    Another great gel manicure.

I have been going here for 10 years. Love the staff. Always willing to help me get just the right look. Tracy is the best.

Had a very, very stressful demanding week. Just got promoted to manager at my job and had been neglecting my nails. It was busy which it is always is because they do great work. They offered a pedicure and I decided to take it and I haven't been so relaxed in a long time. I really needed to decompress and they provided excellent and professional customer service and my nails look great. I only go here and will always go here as long as I live in this area.

This is the actual work of the salon

I went to get my nails done the 2nd time. The owner Diew is who serviced me. I'm disgusted by her pushiness and disregard for my request to even out my nails. I left with different shapes for each nail and different lengths. ***The pictures of the crystals on the nails portrayed in the website are stolen images. The actual work looks nothing like the internet pictures. And this salon is very unhygienic. Nail Brushes are not sanitized. And She did not even clean the table after her last client left. So disgusted. The picture below is her work. NEVER go there.

    thank you tracy!!

I've been trying out different nail places in Gainesville and I've been here a couple of times now, and I've had a great experience every time. Tracy did my nails this time, and she did a fantastic job. Last time I went to another place for the same colored French tip style and the tips were not even, and the lines were not sharp. Tracy listened to what I didn't like about my last nail and gave me exactly what I wanted. I've also had Cody do my nails a few times, and he's done a great job as well. I love how convenient this place is, as you can walk in any time. I'm not sure what other reviewers are talking about as I've had great customer service when I come here. Making this my go-to nail place.

I went to this place because many reviews talked about Tracy and how good she is; well I definitely didn't get that experience. I was 5 mins early for my appt time and I was only getting dip powder on my nails which only takes an hour, well 2 hours later still in the salon. She was not personable at all or engaging with me at all. Apparently they are "old school" and don't do foil wraps she instead put both of my hands in a bowl with acetone to help remove my dip I originally had on. Literally I was sitting for an hour just for that; NEVER, literally NEVER had to sit that long for that; she claims the powder was too thick but the person who put it on I've been to her more than once and it's not taking an hour to remove the powder. Also the way the salon is set up how she left me to soak off my nails, my back is facing the front so if something were to happen or take place in the salon I have to literally turn around and get out my seat to see. Tracy stayed away the entire time my nails were soaked, answering phones, doing nails, toes or whatever with other customers and so I thought that was rude. There was a girl who came in before me, got her nails done and paid for them and was gone before I was in worked on. Then when she decided to work on my nails, it was like she was busy handing other stuff too, answering her iPhone watch for people who called, getting up assisting people, it was really frustrating to me. Also, I mentioned how I wanted my nails and she made them super sharp which is not at all what I had in mind(or wanted) but because she was was rushing and doing numerous tasks and I didn't have anymore patience after 2 hours, I didn't even let her know. It literally felt like I was in sweatshop. Whatever happened to building a rapport with new people so you can have a relationship with them, I guess it's out the window. Needless to say perhaps she is different with her go to people but it wasn't a great experience. I will not be back; already booked an appointment with someone else to see he will be my new nail person. You would think it would not be so hard because my nails are really basic but I obviously can't seem to find the right person for the job here in Gainesville. Try this place if your willing to take a chance and risk!

It was honestly the worst pedicure i have ever gotten. I couldve done a better job than this. I was waiting for my feet to dry and the lady said "time to pay" and had me go pay instead of waiting to dry. Nail polish was all over my cuticles and BUNCHING as if simeone tried to stretch the polish. My nails were not filed and polish covered 2/3 of the nail on some of them. I think the picture says it all.. needless to say i got home and erased it all after taking these pictures

