This is a lower level office unit and you can hear people walking above you * Nothing special about the location but it was easy to find, adequate parking, clean, with minimal distractions. *Their office chairs were more comfortable than I expected and allowed you to customize settings to best fit your body. However, if you are a larger-bodied person, they may be a little tight. I suggest calling ahead to see if they have an option that would suit you better. * On top of being friendly, the staff was super diligent about cleaning - I constantly saw them disinfecting surfaces. I've taken multiple exams at several testing centers. Here's why you should avoid this one: - Paper thin walls. You hear every. single. footstep from the office fronts upstairs. The "white noise machines" don't help. My earplugs didn't either. - One bathroom. If you have timed breaks, cross your fingers you don't spend your precious minutes waiting on someone else! - Seat arrangements can be hit or miss if you're even a little bit distractible. My first day I sat facing the wall-- no issues. Second day I sat facing the door. A proctor comes in and out of that door to do a walk through every 10 minutes, and other test-takers are in and out the door constantly throughout the day. I blame corporate for cutting corners, not the guys up front. Pay for proper insulation. Get the extra bathroom. Don't try to squeeze too many stations into a room just for a bottom line. read more

I was worried about this location prior to taking a 6 hour exam based on the reviews I read. However, I found the experience to be quite good. The location itself is fairly small, with about 8 computer stations in the testing room. While I am not 100 percent positive how much space was allowed to each station, I didn't feel that close to people around me. Everyone wore a mask, and followed covid rules. They do a good job of sanitizing after each person as well. Also the staff was super pleasant and nice to be around. Highly recommend layers for warmer temps. It was cold out and I still found it pretty warm in the room. Otherwise met my expectations. Lockers are 1x 1, so don't bring large items for storage. A coat rack is also provided. read more

I know... I'm reviewing a testing center, but it's practically tradition by now. I've been to Prometrics over 10 times, in 3 different states, and I hate them with a passion. Which is why I must review the place. Getting there: - If you are coming from US 74, as soon as you turn into the parking lot, immediately turn left down a slope. Building D is the one at the end of the short slope. - If you're like me and went straight only to find yourself cluelessly at Building E (and have no idea where D is, but D must be next to E right?), then you'll have to walk behind E, cross a small bridge, enter building D from the third floor, walk down a flight of stairs, exit the building from the second floor, walk around the building, and finally arrive at the first floor like GAWD I'm already out of breath just typing this up. Yeah, so, make a quick left and park in front of building D. Things A Veteran Test Taker Can Share With You: - They provide the in-ear, foam buds (or you can bring your own, they'll allow it). You just have to ask for theirs, they won't offer it. You can pick orange or purple or grab one orange and one purple (you rebel, you). I used those and wore the over the head ones as well. The room was practically silent. It was perf. - Don't bring a big ass purse like this smart girl here. If it doesn't fit in the locker (which is about 1 feet by 1 feet, and 1 feet deep), you'll have to leave it in your car or in their closet, which is unlocked and clearly marked with the 'we are not responsible blah blah blah' signage. - The place isn't super air conditioned so if you're taking an exam in the summer, try to go light on the layers. - You should be allowed to snack during breaks (at least my exam did), so if you know you get hungry during a 4 hour exam like mine, then don't forget to bring a little pick-me-up. I give the staff 5/5. They were nice and polite. They worked quickly to get you checked in and get past the administrative stuff so that you can take your exam as soon as possible, which I always appreciate. Yep, that's all I got. I am very, very disappointed in this test center. I had paid over $350 and traveled over 2 hours to take a certification test here. I had taken tests with Prometric before at a different site without difficulties. However, the supervisor here decided to go on a crusade and make an example out of me. My Driver's license was valid, in state, includes my name, photo and birthdate. These are all clear and easy to see. Yet, the expiration date has faded with time. My ID is only 3 years old so I didn't think I needed to renew it yet. Nevertheless, even though the expiration date has faded, it is still readable. I can read it, fellow coworkers were able to read it, one even recited it right out to me. I even had additional ID! My employee ID card with my photo as well as a scanned copy of my driver's license from a year ago, where the numbers are even more clearly readable. I also had my computer, where I could access utility bills, bank statements, etc - proving that I am who I say I am. Yet, even with all of this proof, this guy, this supervisor, discerned that because he could not read my driver's license expiration date, that I was ineligible to take the test! This was an unjustified abuse of power. It cost me a full day of work, 4 hours of driving to and from the test center and cost my employer over $600 for me to go there and not be able to take the test. I called PMI and Prometric for over an hour attempting to come up with a solution, but to no avail. A professional would have come up with a workable solution that could have worked for both parties, this guy was unmoving. People like this should not have that kind of power. I am hurt, frustrated and disappointed. Before this days event, I was psyched to get certified, however, after today I'm so frustrated that I'd prefer not to give any business to Prometric. Regardless, I've had better success at the Johnson City site. If you must take a test through Prometric, you may want to try there. read more
