I went to Dr. DiMento yesterday for my fillings and I lost sleep over the thought of the procedure…read more I hate needles. I was up all night, throwing up and worrying about the possible pain. When I got in the chair, he got me relaxed and I didn't even know the needles went in! The rest of the procedure went very smoothly! The attention and care for each patient goes above and beyond here and I cannot thank Dr. DiMento enough. Getting into the office was quick and easy. Very little wait time and the staff was all very friendly and welcoming. Thank you!!!

Once again, Dr. DiMento performed his magic yesterday (9/13/22) I left a review months back…read moreexpressing how my visits with this dental practice had been beyond phenomenal , but I truly have to say, Dr. D is so patient, caring, focused on what's best for his patients, so precise with his work, considerate, friendly, personable, down to earth, funny and so so much more. I started seeing him in June 2021 and when I say this man had/has his work cut out for him when it came/comes to correcting issues with my teeth, that's an UNDERSTATEMENT. I was very embarrassed bc I didn't want him or his assistants to think I didn't take care of my teeth, bc I did. He instantly put me at ease simply by sitting right next to me with my x-rays up on the screen and said, " I can tell you care about your teeth bc I can see the work u've had done in the past If you didn't care , you wouldn't have had any work done. So don't be embarrassed. Together we're gonna come up with a treatment plan and take care of everything that needs to be done, so never be embarrassed "and that is exactly what he has been doing once a month. During my recent visit I had expressed to him how I had brought my 78 yr old mother with me. With out hesitation, this man points to the chair in the corner of the room and says, "How come Moms not in here. Do you want us to have her come back here with us?" I didn't lol, she was comfortable out in waiting room, but it was so generous of him to offer and it was more then appreciated on my end. But what truly won me over with him, not that I wasn't already, is when the next thing he said was. "I'd love to meet her. Your mother. Are you able to wait a cpl extra minutes in the waiting room after we are done here, I'd like to come out and introduce myself to her"....ok I won't lie, that honestly touched my heart....who does that? What professional WANTS to take the time to come out and meet a 78 yr old woman, a patients mother ? And she even had a cpl questions and he nvr once rushed her, said he didn't have time to answer questions, blow her off or make her feel like her questions were not important. That, to me, is the highest form of respect. . But THAT is who Dr. DiMento is. That's the kind of human being he is. He's not looking at you as a "paycheck", he truly treats his patients like family. I more then recommend Syracuse Family Dentist. The whole entire crew is friendly, funny, personable and professional, The office is beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. Need a dentist? Don't look any further, Call these guys, you will not regret 1 second of your decision. See you next month SFD. LOVE THESE GUYS

I don't dismiss that. Feeling disrespected, rushed, or stuck waiting in any medical office is upsetting, and I understand why emotions can run high around that. That said, my experience with Dr. Kaur was very different. During my visit, Dr. Kaur clearly showed me where the trouble with my teeth was, explained why those issues existed, and walked me through what could happen if they were ignored. What stood out to me was that she never demanded that I do anything. There were no scare tactics, no pressure, and no "you must do this now" tone. She simply explained the situation and offered reasonable options, leaving the decision in my hands. I felt listened to, respected, and informed rather than pushed. That matters to me. I also want to offer this gently: medical and dental offices are run by people, and people are not perfect. Schedules can run late. Communication can break down. Stressful days happen. That doesn't erase frustration--but it also doesn't mean every patient will have the same experience. I went in looking for care, not conflict, and that's exactly what I received. For anyone reading reviews and trying to decide, I would encourage taking a balanced view. Different people can walk into the same place and come away with very different experiences. Mine was positive enough that I would return without hesitation and feel comfortable recommending this office to others. I truly hope that those who had difficult experiences are able, with time, to rethink them and put them in perspective. Emotions can run high in moments of stress, and sometimes distance helps bring clarity. My experience showed me that there is more to this practice than what is reflected in the most emotional reviews.

I have been seeing Dr. Schwab the entire time, he's probably nearing retirement now. The hygienists and receptionist have been there for many years, low employee turn over is always a good sign. The entire staff is friendly and professional. A few years ago they started submitting claims to insurance on your behalf, I like that. I'm not a huge fan of the location, it's in the, "badlands" of Syracuse. I still make the drive from the southern suburbs because I think Dr. Schwab is worth it. About a year ago I left central New York for Austin, Texas. My new dentist complimented Dr. Schwab's work on my multiple fillings. She said they looked tight, clean and professional. I have never had a filling crack or need to be replaced, the work speaks for itself. If you live in central New York and need a dentist, stop looking and call the Dental Arts Group, it's well worth the drive.

I love the location. Its so convenient for those of us that live near Tipp Hill or work near downtown. I have an appointment for a filling in a couple weeks & I'm actually looking forward to going back... to the dentist! Can you believe it?! This was acknowledged at the time, yet the office refused to re-evaluate or correct the failed work before I left. Despite this, the procedure was later billed to my insurance as successfully completed. As someone familiar with both New York State Dental Board expectations and insurance billing requirements, billing for treatment that is known to have failed raises serious ethical and compliance concerns. Additionally, I formally requested my complete patient records in September 2025. To date, I have not received them. Under New York law, patients are legally entitled to a copy of their dental records within a reasonable timeframe. This is not optional and does not require justification. My request remains unfulfilled. This review is intended to document my direct experience and to warn others to thoroughly review their treatment outcomes, insurance explanations of benefits, and ensure they receive their medical records when requested. I hope this practice takes accountability, follows legal requirements, and improves transparency and patient care going forward.

Every cleaning I am now told, it all looks great, my gums look great, no more fillings. Just regular hygiene maintenance. I knew I was leaving the area once SU semester was over, I explained this to Dax. He assured me this could be completed . Aspen Dentistry in Camillus said they could not! I have an e-mail trail to family, Friends and the colleague stating I could have this work done In 3 1/2 months. I I was so excited . Time elapsed and I soon realized full payment was the first and only priority. My dental insurance at SU was not great. The delay for a $1000.00 was ridiculous, I begged that I would pay this and work with my company to get reimbursed. This was not acceptable and weeks were lost. I had left town and had to return on my dime, my entire upper teeth were completed in the five day frame. I would be leaving the country and then relocating to North Carolina! I was leaving now knowing that no lower work was started, even with a ragged tooth that cuts and bleeds often. Returning to NC , it will cost two weeks time to complete the work that is already paid! Who would ever want to spend their yearly vacation in of all places Solvay, NY? After a year and half, and getting nonwhere and worse yet the rudest duo in Dax and Lindsey would could care less. Thankfully Care Credit and the NY Attorney General's Office gave me the contacts to get a refund for the work this office would not complete on time! In this day and age, it's rarity that a customer is basically called a liar! Thankfully, I kept a solid email trail! Also recorded phone conversations, not sure it is legal but it couldn't hurt. Moral of the story, never pre-pay. Once that have all their money some like this group will feel empowered to screw their patients over! Lesson learned here the hard way! I was willing to come up for one week like before, now suddenly it takes two weeks. Do not have them charge the entire bill before they complete all the work!!!!
