I have been using Pronto Print since moving to Ashland 8 years ago, always with goods results. Just this last week, though, I brought in some old photos significantly stained and splotched, just expecting to get them copied, splotches notwithstanding. Troy Krasznavolgyi waited on me, and spent just a few days working on them--and miraculously, produced prints splotch-free and as perfect as could be possible: pleasantly and so thriftily. I preface this with the fact that the last review I wrote was about a year ago.. I don't do this lightly or often. I have been printing a few projects here in the last couple of weeks. Most of them turned out fine. However I had a few experiences where the folks helping me were very short, rude, and vague in their communication. I still decided to come back anyways because my prints were looking good and the location is close to my home. A few days ago I brought in a coupon design for print and specifically asked them to fit as many as possible onto a sheet. They told me 4 was the maximum amount of coupons they could fit on the sheet. They then quoted me at $1 per page if I were to print 50 sheets, $0.75 for 100 sheets etc. When I told them I wanted to print only 10 sheets at first, they did NOT do me the decency of informing me that the price per sheet was then quadrupled to $4 per sheet. When we came in to pick up the coupons, they looked great, however they clearly could have fit twice (or more) as many coupons onto one sheet and still have made a legible finished product. We were shocked when we heard the price. My partner was pretty upset and asked them to redo the job because they clearly could have made the coupons smaller and more economical. They agreed to create smaller coupons for us, however did not let us keep the coupons they had already printed, and just threw them away! In my opinion, any decent business who cared about customer retention would have let us keep the coupons instead of just tossing them in the trash! Super disappointed. I hear they are under new ownership. I was hoping something would've changed. I've tried three times now to have them bind some papers for me. Each time I've waited in line for 10-15 minutes to be told that they are understaffed and too busy to do it at the moment, to come back tomorrow. I stopped coming before for some of the reasons others have mentioned on these reviews but wanted to give it a shot again. I really want to support a local shop. We were getting down to the wire to order my daughter's Graduation Announcements and I called Printfast to see if they could help. WOW, did they ever! Adrienne-graphic design artist worked with my daughter to help design a simple but elegant announcement. Adrienne was the most patient person as we deliberated over the phone about font sizes, and pertinent information to add and then later delete. I found her to be professional and personal. She really has an eye for graphics. The crew at Printfast had the announcements printed and ready to pick up within a week of my initial phone call.
