I called it and Tico picked up. He could hear the distress in my voice and in 30 minutes he and his entire team were at my home saving it. They cleared out all the water and the entire downstairs. This job was not an ordinary job, even though leaks are not ordinary... but there's a hoarding situation going on and my dad's home and they had to move so much out. They worked till very late and were beyond professional and empathetic toward my situation. They then left multiple dehumidifiers and air scrubbers for days to help stop the mold growth and dry out my house. Their team does everything from mitigation to reconstruction. We were told it would be a 3-4 day job and we could stay in a hotel while the work was being done - and then come home to the finish product. Work actually took almost 2 months. The paint on our kitchen cabinets is chipping and laminate floor is lifting in several places. Painters primed and painted in the same day, and the flooring was not allowed to acclimate. They refuse to honor the guarantee we were promised in writing. There is ZERO dispute that Alert was notified of the issues during the warranty period!! They claim that we did not have the work complete within a certain timeframe - so the warranty is void. We were given NO notice the work had to be completed by a specific date. When I did confirm the date they gave me, they ended up not coming out because I was I injured and was unable to help the installers remove and replace our furniture outside. Now we are left with trip hazards throughout our home and paint chipping throughout our kitchen cabinets. Current estimates to simply redo the flooring are in excess of $7,000!
