Five gentlemen showed up this morning to clean my gutters, wash outside of windows and power wash. They did an exceptional job. I will certainly be sending out an email to my HOA recommending them. I contracted with this company to install 24' of Vinyl Fencing by my driveway. THIS IS A VENT REVIEW!! HOLD ON TO YOUR BRITCHES! OMG!! All I want right now is a honeydofriend!! Why me?! (Rhetorical) So I'm working on redecorating a couple of rooms in my home, and I wanted to fresh install 2 ceiling fans and one swap out. Simple enough you'd think, correct? Not for me, not in this day and age (rolling my eyes). I called around for a few quotes, and my usual electrician's quote, was insane, I thought (although he's excellent and covers his work, and Anything he touches regardless if it allegedly is a manufacturers defect), so I chose for $50 less these Jokers!! The old adage you get what you paid for, unfortunately, is always true for me!! I spoke with the owner (not verified, dammit I didn't verify anyone's license either!! Oh but ya best believe I'm on it now) and described what I needed done. He advised me to send him a text with my name, phone number and address (that should have been my first sign, dude CALLER ID displays my name and number!!), but I complied. He indicated that he would be sending one of his guys over to give me an estimate, (sign no. 2, everyone else is swamped, but not these guys lol j/k, also the guy who came to give the quote was ready to install immediately). They quoted me $650 (my electrician wanted $700, I might've told their receptionist that, hence the price, I KNOW, I KNOW, SHUT UP!!) As of late, to me, contractors of the male persuasion have been the true epitome of hemorrhoids!! I'm not one to usually generalize, but Damn, if it looks like a turd, and smells like a turd, then a turd it is ( unless you're being Punk'd and it's a candybar, lol). Anyway, I digress, ( ADHD, must focus, lol) the guy they sent said he was a subcontractor for this guy. (not the smartest thing I did, but he would have never left my home alive, lmao and it would have been all video'd, in 4K!! I wasn't concerned for my safety at all!!) He installed the fans fairly quickly, but there were issues with the 1st install immediately, which he said he would correct (another indication of possible installer error, or as they say in contractor school, "Always, Always Blame the Manufacturer, LMAO), he corrected and I although, I tested the fans, (I should have left them all on high circulation) I didn't put any of them on high for a long period of time. Also, one of my pet peeves is people without good home training. If you're a contractor, or are being paid for a job that requires you to make a mess, you don't put things where they were previously and you don't use all the parts or finalize the job. For example, if you are requested to install a ceiling fan, brand new out of the box with a remote control and you were paid a GRIP for said job, then you should clean up the mess you created, use and place all parts where indicated and take the trash with you. ( I'm thinking that was the $50 discount, rolling my eyes) Anyway, very looong story, short. The same fan as the installer, (in my opinion) fudged was also making loud rattling sounds, when on high. I immediately texted Jim/John/Joe?? the installer and didn't get a response, I again texted him this morning and also didn't get a response. I proceeded to text Joe the owner, and not only did he respond, but you would never guess what he said, " It's a manufacturing defect, and you have to get with them about it". LMAO ROFL I have to laugh to keep from crying. Anyway, Surprisingly, NOT!! he said, "that I had to pay for the reinstall". I'm thinking to myself, this fool is on a lethal combination of meth/crack. Why is it that some men (Some not All, I have/had amazing men in my life Dad, son, friends and brother), treat women as clueless? I don't have the patience to deal with condescending, indignant, disrespectful, rude and demeaning people! Folks avoid this company at all costs!! They don't know the meaning of accountability and respect, there's plenty of other businesses that deserve your money!! read more

I have debated about writing this review since July 28th. I hired them to do three things, level a new stove, paint an accent wall and sand and paint my kitchen doors. Three workers were sent to do the job. I asked that the cabinet doors be painted with cabinet paint. That wasn't done. The man in charge said he would only use one brand of paint. Also the draws were not to be painted. He said that he had to paint them. It didn't matter what I wanted. Two of the men did a good job and I supplied the paint for the accent wall. It was painted perfectly. I went to use my tongs and they were gone. Guess they were used for something and forgot to be put back. I had to buy them. I had planned on using them for other work but now I won't. I am in Henrico, VA not CA. read more

Can't say enough good things about this company. Didn't have to wait long for an estimate. Steven came out and had our estimate within 5 days. Once we scheduled the work, they showed up on time, professional attitude, and wanting to work. Christian and Dallas worked tirelessly to build and construct exactly what my wife had visioned of and they knocked it out of the park. Whenever something needed to be tweaked it was always "yes sir, whatever makes you feel good about it" and always with a smile. You just can't find that kind of work ethic in labor positions today. Job took 3 days and never did I hear one complaint uttered by these men. Working directly in the sunlight and heat, these guys worked and worked and worked. The finished product just shows how much time they put in to make sure it was done to our vision. Can't recommend them highly enough. My first contact with Johnny on the Spot was with Dale when I called and she was the lady that politely and professionally answered the telephone. I told her what projects I would like to have done around my house and she said that she would schedule Doug Hess to give me a call and set up a convenient time to come out and take a look at what I wanted done. Mr. Hess called me later that afternoon and we set up a convenient time for him to come out and look at what I wanted to have done. Doug Hess came and listened to all of the projects that I wanted to have done and offered great suggestions that would further enhance the beauty of my projects. I was very pleased that he was not a pushy sales person but was there to offer advice to me. He told me that he would be sending me an estimate by email after he had done all of the measurements of the areas in my house that I wanted done. I received that email later that evening. My significant other and I discussed the estimate and both decided that it was a very fair offer and I called and again spoke with Dale and told her that it was a go for our projects and that we were accepting the estimate. Dale looked at their scheduling book and set us up for an appointment to have our projects done. The day of our projects the painters Ricardo, Chris and Lucas arrived at 7:45 AM and I showed them what areas and what colors to use in each room and they immediately got started. Then Eric, our tile man who was putting up a back splash behind our stove arrived and got right to work and Dave, the carpenter who took down two bathroom vanity light fixtures and put up two new vanity light fixtures. Much more detail involved in just taking down and putting up new fixtures as the old fixtures had been here since house was built in 1976. Everyone was so quiet and hard at work. I kept checking because I was anxious to see the new colors we had picked to go in the different areas around the house and was so pleased. After a long day and the new light fixtures were up and painted around them with the new colors we had chosen for those areas and the back splash was up but had to come back the next day to finish and put the grout in and sealer on they asked me to do an inspection. While I was doing the inspection which was all perfect the painters to me were all in my book "Master Painters" and that was Ricardo, Chris and Lucas. The tile on the back splash done by Eric even though he was coming back looked wonderful and he worked so hard on the design that we picked out. And the lights done by Dave was a hard job but what a wonderful job he did. And during the day Doug Hess showed up to see how things were going and they were going great and I thought that was nice that he came by and what a professional and caring employee he is. I told all of the guys as they were cleaning up that I had never worked with a group of such dedicated guys that took so much pride in their work and they all said "we love our jobs and we love working for "Johnny on the Spot" and would not want to work anywhere else. Now for all of them to be away from their office to all say that about their employer means that Johnny on the Spot is a great company to work for based on their employees and a great company to hire for various projects. The next day Eric(tile man) showed up with Derek(tile man) to work together to finish up the back splash so we called them "The Eric and Derek" team.
