I have been a client at this clinic for several years and have previously been satisfied with the services. However, my recent experience was very disappointing. I came in for Botox and lip filler, and returned for a touch-up after being told it would be included. After driving about 40 minutes, I was informed that I would need to pay because "all the product had already been used." This was never explained to me at the time of treatment. In my experience, touch-ups are normally included as part of standard aftercare, and this situation was not communicated clearly or professionally. I had a fairly positive experience with ProMD Health when I received a service. However, I accidentally double purchased a Groupon without realizing that I was only eligible to use one. Usually, merchants will allow you to use at least the paid value so that you do not lose your money completely. ProMD Health would not allow this, and Groupon would not provide a refund, so I was out of the money that I paid. I don't believe that this was a flexible business practice and will not be returning due to ProMD's inflexibility. read more

ProMD Health in Columbia Maryland recently denied the usage of a gift card purchased in Dec 2019. Though the website https://promdhealth.com/ and gift card language on the website states "Present at any location..." a gift card was not accepted in October 2020. The Columbia office claims to be a "franchise" and not subjected to accepting the gift card despite common branding and contradictory information on their website. This is unacceptable and the manager made limited to no accommodations. Also the physical gift card is labeled as only valid for one year, which is against Maryland State Law that requires the purchase value of the gift card to be valid for at least four years. When pointing this out to the manager, she indicated that was not true. Please inform yourself of this MD State Law if facing a similar issue on gift card limitations. "Under Maryland law, store-specific gift cards may not expire for at least four years after the date of purchase, and the issuer may not impose fees or charges of any kind during that four-year period. Federal legislation stretches expiration protection to five years; however, consumers may be charged fees during this fifth year and any year thereafter." (https://www.marylandattorneygeneral.gov/CPD%20Documents/Tips-Publications/125.pdf). The three stars are reflective of positive direct services, but issues with customer service and compliance with state gift card usage. I would likely go to one of the corporate locations in Baltimore, Arlington or Annapolis to avoid the "franchise" excuse again. read more

I got a syringe, so I didn't expect a huge difference but I see a huge difference and I love it! I can't wait to go back. I had an awesome experience at ProMD Columbia. I had high hopes of finding a dermatologist who would work with me over time to get my skin to where I want it to be but after two very dismissive experiences with almost no consultation and a rush to get it done. Luckily I walked out and never made an appointment. When I reached out for an appointment, Gabby called me soon after and listen so kindly to my woes before scheduling me. I came in excited and knowing pretty much what I wanted to do and my consultant Kathy was so helpful discussing those items but also did exactly what I hoped, gave me suggestions for improvement based on her wealth of knowledge. We talked over all the different procedures and she was patient and helped me make a game plan... she gave such good advice and was so informative and kind. Meg did my injections and, though I had already most likely used up 5 different people's appointment times, she did not rush and did a wonderful job on my Sculptra treatment. As expected, I see no results -- they take place gradually over time -- and I am still so happy. I received Botox on September 23rd. The visit went well. Unfortunately, I never stopped seeing movement. Because I was on travel, I was unable to make my two week follow up. It wasn't until today that I learned I could have sent photos and still received a touch-up. I've had Botox before, and I can go 4-6 months for a touch-up. 6 months is pushing it for me but 4 -5 months, I'm still not in dire need of a follow-up. When I called today to discuss my experience, I was only given excuses. The receptionist was very dismissive towards my complaints. She eventually offered me a discount on my second unit; however, given my experience, I'd rather not risk the loss of income with negative results; instead, try one and see if it works. Rather than offering me a discount with one to see if it even works, She apologized for the way I feel about my experience. Save your money and go to a place with more effective Botox. I will never revisit this place. Thankfully I have another place I can go; I'm just disappointed ProMD Health did not work for me. I have a friend that had the same experience from another location. Lesson learned, I suppose. read more
