Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit the little farmers market at the Vale ranch HQ. It was…read morelovely, although pretty small. Basically a series of booths selling olive oil baskets, some fruits and vegetables and not much else. It was a very nice add to the plaza and I'm happy that I had the opportunity to see it because my intention was just having a coffee shop The Press espresso. This plaza is very charming, with a lot of trees, boutiques, coffee, shop, restaurants, and big Central space to enjoy the farmers market itself or other activities, this is a must visit in Temecula.

I can't speak about the events at this place, but I appreciate the history and work done to…read morepreserve this area. I came here just to try Press Espresso, one of few shops and eateries at this plaza, but didn't realize it was in such a historic place. I initially thought all the shops here were recently build to look like the old west, but in reading about the history on its website, learned that this area has been in existence since 1867. According to the website, it has been the heart of Temecula since then. Originally built by German immigrant, Louis Wolf, it was used as a trading post next to Temecula Creek. After his death in 1905, area was purchased by Arizona cattle baron, Walter Vail, who turned it into a cattle ranch. In 1964, it was sold to developers who turned it into a master-planned community. The area remained vacant for several decades until it was restored fully in 2007. This place now houses several unique shops and eateries, and is also used for events and Farmers Market. This is actually a plaza within a bigger plaza, which has more commercial retailers like Kohl's, Walmart, Marshalls, and several others. Kind of an odd mix, but glad the city decided to keep a portion of its history alive.

I visited Eli's Farms years ago and recently found their new location while visiting a friend. It's…read morea family-owned farm with a big selection of fruits and vegetables. The products are fresh, all natural, and of course, locally grown. The staff was helpful, and I learned they don't use harmful chemical pesticides or fertilizers, which is a huge plus. The farm stand is a nice size, shaded from the sun, with beautiful views of the Fallbrook hills. Peaceful too! I purchased a few jars of fresh honey and a sourdough loaf, the honey on toasted sourdough was a delicious treat. I also picked up some crisp green beans. They had a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, all of which looked fresh and beautifully grown. I'll be back when I need more fruits and vegetables. They now offer a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription too. I'm looking forward to trying one, since I already get a CSA box from a nearby farm. They offer both delivery and pick-up options. If you appreciate fresh produce, definitely make a stop!

We came here to pick up a couple avocado trees. The healthiest avocado trees I have ever seen in 3.5 gallon sleeves. We could get our grocery shopping done while having avocado trees back home. The best of both worlds! It's so well worth a drive. Highly recommended!!!

The aisles are spotless, the customer service is consistently great, and the made-to-order juice bar is a fantastic touch that really sets this place apart. That said, it's definitely on the pricey side, so it's more of a treat when the budget allows. The meat selection , especially the steaks it's expensive, but you can clearly tell the quality and freshness are there. Their beer selection is another big plus, especially if you enjoy IPAs and craft beers. Overall, it's a wonderful market with premium products, and I'll absolutely keep coming back whenever my wallet agrees!

I…read morewalk into Barons Market on Rancho California Rd, and immediately, my olfactory receptors are singing. This isn't just a store; it is a gallery of edible art! From a food science perspective, the curation here is impeccable. I spent a solid ten minutes just admiring the turgidity of the organic Granny Smith apples ($2.99/lb)--crisp, tart, and bursting with malic acid potential. But the real magic? The Hulas coconuts and the bulk bins! There is something deeply primal and satisfying about scooping your own trail mix or pouring shimmering olive oil from a stainless steel fustifermo. The salad and hot bars are a triumph of texture and temperature control. I built a plate that was less a "meal" and more a mosaic of flavors. As I sat there, savoring a bite of their roasted veggies, I thought: This is it. The world is an adventure best tasted in small bites, and Barons provides the perfect map. If you love food that respects its molecular origins and a staff that treats you like a neighbor, you must visit. Very relaxed and casual. It's a maximalist dream of flavor!
