However, after leaving my last employer, they continued to pay me over 3 pay periods. It was never my intention to keep it. They contacted me and worked out on how to pay it back. Terrible, I will not use Proservice again. They installed an expensive 3 part water filter system and when it stopped working. despite multiple attempts to contact them failed to respond. It took 8 months and me contacting the system manufacturer to finally get a response. Unfortunately I had paid Proservice in full and they clearly didn't care enough to take care of me. read more

I've been a client of ProService for over 4 years - and have had nothing but very good service with them. Any question I ever emailed or called in was answered within the day. They have taken the burden off of my hands when it came to workmen's comp, unemployment requests, handling payroll, etc. Now that they've integrated more online options, I can make things happen through their customer portal and no longer have to deal with any forms. They also offer training on HR matters to their customers. Good company - happy with their service. read more

WORST H.R. COMPANY IN HAWAII It appears ProServices Hawaii is incompetent for providing basic H.R. Services. I have been trying to transfer my 401k from TRANSAMERICA to my ROTH/Traditional IRA after ending my employment with fine company. ProServices Hawaii continually sidestepping their responsibility, especially their Retirement Dept. It should not take 30 days to execute a transfer where we only needed a single signature from ProServices Hawaii to allow TRANSAMERICA to execute the transfer. I do not recommend ProServices to any business who desire a professional service. Do Not Recommend ProServices for H.R. Support. There are other competent organizations filling the needs of employees and employers. read more

I had the worst experience with ProService Hawaii's retirement dept. Just trying to get a simple 401(k) rollover took MONTHS. After ignoring a 401(k) from a previous employer for more than a year, I finally decided to roll it over into my current plan to get my finances in order. I filled out the rollover form and just needed ProService to fill in the last section before I could submit it. I had to call ProService 6 times over 2 weeks just to get someone from the retirement dept on the phone. I was repeatedly told Vida Kahoekapu was the only person who could help me with my rollover, yet she not once got back to me after I repeatedly left her voicemails and emailed her. Only on the 6th time trying did someone finally put me in touch with Teri Okuda, who told me all I needed to do was email my form and gave me the email address. If it's so simple, why did it take me this long to get it? This info should be on the ProService website. But WAIT, there's more. Even after emailing my form, it was never processed by ProService. I had to remind ProService again to process my form. Only then, after it's processed, do I find out that my form has an error. What's the error? My address doesn't match the address on record. And I have to get the form notarized--spending my own money and even more time trying to get my own retirement money. At this point, I was done, so I gave up on getting the rollover done now and decided to wait until the notary requirement was no longer needed. I checked a MONTH later, which is when I finally got the rollover done over the phone with the 401(k) company with no help from ProService this time, and it went just fine. I don't usually write angry reviews, but I was FUMING after this experience. A rollover shouldn't be this difficult to process, and the ProService retirement people need to do their jobs. Idk if Vida had something going on at the time, but if she didn't, she definitely wasn't doing her job. Shout out to Teri for being the only person who was actually helpful and responded to me this whole time. I genuinely hope I never take another job that uses ProService for HR again, this was absurd. read more

