flooring. Had It delivered and it was all wrong. I phoned…read morethem to see if they had delivered the wrong order, but a, and I'm being very polite in saying this, grumpy, miserable bloke answered the phone who after checking my details said it was my fault, even though I had emailed the order through to them, and what I got was nothing like. He went to check something and as he put the phone down didn't realise he had not pressed the hold button. His language was vile and blaming me to someone else about the order. Somebody in the background told him to calm down, and it sounded like this chap was called Bret. When he came back on the phone I told him what I thought of him and next time to pres the hold button. I was met with more of the same vile language. To cut to the chase, I eventually got my money back when I threatened him with court action. This did take a number of weeks though. Message to Bret, if that was what I heard. Improve your own personal communications with customers. Do not verbally abuse customers. Learn where the Hold button is on your phone. Ideally though have somebody else deal with customers and check your orders before they go out, as you will get bad reviews. I've noticed they have bad reviews on Google.

We called the inspector in and he has found that no damp proofing has been done, undersized timbers in the floor and ceilings, no insulation to the floors, no insulation to the walls, no smoke alarms, no extractor fan in the bathroom and the drains are not to, spec. Also the standard of the finish is poor. The whole of the interior is going to have to be ripped out and steel beams fitted to support the ceilings, they also tried to withhold the part P docs and tried to blackmail us for the energy certificate. The staff were knowledgeable and approachable and gave us advice on how to minimise spending (by taking up the old carpet and disposing it ourselves, save the carpet grips, etc). They also advised us to sign up to their newsletter emails to get a further 10% off. They also offer a free delivery and fitting services if you buy some fancy underlay too. Arranging a fitting was stress-free and we were contacted by phone regarding an update on time on the day. They were professional and quick and left no mess to clean up. We had freshly painted skirting boards and no scratches were left whatsoever. Overall, a great value and professional service that leaves a beautifully fitted carpet!
