Good place. I usually use them for manicure/pedicure in the spa chair. Like many places, the technicians are more interested in talking to each other than clients. One of the reasons I choose this place over others is that they don't use power tools (Dremel) on my nails. The big plus for me is the foot and calf massage. I love it. They ask that you buy a small kit for personal hygiene reasons for a nominal fee ($1?). I leave it in the car to remember it for the next time. The massage chairs sometimes have service issues and aren't always working. CP24 is often showing on the TVs, so I bring an e-book or a friend to chat with. read more

I frequent this nail salon even though I live in Pickering. I have only ever had Shellac manicures there from a lady named Nancy. This salon is clean and reasonably priced - $33.90 after tax for a Shellac manicure. My nails always look nice, however, some visits turn out better than others, for example sometimes my nails don't seem as shiny as other times even if I am just getting the same colour again. I have never experienced any cuts or rough handling and I enjoy getting my manicures there. Have I had better manicures at other places? Absolutely, but the cost difference is significant. For someone who only gets Shellac every couple of months as a treat, I consider Pro Spa a solid choice and I will continue to go there. The only real negative I could say is that I have had to wait 15-20 minutes sometimes before my appointment begins when I arrive on time (although I did not have to wait when I was there today), but this is usually due to people being late before me I imagine. Worst Mother/Daughter mani/pedi ever! My daughters mani/pedi looked like a 5 yr old did it! My gel gel manicure had uneven coloring and did not cover my nail. My hands and feet felt so rough afterwards as well. I get a mani/pedi every month and this is the last time we will go here! read more

I have been getting my eyebrows wax for 5 years now and I have never had a issue with wax until I came here. With in a hour of getting my eyebrows wax from here I break out all around my eyebrows. It happen twice and I will not be going back. read more

I can't really review this company for regular business, but I tried to use my recently purchased dealfind coupons there ($29 for 50 minute facial and 50 minute massage) and this was my experience: 1st coupon: the worker made me fill out a lot of paperwork and explained that she couldn't offer 50 minute facial AND 50 minute massage posted on the voucher, that was dealfind's mistake when posting the deal, she had to add on the extra time for the facial otherwise the facial would not be complete and then would try to do a 1/2 hour massage. after a lot of back and forth discussing the terms of the deal, i happily agreed and the session was uneventful. not the best facial i've ever had and massage was only mediocre, but was fine overall and i left a tip. 2nd coupon: i was late for the appointment trying to print out my coupon (dealfind site was not working!) and got there late. even though the worker was sitting there when i got there, the owner insisted that they couldn't do the treatment due to me being late and she had another client after. i thought that was not very nice since on my first day, between all the paperwork and all the explanations about how the girl couldn't do what was promised in the dealfind, my session started ~ 1/2 hour late even though i was there 10 minutes early for my appointment. on the way out, the owner insisted for my voucher number, but i didn't feel comfortable to give it since they didn't honour my appointment anyway and i would just give it on the day i came back for the appointment. we scheduled an appointment and i left pretty upset that i'd been inconvenienced that way (gas, time, expense of getting there). came back two weeks later for my reschedulled appointment...but they cancelled that appointment, said i never returned their calls for my voucher number--another lady was there at the same time (early morning) with the same dealfind voucher i had, so they gave her my time slot. they never offered to rebook a time, and when i just let them know i'd cancel the dealfind they kind of called after me as i walked out the door! twice inconvenienced by this silly company over a simple facial and massage. i will NEVER go back to this small-fry nail shop ever again for anything! i live in the neighborhood and probably would have gone there regularly for mini facial/mani-pedi, also for my husband to get a pedi, but after giving me the runaround twice over i will never give them my hard-earned dollars even though they are just minutes from my house...and will let other people know my experience too. a dealfind customer is still a paying customer and we dont deserve to be treated like garbage when redeeming vouchers. NEVER AGAIN AT PRO-SPA for me. read more

I also bought coupons through dealfind and found problems. As in the previous comment the massage was shorter and the facial was longer. I had to book 3 weeks prior to the appointment and even then was offered times like 6:30 on Friday night. I thought the point of these types of deals was for the customer to be able to check out a place before having to pay full price. I have booked my second (with coupon) appt but bAsed on the treatment so far I will not return. read more

I tried Pro Spa first the first time on August 31st, 2013, and it'll definitely be the last time I ever go there. I booked an appointment for myself and my mother to get a mani/pedi, I had booked a spa manicure and spa pedicure for myself, and a spa manicure and regular pedicure for my mother. What we seemed to be given were poor quality manicures and pedicures. My manicurist wasn't interested in talking to me - none of the manicurists were interested in talking to their clients. The cleaning seemed unsanitary, one woman got a pedicure and had a fungus, yet all that they did for cleaning in the bowls was spray some Lysol or similar product around the bowl and rinse the cleaning product out. The manicurist scrubbed so hard on the tops of my feet during the pedicure that my feet were red and sore for a while after, and afterwards I inspected my fingernails, only to find that my French manicure was done unevenly, very sloppy, and my cuticles were uneven. Imagine my surprise a few days later when one of my toes became very painful, then became red and swollen. I picked up an infection from one of the tools I believe. The sanitation there is questionable at best, and that cinched it for me. It hurt very badly to walk or if anything touched it. Fortunately I managed to clear it up using a home remedy, but not without pain. I will never go to Pro Spa again; as they say, first impressions are lasting impressions. If you are thinking of going to Pro Spa, I ask you to reconsider. It's not worth it. Spend a little extra and go to a spa which won't land you in a doctor's office with an infection. read more

I have been going to Prospa for several years. The girls are always friendly. Yes, some do not speak English well but I have always been able to communicate with them. The pedicures have gotten me rave compliments on many occasions. The leg and foot massage that comes with it are worth the price of the pedicure. Manicures also last and are done well. I have also had leg waxing and continue to use them for this. I have always found the place clean and well maintained. I have never had an infection of any kind. I highly recommend them and have given certificates to my family and friends. read more