My experience started out great. My pedicure was absolutely fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The pedicurist offered me water and took excellent care of my feet. I asked for rose gold polish for my toes and she created it for me. The foot, ankle and calf scrub and massages were incredible. My pedicure was a five star experience. I asked the nail tech for mood changing shimmering pink polish for my nails using the dipping method with a point shaped nails. It was a mess. I thought I was getting almond shaped nail but what I received was too drastic and not a gradual point. The nail tech and Ms. Tracy, I believe that's what I heard someone called her, were speaking in their native language 90 miles-a-minute excessively all over me and powdery substance was all over the area and floating in the air. The other customers next to me were looking over at situation with puzzled looks on their faces. One of the patrons next to me eyes stretched and she said she was going to try the dipping method but not anymore. I had a gut feeling that the nail tech and Ms. Tracy were discussing this botched job back and forth the whole time. I really felt like I was in for a huge disappointment, and I was right. There were lumps, clumps and bumps all over my nails and I was getting more and more anxious and aggravated at this point where the excessive native language speaking stopped. The pedicurist looked over at me and I asked her is it supposed to look like this, and she said it's part of the process and my nails will end up looking beautiful. Well, my fingernails look like an amateur did them and it cost me $45 and an enormous waste of time. The dipping substance is on my cuticles looking like glue. They set me up for failure, talked about it amongst themselves, and didn't care so it was zero-star treatment for this part of the experience at this nail spa. I will have to ignore this nail job all weekend and during my functions to keep everyone from noticing the botchery. My friend said from a distance at around six feet you can't tell, but any closer the cat's out of the bag. Totally unacceptable.

I got gel coffin nails with design by Tracy. I love coming to Pro Nails, they really are the pros of Gainesville. They are very sweet and welcoming. Make sure to book your next appointment you will not be disappointed

Sooo much love to the entire staff here. Every time I go I'm offered coffee or water the girls are always so kind. The quality of their work is amazing, my nails aren't just beautiful they last me so I really get my money's worth! Easily the best nail salon in Gainesville.

I was extremely disappointed and upset at my experience. The first experience was not great but I wanted to give them another try and this time I made an appointment asked for a manicure and dip powder with the manager. I waited 45 minutes past my appointment and was seen to by another tech who did not know the dip process and when I tried to let them know it needs a base dip before color another technician stepped in and said it's different for every brand. (I went somewhere else to have them redo it and were shocked since it's not true and this could have dyed my nails). The shape of most nails were crooked and I have to tell the tech twice he was filing the tips of my fingers not the nail. My nails came out worse than when I went in. I would have asked to speak to someone or fix but after 2 hours, being shut down after asking for a base dip and a refile it was such an unpleasant experience I had no time left to have them fix it nor any desire to stay. If I were to have walked in like the first time during a busy rush I would have tried to let it go except this is not the case. But I specified what I wanted before and during my appointment and the fact that was completely disregarded and the fact it is the worse manicure I have ever had is why I am posting. I have never posted a review for nails and I hate to post only negative but this was the second negative experience here and would not recommend. Also, in the picture it is hard to see but some of the polish was dried to the top of my fingers and underneath the nail and my finger so it looked and felt glued shut. There was no manicure either and the polish looked bumpy in some places. My cuticles and fingers were so dry I had no oil or lotion put on. They need to review or relearn how to do dip powder.

She cut my nails so short I look like a 12 year old.
    Tricia C.

Update: chipped and flaking after one day. That's what you get when you constantly add remover to goopy old polish trying to thin them out.

    Tiffany S.

Woman who did my nails was on her phone the entire time taking phone calls and texting, no regard for my time. Nail shape was not that great even though it seemed like my nails were filed for about an hour and a half. An older woman did my pedicure and she was wonderful, until she tok was distracted by the woman who would not stop talking. Honestly disappointing. I would pass on this one!

