I did all the things, all of them Arrived to my supposed-to-be consultation with the dental proprietor of the establishment, to be served a cup of rinse. I rinsed. I spat. I sat awkwardly through 20 pictures of my teeth being taken by digital camera. I held the tongs when asked. My husband raised an eyebrow. I shrugged. I was there to discuss a plan for getting implants, as my teeth did not make it through terminal lung cancer as peppy as I did. When I informed them I was not there for the $149 super special super cleaning, confusion was thick. I said again, I was supposed to see the owner. Andrea said she works with the #1 implant specialist in the country. I was stoked. We then waited 30 minutes for the dentist who showed up delightful, gentle and absolutely clueless to anything. She asked why I was there. I said to fix my teeth. She said what's wrong with them. I said there's only 7. She asked what I was specifically there for. Now less sure, I answered... expertise? On... dental... implants? Did no one... sigh. She excised herself to peer at my X-rays for the first time, and then said she would not be able to help me, but handed me a useless post-it where 'a firmer cancer patient like me can go to get specialized care for my cancer deformity.' Um. Those teeth were pulled in the 90's, back when sedation dentistry wasn't really a thing, and my dentist pulled anything that needed more than 10 minutes work because I had panic disorder. Unacceptable in the late 80's and early 90's. Point is, it was a waste of time, a schmooze to get me there and it was irritating because now my sedation dentist is like: appreciate what you have. And maybe that's it. I'll give him 23k because my deformity, whether from cancer or anxiety, doesn't bother him And he knows I'd absolutely smack him if he said I was deformed. Because what a douche to the ego High traffic. Very busy. It's dark. Addams family decor (black blinds with dark blue floors). Don't recommend. Unless that's your thing. Then go for it.

This box is too small and 5 stars is not nearly enough to describe my experience with Dr. Craybas…read moreand his amazing staff!!! I did extensive research on cosmetic dentists here in the Syracuse area before finally making the call to set up an appointment with Creative Dental Concepts. If you're anything like me, there is a lot of anxiety associated with any major dental procedure. From day one, Dr. Craybas and his staff made me feel comfortable and instead of dreading each appointment, I couldn't wait!!! My new smile is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! The Facts? *I was able to make an appointment within an extremely reasonable amount of time. *The first impression I had of this office was over the phone while setting up my initial consultation. Nicole was very friendly, welcoming and informative (a huge plus since I was so nervous about this appointment). *I had several visits for my procedure and they never kept me waiting. My appointments were always on time. *The girls in the office are super friendly and always make you feel welcome, especially Kim who worked directly with Dr. Craybas on my shiny new smile! She's a rockstar! *And Dr. Craybas... I can say with 100% confidence, if you are looking for a cosmetic dentist in the Syracuse area, look no further! From day one, he HEARD what I was saying. The artist in him had an image in mind of what my smile would become when he was done and let me tell you, he created a masterpiece! Before seeing Dr. Craybas, my teeth were dark and fragile from a lack of enamel; I have hated my smile for YEARS! And now? I can't stop smiling! My teeth are healthy and beautiful! They are so "ME" and so natural looking; exactly what I asked for :) I would absolutely recommend Dr. Craybas and Creative Dental Concepts of CNY and if I could I would give them many more stars!!!

When I got in the chair, he got me relaxed and I didn't even know the needles went in! The rest of the procedure went very smoothly! The attention and care for each patient goes above and beyond here and I cannot thank Dr. DiMento enough. Getting into the office was quick and easy. Very little wait time and the staff was all very friendly and welcoming. Thank you!!!

Once again, Dr. DiMento performed his magic yesterday (9/13/22) I left a review months back…read moreexpressing how my visits with this dental practice had been beyond phenomenal , but I truly have to say, Dr. D is so patient, caring, focused on what's best for his patients, so precise with his work, considerate, friendly, personable, down to earth, funny and so so much more. I started seeing him in June 2021 and when I say this man had/has his work cut out for him when it came/comes to correcting issues with my teeth, that's an UNDERSTATEMENT. I was very embarrassed bc I didn't want him or his assistants to think I didn't take care of my teeth, bc I did. He instantly put me at ease simply by sitting right next to me with my x-rays up on the screen and said, " I can tell you care about your teeth bc I can see the work u've had done in the past If you didn't care , you wouldn't have had any work done. So don't be embarrassed. Together we're gonna come up with a treatment plan and take care of everything that needs to be done, so never be embarrassed "and that is exactly what he has been doing once a month. During my recent visit I had expressed to him how I had brought my 78 yr old mother with me. With out hesitation, this man points to the chair in the corner of the room and says, "How come Moms not in here. Do you want us to have her come back here with us?" I didn't lol, she was comfortable out in waiting room, but it was so generous of him to offer and it was more then appreciated on my end. But what truly won me over with him, not that I wasn't already, is when the next thing he said was. "I'd love to meet her. Your mother. Are you able to wait a cpl extra minutes in the waiting room after we are done here, I'd like to come out and introduce myself to her"....ok I won't lie, that honestly touched my heart....who does that? What professional WANTS to take the time to come out and meet a 78 yr old woman, a patients mother ? And she even had a cpl questions and he nvr once rushed her, said he didn't have time to answer questions, blow her off or make her feel like her questions were not important. That, to me, is the highest form of respect. . But THAT is who Dr. DiMento is. That's the kind of human being he is. He's not looking at you as a "paycheck", he truly treats his patients like family. I more then recommend Syracuse Family Dentist. The whole entire crew is friendly, funny, personable and professional, The office is beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. Need a dentist? Don't look any further, Call these guys, you will not regret 1 second of your decision. See you next month SFD. LOVE THESE GUYS

