After having watched my son…read more(age 7 now) spend over a year in pointless 30 minutes Burnaby recreational swimming lessons (with 8 kids per group and overworked, time pressured instructors), failing levels over and over again, I decided to give this club a try. In just the past 4 lessons with Dynamo Swim Club he has improved exponentially. He now has a confidence and enthusiasm for swimming which was sadly lacking, due to his previous experiences. I sincerely recommend this club to every parent that has been though the same scenario as myself. Lidia and her team of instructors are kind, knowledgable and encouraging. The class sizes are small and the lesson time of one hour makes a big difference. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

Very poor service from a company that was " Voted number 1"…read more My children were " kicked out" of the program when I had voiced my concerns to the " head coach" over the instructor's safety and covid protocols/ cleanliness during their "open house". When I didn't comply with their suggestion of putting my children in private lessons, I was told that this was not " a right fit" and my children were withdrawn out of their lessons immediately. I was told a refund would be sent out for the remaining lessons and it's been more than 6 months, no refund and no further response to my concerns. I have launched a complaint against this business through the Civil Resolution Tribunal and I encourage this route if you are not satisfied. The tribunal will find the business details as they are very shady when it comes to providing contact details.

The most unethical company I have ever dealt with. They don't allow cancelations or make up…read moreclasses. They take your money and will only credit 20% with a doctor's note. You lose the full amount if you cancel but when they cancel on you they don't refund only credit forcing you you to continue because you don't want to walk away from hundreds of dollars. The programs are so expensive and a lot of people can not continue season after season but when they have your money on credit, it forces your hands to sign up again and again. My kids have been going here for 2 yrs but have not improved much and we weren't able to find that out because they don't allow parents in the pools! They should be refunding people when they cancel and it's not in our controls! Should also add that our kids were taking semi-private lessons so we were charged more money than kids in group lessons. Then this season all of a sudden there were 3 other kids in our kids class and they neglected to tell us about it. Upon calling them out on it, they then admitted that they overcharged us and again credited us the difference. And they don't credit the referral money until you call them out on it. Watch your accounts and call them out on all their scams! I'm so shocked how long this company has been operating under these awful conditions. Their customers is awful and they are the greediest and unethical people I have ever dealt with! If you've never enrolled with them, please don't start. The never ending billing and crediting will have you trapped!

We stated on our form for the next registration, that our goal was to have him comfortable in deep water and to be able to swim laps. I realized too late, because they automatically enrol you into the class and I didn't think about it...but two weeks in, our son said things were way too easy. He had progressed too much over the summer break. It is impossible to do anything really valuable in a hotel pool with a deep end of 4 feet. It would've been so helpful if the instructor had talked to us about our goals indicated on our form, and whether our son was the right match for the program. He had clearly outgrown it at the age of 11. I spoke with the office immediately, and they said we missed the very short cancellation period so too bad! And gladly kept our $650 class fee. If you have a child, that is VERY beginner, the program is fine, but if you have to deal with the office, you'll regret you sent them. If you have an older child who needs deep water, safety, how to know how to dive into a pool, how to swim laps more than 8 m, this is not a program for you.

My dog is just turning 12 and has slowed down quite a bit and the last 6 months. Swimming is giving her back her bounce in a safe, stress-free way.
