I own a home that was built in the early 1940's, cut into four sections and moved to my current location more than 50 years ago. My hardwood floors were cut with a rudimentary saw and put back together with screws, visible to the eye. The re-connection of my floors was not pretty, and gaps and leveling issues were obvious. The effected floors included my living room, two bedrooms and a hallway. Darren inspected the project and came up with a plan that would correct the poor floor re-connection that was originally done. Upon my request, Darren divided the floor restoration process into two phases. This allowed me to stay in my home during the project. My living room was completed in the first phase and the bedrooms and connecting hallway was done in the second phase. I could not be more pleased with the "GREAT JOB" he did bringing my floors back to life and looking better than new! Each phase of the project was completed in 5 days. We decided to convert our master bedroom from carpet to hardwood. After a couple of quotes from larger companies, we came across rave reviews for Darren Simmons, and requested a quote from him. A prompt reply led to an appointment for an estimate that was better than any meeting we had experienced. Darren gave us a reasonable quote and even scheduled the work for after our vacation. He maintained contact that confirmed the date of the work and the time needed to complete the job. On the appointed date, he arrived with wood that matched the rest of our downstairs floors, removed the carpet efficiently, and laid out the wood to acclimate overnight. The next day ended with all the flooring down and matching the original hardwoods better than we expected. Darren did a wonderful job replacing damaged tongue-and-groove boards on our covered wood back porch. The job took three days. Each day he arrived early and worked hard all day, carefully removing the damaged boards while leaving all the good boards in perfect condition. He then fitted new boards, matching the existing boards perfectly. He cut and sanded the new pieces so the finished product looks fantastic. He was professional and easy to work with.