The company i am employed by decided to use proservice. Turns out one of my documents were expired. At that point i had already completed the majority of the onboarding process. Upon correcting my documents needed i contacted them stating i thought i had everything needed to move forward and was told my boss was to handle the process and what i had completed was not there anymore pretty much everything with the exception of my i.d. Isn't that what my employer hired them to do? All said and done when my employer was able to process what they required ,my account shows no benefit package,no vacation/personal/sick time,no retirement and here it is Sunday and i still have not seen any money deposited to my account nor has my bank who have gone out of their way to assist me. Very, very POOR SERVICE! I always take the time to write excellent reviews and rarely find the need to write a zero star review. Absolutely the worst customer service ever!. They just don't care to assist you. They drag their feet for everything. Some of the assistants sound very pleasant, but...NO ACTION! I called them 12 times in one day and it is always one excuse after another. NO SOLUTIONS! Their responsiveness to communication, whether it be emails or calls, needs a huge improvement. The service provided by ProService is quite slow and inconsistent. I visited their main office at Hawaii Kai Towne Center. A lot of the staff at this location are young and hip and possibly just graduate college so if youre looking for experienced staff you might not find it here. ProService has some cool employee perks that I was thinking of utilizing so I was seeking more information. One would think that a company that bills itself as a "Professional HR services" company would be able to function effectively in the HR realm. Not so for ProService Hawaii. I recently tried to navigate the hiring process of this company because I was interested in a position that they had posted. I am not upset in the slightest that I was not selected for the position, in fact by the time they had made a decision I had already moved on, and based upon my interactions with this unreliable company I would not have accepted the position had they offered it to me. The culture of this company is obviously broken. A quick note about myself: I am a business professional . I have started and managed successful companies for other people. I have years of experience establishing and managing Sales and Operations teams that perform at a very high level. The following is a timeline of my experience working with this company's hiring process. June 24 - I Apply Online via LinkedIn June 29 - I receive an email, "further information requested". June 29 - I provide the information required through their web portal. June 30 - I receive "application viewed" notification from LinkedIn. July 21 - I receive "next steps" and "further information requested" emails. July 22 - I provide the information required (again) through the web portal. Aug 11 - I receive email from HR "T" to schedule initial interview, interview is scheduled for 8/24. Aug 24 - Interview (Tuesday) Post Interview (1:30 PM) I receive an email from "T" promising a follow up "No later than 2 business days from today" Aug 28 - (Saturday) after waiting Wed-Fri, I send email asking about promised 2 business day follow up Aug 30 - (Monday) I receive an email from "T" that again promised another follow-up "Update for you by end of the day Wednesday of this week" (9/1) Sep 7 - (late night) after more than a week, I receive an email requesting to schedule for another interview. Email says that link should be provided within two hours. Sep 8 - (Morning) I email "T" to let him know scheduling link never came. Sep 9 - (9:40 pm) I receive email from "T" saying this was sent to you "in error"; "I should have an update for you by end of the day tomorrow" Sep 20 - I receive an email from Tyler "we have chosen to move forward with a different candidate" Almost 90 days to get a "thank you but, no thank you" email??? With many commitments to follow up and expectations set, and not one of them even attempted. Sending an inquiry was the only way to get any kind of response, and then the reply was simply another commitment date for a response that they had no intention of keeping. Honestly, after the third failure of "T" to follow up, I had written this company off as unprofessional, and had no further desire to explore employment with them. The September 20th email was irritating enough to me that I decided to send a very professional LinkedIn note to Kayla (Sr. HR Business Partner) stating that "I wanted to provide some feedback on their hiring processes". I was hoping that perhaps she simply wasn't aware of the the extremely unprofessional behavior of someone who is supposed to be the face of the company and hire the talent that will eventually represent the company. I have waited a month for a response from Kayla; perhaps she is not the person who should be made aware of this, or maybe she just doesn't care. This has been on my personal "to follow up" list for a month waiting for a response from Kayla. This morning I called their office and asked to speak with her. She hasn't returned my call either. I decided to leave this review so that I can cross this off of my "to follow up" list, in case someone over there actually does care. Additionally, the very least I can do is offer a warning for other professionals that may be seeking employment before they waste their time. read more

I was hired as an extern for a company that contracted with ProService. While I was not a formal employee, I was getting paid and therefore was classified as one. ProService was a month late on paychecks. What could've been simply fixed turned into conversations back and forth with the contracting company's representative. They only replied, "the payroll department had mistakenly deposited your checks into another person's account." This had occurred with multiple checks. When I contacted the right people, ProService direct deposited all the money owed only towards the end of my externship. Quality control needs to be improved, since the possibility of not paying people on time should be zero to none. I felt defeated in arguing over which hours was paid back, and the ones that were not. I can not imagine what it would have been like if I was a regular employee. read more

But I never felt rushed or pressured in any way. I was so stressed out about all transition. But everyone I have dealt with thus far has been only calm & reassuring. The transition was very smooth. Through NO FAULT of the company I worked for, my last 3 paychecks have been messed up. The first one was supposed to be mailed to the Cafe I worked for, but was mailed to my home address instead, after my boss emailed to confirm that my check would be mailed to the Cafe. It took six days after my payday to receive rather 1st check, which ProService hand delivered to my account. My second paycheck was supposed to be direct deposited, but it was not. Supposedly, my checking account has an additional number on the end that caused the kickback. Again, they hand delivered my check to my account. The manager was very kind and confirmed my account/routing numbers with the bank to ensure that my next check would not have any issues. If you have gotten this far, I'm sure you can guess what happened with my third pay check. That's right! It didn't get deposited into my account and I'm told they don't have the resources to deposit it like the last two (I mean, I get it, but this is their fault...). I asked them to mail me my check and I am currently waiting on its arrival. I was going through my paperwork because I thought this MUST be my fault, but it is not. All of my account information, routing number, etc are all correct, according to my direct deposit form from my bank. This is the fault of ProService Hawaii. 0/10 would recommend, but I am grateful for how prompt and professional Kaycee Kimbel has been. She truly did go above and beyond with my first 2 paychecks. She deserves a raise, a paid vacation, and to work for a better company that does not mess with people's hard-earned funds. These mistakes have cost me hundreds in late fees, overdrafts, and interest from not being able to pay bills on time, due to not being paid when I am supposed to receive my funds. read more

