Fowlers Home Improvement - Veneer wrap, about to install shingles

We have a 100 year old Four Square. So trusting anyone to work on our house is beyond stressful. I…read morefeel like we hit the jackpot and really don't want to share! Johnathan and his Team's charm and professionalism was just beyond. They were there before we woke up and stayed several times after 5pm. We needed our basement refinished after some water damage and demo a French Drian was installed. They installed new stairs, framing, electrical and dry wall. Not to mention jacking up our house to replace the main joist! We're amazed at how he was able to maximize the space for the area we wanted. We were able to comfortably work out little changes along the way. Johnathan said to me at one point " I want it to look like it would in my own home!" I really could go on and on. Just know this is not AI this is a real honest review!! We absolutely will be contacting Fowlers Home Improvement for all our projects in the future and so should you!

After multiple discoveries racking up in cost, we finally decided to email them. They were prompt with a response and a refund. We only asked for a refund for the work we found problems with, which was roughly 1/3 of the cost we paid for all of the work that they did.

It was a pleasure working with All Squared Up. While they're a newly formed company, the…read morepartnership has decades of experience and plenty of references upon request. I'm delighted to be the first one to offer a review on this site. Our needs were simple. We wanted to have a maintenance free composite deck to replace our outdated wooden deck. Practically all the deck builders that we got quotes from were over $25K - $35K. These were WAY outside our budget. All Squared Up explained it like this. So many businesses after Covid, were charging more due to supply. Sadly for consumers many businesses never reduced their prices when supply disruptions were no longer an issue. There is also so much competition with composite material, prices are not high. Before you select a deck builder, based on the number of reviews on Yelp/Google, request a quote from All Squared Up. We highly recommend! Honest communication, commitment, with an equal dose of skilled perfection and honest pricing is what you can be assured to receive. p.s. After completing the deck, they re-did our side porch, making it composite too and reducing the step size. allowing the steps to be more shallow.

In this field the more you do in a day or week or a month the bigger the profit, so knock them out as fast as you can gain the profit and worry about cut corners when they arise. Instead of do it right the first time and make sure the homeowner is 100 percent happy the first go around and hope if at all call backs are minimal. Most big companies already have the name so now it's the money that keeps them going and the workers still receive the same pay no matter how poor their quality of work and the owners have enough revenue and resources to brush off small inconveniences. The small guys like me however without the big name or big company have to take pride in what we do because we know the quality provides the name and the revenue will follow in due time. A good name and quality go a good distance but a bad name and poor work travel much further. When you take pride in what you do and love every aspect of the project it's a passion not just a job. It's a living you love and not just an income.

The crew was here almost two weeks. I thought it crazy that the company didn't provide them a port-a-jon. We had some other work done that took the same amount of time and that company made sure their crew had a place to use the bathroom. I certainly would not expect my crew to have to ask the homeowner. As for the work, good stuff, the crew were very professional. The company's "front office" were attentive when I asked for things, the only oddity is I never got an invoice after payment, nor the link they said I'd get to provide feedback. Like they went out of business or something. At any rate, I'd recommend this company, and would hire them again if I needed any work done. One note of recommendation, the wall lights used were $200 a piece and are fixed. Volt Lighting out of Florida has wall lights for $60 that can be adjusted to bathe the area where the $200 ones point straight down, limiting their ability to bathe the area broader. That is one change I would have made in hindsight.

The work area was super clean when they finished. You would think the hardscape had been there for years. 2). The work crew used a wheel barrow instead of the tracked bucket loader they had on site. As a result, there was NO damage to the existing sod or yard. That caused them a LOT of extra effort and was VERY appreciated. Photos are with no generator were taken within hours of Oak Valley completing work. Notice how clean they left the work area.