Pure Aesthetics is the best hidden gem of Gainesville. I spent the last decade moving around and…read moretraveling throughout the nation and have had aesthetic treatments at so many med spas and salons that I have lost count. Pure Aesthetics is hands down one of the highest quality experiences you will ever receive. From the moment you walk in the door, there are multiple receptionists who began greeting me by name on only my second visit. The atmosphere immediately calms you when you walk into the lobby, you will feel like you are about to have a massage! They always offer water, champagne, or a collagen drink (even if you are running late to your appointment, like I have unfortunately done more than once!) I can only speak to the services of Kelsey (electrolysis) and Lindsey (Coolsculpting Elite) from personal experience, but I am fully confident in saying that my experience every single appointment over the past few months is indicative of the entire staff. I cannot exclaim my praise for either of these women loudly enough. No matter what area of the body you would like to learn more about treatment for, everyone at Pure Aesthetics has an in-depth knowledge of the services offered and will never pressure you into booking a treatment or purchasing a product whatsoever. I was especially impressed to learn that all staff members that offer treatments must work the front desk for a period of time to learn how the office (and schedule) operates and to interact with the clients. I think this is the greatest idea from a Human Resources perspective (which I happen to have my Bachelor's degree in ) and ensures that any information given over the phone is well-informed, and not simply a reiteration of the menu of services offered which you can read for yourself online. If you are seeking a treatment of an area but are not quite sure if you'd like to go the surgical route, the building is shared with Gaines Plastic Surgery. I cannot personally attest to Dr. Gaines, as I have not had any surgeries at this location, but this is truly an incredible partnership that allows clients to pursue all their aesthetic or cosmetic procedures in one place, with staff they are already comfortable with greeting them and offering a plethora of experience, knowledge, and services along the way. Lastly, I feel it would be remiss not to mention the personal touch and genuine care that the staff has for each and every client. A few months ago, I had a personal emergency which left me without my cell phone, and I ended up "no-call, no-show-ing" two appointments in a row. Instead of blocking me from scheduling further appointments, both Kelsey and Lindsey showed immediate, unwavering care and concern and welcomed me back to my appointments as soon as I was able to make contact again. Of course, I hope such an incident never happens to anyone else, but many Med Spas that I know of would enforce a strict cancellation policy with no questions asked, but not here. When I come here, I know that I'm not only trusting my body with experts and professionals at their specialties, but trusting my overall wellbeing to a team that genuinely wants to see everyone look, feel, and achieve their best. I recommend anyone who is even considering a treatment at Pure Aesthetics to visit the website and at a minimum, get on the email list, as there is a new special each month, and the treatment you're eyeing might be next on the list for a discount! Special or not, my experiences here have been worth every penny!

But honestly, it's something I feel like people should try at least once. Yeah it hurts, but the result is so nice afterward plus you don't have to do any maintenance down there if you plan on going swimming or to the beach. I've gotten Brazilians at this location and one in Jacksonville and like the efficiency of Brazil's Waxing Center. At this location, Karen was the technician who did mine. She was super funny and personable and was great at distracting me. For pain tolerance reference, I've gotten my underarms waxed for several years and only recently started getting Brazilians. They hurt the most for the first 3 waxes, but as the hair gets thinner they hurt less and less. Honestly, the first time was the most painful and then after it was totally doable! A few tips for first time waxers: do NOT go work out right after your Brazilian or go swimming/do anything that could clog your pores for AT LEAST 24-48 hours after. If you ignore this recommendation from the technician, I almost guarantee you will get ingrown hairs. No one wants that. I actually really like the exfoliate and ingrown hair serum that they sell there, but I don't think the soap is worth the money. Bottom line: just try it!!

Our first few visits were fantastic--the injector we met (I can't remember her name) was warm, professional, and really made us feel at ease. The spa is beautiful, neat/clean and the front staff are usually kind and professional. We loved the service and results and decided to make Glow Bar our go-to spot for injectables. Unfortunately, over time things changed when we started getting booked with the owner, and the overall experience and vibe became noticeably different. Not sure if she's just not a people person, or if it's some sort of complex, but her overall bedside manner is non existent. Every appointment got more awkward, and rushed. Whenever we asked questions, instead of feeling listened to or educated it felt like we were being talked at and dismissed. As clients, we don't expect someone to always agree with us or tell us what we want to hear. We DO value professional guidance and education, but there's a difference between providing expertise and making clients feel unheard or uncomfortable for asking questions. We also noticed a pattern where she kept pushing different products than what we originally came for. And I get it, part of the job is informing clients about options, but the way she did it felt forceful/hostile rather than informative. After repeated experiences like this, it genuinely started to feel as though we were not the type of clients she valued or wanted to work with. If that's the case, I think it would be better to be upfront about the type of clientele they prefer rather to making people feel unwelcome over time while still taking their hard earned money. The last straw for us was just a few months ago. After years of booking here, we had a real emergency and had to call and cancel last minute. And instead of a standard courtesy message or an email (like most established businesses do), she sent a personal angry text to my phone. It came across more like a threat than a professional policy reminder. It's really disappointing, we stayed for years, hoping things would improve, because we had such a positive experience in the beginning but we realized that every appointment left us feeling anxious and uncomfortable than confident. And that says a lot. I'm sharing this for future clients: results matter, but so does feeling respected and safe in the process.