I was hired by a company that uses their services. A lot of sloppy errors between paychecks and issuing my insurance. If a company is paying for their service the employee should not need to reach out to them to ask why they still don't have insurance months down the line. They blamed my Doctor's office and previous employer for the confusion in coverage, but it was due to an error on their end. I was put into a bind choosing between paying out of pocket for glasses or just being blind. In all seriousness if the company I run made this many mistakes and I failed my customers so badly on a regular basis we would no longer exist. As a really small business owner I thought that I can't really afford an HR company. Boy was I wrong. Being older, wiser and a more experienced business owner I now know for sure that I can't afford not having an HR company. Thanks to Proservice I can sleep at night, knowing that they have my back. The company my husband works for just switched to using Pro Service. I went on-line to sign my husband up. I gave all HIS information, His drivers license etc. I received an e-mail from a Chalese Morton from Pro Service stating she had received everything and that my husband was all signed up and ready to go. Yesterday I was sent a link on PS so checked it out to make sure all was good. First thing I see is "Welcome (my name)" and my name it big, bold print..Hello! I don't carry husbands last name so even that was wrong! How could Pro Service make such a huge mistake?? Getting Ms. Morton on the phone is just about impossible. Husbands payday is tomorrow so concerned where his check will go.. Terrible service from Pro Service! I worked at a place where they use ProService as their HR and payroll services. My experience with them was HORRIBLE. First of all, the lady who called me to finalize my hiring paperwork could not even pronounce the name of the company, second of all, she was unaware that all the documents and ID's I provided them was sufficient for onboard hiring. Then, when I went to my old work place to pick up my stuff, I asked the manager about my paycheck and she told me ProService handles that, so I called them and the phone just rang and rang and rang and rang - no answer. FINALLY, I decided to leave a voicemail regarding my paycheck and they have not called me back and it has been a WEEK. I do not recommend ProService. read more

Said they accidentally sent my insurance papers and cards to the wrong address, now I have to wait for another month after re-signing new paperwork for health insurance. I am 54 and health is very important need to get medication and a flu shot. Also, i signed up for direct deposit yet, pro service keeps making me come their office to pickup check. One more thing, accountant who works there, not going to say her name, comes off as quite rude. How can you be in business this long and not improve? read more

Pro Service is supposed to be an HR company... but with my experience, all they seem to do well is payroll! Mind as well change their company name to Pro Payroll Service. I recently was wrongfully terminated back in November from a position and I was told that Pro Service could help me talk to the right people. WRONG. When I called, the person in the "termination" department or whatever was out of office, so I left a message with the person that took my call so that they could call me back... NOPE! No call back. When I called again later, they were unhelpful. They could not refer me to ANYONE to talk to about my employee rights!!! They had ZERO resources for me. All they said was that they would pass my concern onto my company... well, duh. But, don't you think they already know of my concerns?! I was did wrong, you're supposed to help me! Also, I got a phone call from the State of Hawaii HR saying that it was reported by Pro Service that I was fired for insubordination... NOT TRUE. For one, I wasn't even fired according to my company, I was "let go." Two, I definitely was not insubordinate! I even called my company to VERIFY that that was not true and was told that it was Pro Service that spoke with the State HR office. When I called Pro Service yet AGAIN, they just said "well, that was what was reported to us by your company." They obviously don't stay on the same page as their clients! My concern is that now somewhere in a record, it is stated that I was fired for insubordination, which is NOT TRUE... they didn't even try to fix it! Pro Service needs better training on how to handle situations when shit hits the fan. I ended up successfully on unemployment benefits, but no thanks to any help from Pro Service. As an employee of a business who employs ProService, I was turned on to a few benefits. One of those being discounted movie tickets! Since I am in the HKTC every week, I figured I would stop by to inquire about these famed tickets! The lady at the front, Brie, was absolutely amazing. She greeted me immediately and with a warm smile! She was patient and answered all my questions, printed off necessary paperwork, and even expedited my order. The 5 stars are indeed mainly for Brie!! I can only hope the other ProService employees are as great as she was. I'm sure I'll be stopping in occasionally for more tickets;-) read more