I found Dr. Manunts while searching for someone that could repair a filling that broke after…read moreanother dentist "repaired" it a short while ago. (I wasn't willing to go back to that dentist - I take a lot of medication to get numb, but the previous dentist didn't really numb me all that much, plus provided what I consider to be a really subpar repair of a filling that had never bothered me before. I don't care if that filling would have been free; that dentist was not worth the trouble.) I didn't have dental care growing up, so dentists are a source of anxiety for me, but I can't avoid the fact that a massive chunk of one of my teeth was missing. After an exam of the broken filling three weeks ago, Dr. Manunts told me that I'd likely need a root canal, because she was worried about the pain I was in and some swelling around the gums, and while I wasn't exactly happy with that, she calmed my fears, helped me set up an appointment, and then encouraged me to research the procedure, stressing to me how important it was to avoid the horror stories. I was asked to call with any questions and absolutely challenge her with hard questions if I needed to. I was able to find some pretty great resources that calmed me down a bit and demonstrated the procedure without showing me actual video of it. When I went in for the procedure today, I wasn't exactly looking forward to it, but she again put me at ease, suggested I put on an audiobook or some music, and just let her work. She asked me whether I typically need a lot of numbing for procedures like this, and I know that I do, so I told her that. She then told me that if I feel anything beyond the fact that she was there - meaning if I felt pain - to just raise my left hand, and they'd stop and numb me more. That was important to me. The previous nightmare of a dentist I had here in Ithaca did not listen to my concerns that I need more numbing than most, and when I tried to let her know that I felt it, her response was essentially to suck it up because she was moving forward anyway. I have a chronic pain condition. I can take pain. The pain of that dentist "repairing" that filling was so much more than necessary, to the point that I stopped going out of fear she'd find something else wrong and put me through that nightmare again. So if that dentist ever wonders why I never went back, it's stuff like that. When Dr. Manunts started, I did feel it and did as she suggested, raising my left hand slightly to let them know that I felt pain. She then pulled out the more heavy-duty anesthetic, then tried again. I didn't feel it this time, so she proceeded, and I tried to relax and listen to my audiobook. When she got down to the point she'd need to go to perform the root canal itself, she realized that she was mistaken and told me that I would not, in fact, need a root canal, and that she'd be repairing the filling instead. That was a pretty pleasant surprise, so I of course let her proceed. I appreciate that she admitted that she made a mistake and that she didn't want to put me through an unnecessary procedure. A few minutes later, I had a shiny, new, repaired filling, and she told me that my teeth are actually in pretty good condition...I just need to get them cleaned more often to avoid the gum swelling she was worried about that caused her to think I needed a root canal (which I totally agree with! I was just so gun-shy after that last dentist). She also told me what to look out for in the future to determine whether it's standard sensitive teeth (which I know I have), sensitivity to heat or cold, or something more serious. Then she sent me on my merry way. I'll be coming back next month for a cleaning before we leave the area for good. I'm sad that I didn't discover Dr. Manunts before, but I am more than happy to leave this here to hopefully save someone the same fears I've dealt with since visiting a less competent dentist. She and her staff are incredibly pleasant, low-pressure people who care about making sure everyone gets what they need when they need it, with as little anxiety or pain as possible. She is not afraid to answer questions, and more importantly, she's not willing to put someone through a procedure they don't need. If you're new to the area, seek out Dr. Manunts first. You won't regret it, I promise.

She sent me to have three teeth removed. While I was waiting for those sites to heal I lost the tip of another. I went in to have the tip repaired and she also did purely cosmetic fillings on the outside surface with the warning it might not last. She was right. It didn't. I paid over $800 for a gloss that fell out after two weeks. It's been a year now and the tip repair has fallen out, too. I had a partial plate with six teeth built for almost $2K. I can't wear it. It gives me a speech impediment. She said, "Oh, just read the newpaper outloud." There is so much plastic I can't find my alveolar ridge to form an l, n, d, or t. There is even plastic on the back surface of the upper front teeth, that I can't form an Italian l either. I'm a voice professional and must be able to perform in Italian, French, and English as well as demonstrate to my students. The only positives about the office are the delightful woman in the front office and the very healthy croton that gets morning sunshine through the window. Avoid at all costs.
