I went there for tinting my coupe. I had a groupon deal which covers 5 windows (70% light which is like almost having no tints, I don't recommend it). Anything darker, you have to pay $10 extra per window. Not a bad deal. So I paid the extra. Well worth it. These guys were very professional and cool. Treated me with respect. Very accommodating to appointments. I had mine tints done under 2 hrs. Unfortunately I have to come back 2 weeks later since the front passenger window started peeling off. They told me I can come in anytime to fix it since it is under warranty. I went to the Utica ave Proline, but the technician was out, so they sent me to the Atlantic Ave Proline. They re-tinted both my front windows right away. No questions asked. Very Impressed. Good customer service. Will come back again. read more

It took a while and cost some money, but it looks and sounds good. The bluetooth mic did not work when I got home. I couldn't test it in their lot because the unit had a password so I had to wait to get home to find out it didn't work. Their website says if something goes wrong, they'll take care of it. They did, pretty fast when I went back. Bluetooth and mic works 100%. It would be a disaster if there was no hands free calls, because I regularly use my phone in the car for business. When the mic didn't work, I was thinking back to my first aftermarket install way back when. It never worked. I went back to the place again and again, it never got fixed and then the place went out of business. I don't think you'll have that problem here. I had to go to a lot of places. I called the store to confirm if they carried a product, they told me yes. I drive all the way over there for them to tell me no they didn't have it and they didn't know who I spoke to. The guy had the nerve to get an attitude when I told him I spoke to someone. All that says is they have no respect for the customers time. 2 ... I purchased a product from them and the NEXT DAY the product deemed to be defective. Instead of just giving me one that works, they decided to tell me that they have to ship it back to the manufacturer to have it replaced and no, there are no cash refunds. Proline really helped me out. - My car was broken into twice in the last month. Finally, I gave in and realized that I needed an alarm. My friend who is into cars recommended me to Proline. I went there and Stu gave me the run down on all the choices and told me about remote starts as well. I always thought that they mess up your starter and void the warranty, but he told me that wasn't true and all their work was warrantied. I got a alarm with a pager and remote start. It also has this thing that if people are standing next to the car too long, the alarm will warn them. Its pretty cool, he also threw in the tints for me. At first, everything was going great and the manager was real friendly (arent all that want to make a sale) and then told me and my friend it'll take 3-4 hours installing the viper car alarm system. Took almost 5 hours. So i guess it was a very respectable place but it takes long just for an alarm to be installed. Would I come here again, yes, but make sure its on a day that you are completely free from any errands. Also, good location and lots of stores. read more

Just had a new deck installed in my Crosstrek, and Proline were nothing but top notch from start to finish. Guy at the front desk was super helpful and friendly (and a big football fan), and Justin in the garage banged out the installation quickly, cleanly, and professionally. He even took the time to give me a run through of my new deck's features after he finished. Never again, The first time they installed my remote start there was an issue, I came back it was rectified (momentarily) . I had another issue when I got a new battery put in and I had to see them again, it was fixed (so I thought). I just got back from my mechanic because my burner blew out on my headlights, it stemmed from a botched job from my remote start installation. Never again will I use pro line. Their service sucks, the customer service is even worse and everyone always has an attitude. I spent almost 1k fixing their god damned mistake. Dont ever use proline or their products! They do not live up to what they advertise on the Internet. It was said that with every double din radio purchase and install you receive a free backup camera and that I will not lose the control of my radio from the steering wheel. Very shitty job on the radio of my 2004 Acura TL. I called twice to make sure it was something they could handle as I was told the installation would be a tough one. They told me they could build a custom kit and that I wouldn't even be able to tell the new radio wasn't the factory unit. They charged me $500+ for a "custom installation" in which they claimed they had to build a fiberglass kit. Needless to say the fiberglass kit proved non-existent, was made of plastic and is something I could have made myself with a few hand tools. There were gaps around the radio which I asked about and was told that was the best they could do and just this recently I touched the plastic kit they built and it came apart. When I checked it was poorly attached to my radio by molten plastic which resulted in minor damage to the plastic on the radio itself. I will, at this point, try to mend the aesthetics myself as I am embarrassed to show this to my friends. Friend of mine said he will also see what he can do as this is one of the worst bits of craftsmanship he's ever seen; he does this as a side job. Wish I could post pics. read more

Clearly one of those shops that say anything to sell you a product and then treat you like a stepchild afterwards. I came in about two weeks ago to get an air horn installed on my car. Then take your car into what I can only call a bat cave and then retrieve you when the work is "finished". Two weeks later my air horn stops working so I bring the car back in. They then tell me that the ground wire wasn't secure which is why the horn stopped working. I was then informed that I would be charged $40 for the "guys time". I would assume that the installation specialist would make sure that the wire is mounted to a secure ground when he originally does the work but maybe I'm nuts. After the issue, that apparently I caused, was addressed and fixed the horn still had not worked. I think it would be only right to assume that they made a wrong diagnosis. But would this salesman back down? NO! He then tells me "well we fixed what we thought might have been the issue but we'll just wire it to the battery". To me, a sane and logical thinking human, that means you were wrong and I shouldn't be charged for your faulty labor. Honestly do not get work done here. It will be the worst mistake you can make. Nothing is ever their fault. I've past this place many times while driving and thought they'd be reputable. Boy was I WRONG! NEVER COME HERE!!!! read more

