The door to get into the testing center

Went here to take my MCAT. Very small waiting room. It was packed and the lockers were so tiny. Don't bring a backpack, just bring something small that can fit your snacks. You just need your ID. They provide you with pencils, papers and earmuff. You can bring your own earplugs, but not the kind with strings. Practice practice taking tests before actually taking the real thing. I did a lot of practice and I paced myself well and I managed by rest times well. This place felt like I was in jail. Very suffocating. No windows. just walls.

Both my children have attended for the past 5-6 years, and every single year has reinforced why we chose this school in the first place. From the moment you walk in, you can feel that this is a place built around genuine care for children -- not just a place that watches them, but one that truly loves and nurtures them. The teachers are, without exaggeration, incredible. They are patient, warm, endlessly encouraging, and clearly love what they do. Our kids have always come home excited to talk about their day, which says a lot about how engaged and happy they feel in the classroom. Every teacher we've encountered over the years has treated our children as individuals, celebrating their personalities and helping them grow at their own pace. Academically and developmentally, the program is exceptionally well-rounded. The kids are exposed to a wonderful mix of cultural activities, practical life skills, and physical education, all woven into a curriculum that keeps them engaged and constantly learning. They even take French lessons, which has been such a lovely bonus and has sparked genuine curiosity in our kids about language and other cultures. The school also puts on the most adorable productions -- dance recitals, music performances -- and you can tell real time and heart goes into preparing the kids for these events. It's clear the staff wants every child to feel proud and included, regardless of skill level. It has been fun to see my children during the first one to the last one and see how they come out of their shell more too. Physical activity and outdoor time are also a big priority. The kids get to play outside frequently, including daily time outside to the nearby park, which gives them plenty of fresh air, movement, and unstructured play time -- something we really value. One thing that stands out most to us also is how seriously the school takes safety and security. Every policy and procedure feels thoughtfully designed with the children's well-being in mind, from secure drop-off and pick-up protocols to how the classrooms and outdoor spaces are supervised. As a parent, it's reassuring to know that safety isn't an afterthought here -- it's built into everything they do. This has been especially meaningful for us because our son has a food allergy. The school has been outstanding in how they manage it -- from clear communication with staff, to careful attention during snack and lunch times, to making sure substitute teachers and staff are all aware and prepared. We've never once felt anxious dropping him off, which is not something we can say about every environment he's been in. On top of all of this, communication from Mrs. Elena has been excellent throughout our entire experience. Whether it's daily updates, event reminders, or larger updates about policies or schedules, we've always felt informed and included as parents. Overall, this school has played such a meaningful role in our children's early years. I felt compelled to write this review, which I don't do often, given how awesome this school and teachers are! We are endlessly grateful for the teachers and Mrs. Elena (and Ken) for an incredible school they've built, and we would recommend this school without hesitation to any family looking for a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment for their children. My son graduates to Kindergarten at the end of August and I very sad to leave as we have grown so close!

I've never seen him adapt so quickly to a childcare center - or be so proud of his budding skills (putting shoes on, packing his book bag). We especially love the great use of the local park for their outdoor time. All the teachers are professionals and form great bonds with their students.

What? I get to be the first to review? Excellent!…read more Let me tell you how excited my son was to be signed up for tutoring. Answer: Not at all. And honestly, I thought it would be an argument every week going there, but no, he liked it right off the bat, to my surprise and his. The actual physical space is clean, bright and comfortable. The staff is patient - very, very patient and knowledgeable as well. They have the kids working pretty hard but they give them reasonable breaks so they can concentrate for the time they are working. The have 1 tutor working with 3 to 4 kids at a similar level so they get enough time and attention but it's not a one on one focus, which can feel like "pressure" in some ways. Some days, depending on what time we were there, it was 1 tutor with 2 children. Most often, it was 1 to 3. Tutoring is expensive so we all want measurable results and so for us, having the extensive assessment testing before and all along the way as we went along, was really helpful. Monthly progress meetings with the parents showing measurable results lets you know where your child is improving and how fast (or slow in some areas). It's just reassuring the have that measurement. They are also very, very willing to coordinate and communicate with your child's teacher or school, but I found the schools very resistant to that and I was a bit mystified. Seems like its a partnership made in heaven, but our school system was not very cooperative on that front. We had a positive experience and saw some significant improvements during the school year.

We worked on everything from researching career paths, to honing my essay writing skills, and even just checking in on how I was feeling emotionally through the admissions process. Cathy gave me a truly well-rounded experience. She not only helped me get into a top 20 school, but more importantly, she encouraged me to explore what I wanted to do with my life after college and improved my writing skills drastically. Cathy is blunt, thoughtful, and very knowledgeable about college admissions. For all of those reasons, I would recommend her to anyone needing a college coach.

I first contacted Cathy Ganley in May. I have a special situation--a 17-year-old daughter with cancer so wanted some advice on how to approach college applications. Cathy had been recommended by a colleague of my husband's. I filled out the contact form on her website and she did not respond. I thought there was probably a mistake and since I had her phone number as well reached out to her via text. When we finally connected she told me that my emails had gone to spam, which seemed odd since I have a gmail account. Then she told me she had replied but her emails went to my spam. (They were not there.) We had a brief phone conversation when she told me we could do a one-hour overview of the college admissions process. I texted her on June 5 saying we would like to set a date for the one-hour session. She responded on June 10 asking me if she'd responded already and that she was out of town until July 10. I followed up on July 26 asking if we could set something up. She never responded. On Aug. 26 I followed up and she told me all my texts were going to spam. (There is no text spam so far as I know.) But she said she'd added me to her contacts and apologized. When I text her a week later to set up a time, she had no idea who I was. Then told me the best way to contact her was email. The email address she gave me bounced back, saying it did not exist. She then texted me that she thought "our working relationship will not go smoothly." It's been kind of an incredible--and incredibly tone deaf and incompetent experience--while we've been dealing with a teenager with cancer.