Went to Proline to get my windows tinted, purchased the $79 - 5 Window Groupon, thought I did my diligence by calling before I paid for it and asking questions. But the Groupon only included up to 70%, which is NY legal max on a sedan so I can't really be too upset, although; it was not stated in the fine print on the Groupon. I made an an appointment spoke to Anthony. Went to the shop on New Year's Eve, it took for 4 hours + for my windows to get done and they looked and dried looking terrible. (While I was waiting almost everyone there was upset and complaining about their cars alarms :/) nonetheless, Anthony gave me a discount for the wait, which supposedly took so long because an employee was "getting the bubbles out". Called Friday morning told Anthony they looked bad, he said come in Monday morning, I went, although he didn't remember my name throughout all interactions, he didn't ask questions know the work was subpar and poor quality and redid them and did a good job, still a few tiny bubbles in the corners of front Windows but I'm satisfied overall (way less than the original ones, which I was informed was "from the wood dust because they make custom Stereos"). It took more time than money and Anthony understand that responded with a discount, not only owned up to the shoddy work but corrected it, so I'm pleased. While my windows now look good, I am going to remember that I had to get them done twice but it was around the holidays, the Shop was packed and I truly feel they value customers time, and deliver the best customer service they can and just glad I happened to be staying in NY long enough time for them to do two times. read more

Shef is the best! 2007 Honda Accord was hooked up nicely and done in a timely and efficient manner. The guys there really care about your car like its their own. STAY AWAY!!! Bait and switch shop. Worst kind of people smiling in your face while trying to turn you over. Good for very basic installs. I had windows tinted, wind deflectors and overhead DVD player installed. Tint came out well. Wind deflectors are weather tech in Chanel. The deflectors are an easy install that they could not get right. The two rear windows were hitting the deflector and would not close. They kept trying to say it needed more time to mold. Install instructions from website, set time only 12 hours. After returning to the shop 3 times I just fixed it myself. The biggest problem is with the DVD player. The first one I picked out they installed without checking. The buttons did not work. When they tried to replace it with the same model the boxes were empty. After some discussion I picked a different model. As I waited for them to install they changed the DVD player to a less expensive model. Without talking to me and without my knowledge. I was so happy to be going home after almost 7hours of waiting I didn't even notice the unit was different until I got home to show the kids. The worst part is that I still had to return to the store because all the features on the unit they installed did not work. They did nothing on the price. They never did get all the features to work. They tried to say it was the same model with different name. That is not true. Different make, different features. They couldn't even clean up after the install. Gave me my car back with pieces of wires and dirt and dust all over rear of my car. The prices at this shop are inflated. The item shows one price with a sign that reads ask sale person for better price. Online website shows deals of the month. Do not believe them. Head unit for car in the deals of the month read $129 installed. They wanted another $120 for wires. These items should only cost $20. Please save your money and time. STAY AWAY. read more

Love the customer service , my system is hotttt after looking for a few places to get my Mercedes done at I checked them out . There phone manners were good upon arriving to the store I was greeted and appreciated that the owner and manager took the time to come and look at my car . After a little haggling with price I got a system that I love with a budget I was comfortable with price was a little higher but service made up for it . Jl audio subs sound great and they matched all the internet prices I showed them 8 hours later my truck was done and it was close to closing they spent some time showing me how to use it all . Three years ago Proline installed a Viper alarm and car radio on my 1996 Honda Accord. In three years, I never has an issue with the alarm or the radio. I recently purchase another vehicle and had Proline install another Viper alarm with a couple more accessories. So far the alarm seems to be working perfectly. I called two days before my visit to establish pricing and schedule an appointment. I spoke to Chef on the phone. He was extremely patient, professional and courteous. When I arrived at Proline for my scheduled appointment, I worked with Anthony, who was just as patient, professional and courteous as Chef and honored the pricing discussed on the phone. They did straight up business with me as expected. No hidden extras. Although the installation took 3 hours, my car was ready exactly when they said it would be ready. Anthony took the time to show me how the alarm worked and I was on my way. I am a very satisfied customer, and feel confident that if I have any issue, that Proline will stand by its lifetime warranty on the installation. Horrible!! I was there around 2 pm with Appointment. I left around 7 pm even people sitting next to me were like havent you been here a while already. They were installing a remote starter doesnt take 5 hours especially with appointment. Also, They never clipped back the covers underneath steering wheel. I had to do it myself. I am an African American senior citizen who believes in supporting businesses of color. I went to proline to have my radio fixed. After talking with the sales person I decided to upgrade my car radio. I purchased a new HD stereo and was told the job would take two hours. I decided to wait. Proline took 6 hours before they told me the car was ready as the store was closing. I did a quick check because I had to go home to my children. On my way home I noted that the am radio was not working. The next morning I discovered that only one of the three monitors in my SUV was connected to the DVD. I went back to Proline. I was told that they would fix it right away. I have been here another two hours. I am still waiting, feeling like a hostage in some horror movie. Needless to say, I would not recommend this business to anyone. Buyer beware. read more
