I'm a physician, and came to them in February of 2025- the male dentist was very knowledgeable and kind and I had a good experience. I had a six month check up in August, and the female dentist was horrible. She wanted to charge me 200$ to replace a glue bond on ONE tooth for my permanent retainer- for reference, I've never paid more than 40$ for this less than 2 minute procedure. Even the hygienist - named Betty who is Black and fabulous by the way, was perplexed. After I declined the service she was rude hostile, and barely checked my teeth after my cleaning. I told the front desk when I scheduled my next cleaning I never wanted her again and that Betty was fabulous. Got an email review and wrote the same thing. Fast forward to two weeks ago, I updated insurance, and asked to make sure I didn't have that dentist again- I loved the first dentist so didn't want to leave the practice. I was given assurances she would not be the dentist for my appointment. I called today asking to come in early as I have an appointment and my filling is cracked- I'm told not only is Hakim my dentist but they knew it and I would need to reschedule to not have her, completely negating my concerns or time for that matter. Never going back. If you're a POC and not SE Asian, I'd steer clear of Hakim- only interested in money and not thorough, rude and nasty.

The last thing I want to hear is somebody else's taste of music blasting emotional music while I'm having my teeth worked on which can be painful. It's totally unnecessary these days- everybody has headphones they can choose to bring their own music if need be. I don't care for their magazine choices they are old and dirty. The office is fairly clean it's a little outdated. Pretty good location; easy to get to. The dentist and hygienist kept talking to me and rather constantly- asking me about my personal life, taking to one another about their personal lives, etc. They kept asking me does this hurt, is this o.k...like I'll tell you if it hurts or not, obviously this is what it is. They kept canceling and changing my appointments which was extremely irritating. The dentist was very considerate to my needs. They were willing to take extra X-rays and were willing to get into detail about what was going on. They took the extra time to remove a permanent brace that I wanted out of my mouth for approximately 20 years which I REALLY appreciated. The hygienist who preformed the cleaning I liked. She did a good job even though it was really fast. They did a good job on my fillings. Overall I am pleased with my experience and would recommend their office with my precaution as stated above.

Absolutely awful experience. I would not recommend this dental office…read more My experience left me feeling as though the priority here is charging patients and their insurance rather than providing appropriate patient care. I originally went in for a cleaning and was told that I had multiple cavities and needed a root canal. While sitting in the waiting room, I overheard two other patients being told that they also needed root canals. About a month later, a family member went to this same office and was also told he needed a root canal -- coincidentally, on the exact same tooth I had been told needed one. During my cleaning, the provider chipped the bonding off of my tooth. After this happened, she told me she no longer felt comfortable continuing with my visit and that I would need to contact another dental office to finish my care and have the bonding she chipped repaired. I immediately contacted another dentist, who brought me in, took new X-rays, performed a complete evaluation, and repaired my bonding. After their examination, I was told that I did not have the cavities I had been told I had and did not need a root canal. I was also informed that the bonding previously used on my tooth was not the appropriate bonding for that area, which contributed to it chipping. What is especially concerning is that I have repeatedly attempted to contact this office for an explanation and to address what happened, and I have been unable to get answers. Being told you need extensive dental work such as fillings and a root canal is not a minor issue. These procedures are costly, invasive, and can permanently alter a tooth. I am extremely thankful that I sought a second opinion before agreeing to treatment that another dental professional determined I did not need. Based on my personal experience, I strongly encourage anyone receiving a recommendation for major dental work from this office to seek an independent second opinion before proceeding.

The room I was in was not the cleanest, so I was a little put off by that. But the hygienist was nice and the doctor (the younger Shore) gave me a good once-over and sent me on my way. I returned for my second cleaning recently and was more impressed after getting to see more of the office. My hygienist was different this time, but I really liked her. She was very friendly and her cleaning didn't hurt a little bit even once! I also got panoramic x-rays done in a fancy machine and didn't have to bite down on all the things they usually put in your mouth for scans; those things hurt my pallet. After the cleaning and x-rays were complete the founding Dr. Shore came to check me out. He's so hip and cool, with all his little jute bracelets. He complimented my teeth and sent me on my merry way. Another thing I noticed is there are a ton of staff that work here. I think Shore-Snyder is single-handedly employing all of Norwood! I'll undoubtedly be back for my third bi-annual appointment.

I was charged $574 for a basic check-up and cleaning--far more than the $354 I used to pay at my previous dentist for the same service. Then, I was advised to replace a filling that I had never had issues with. The procedure cost $606 (insurance covered part, but I still paid $104 out of pocket), and it left me in pain. The filling wasn't properly leveled, which caused discomfort and further problems. Because of this poor work, I had to return and was charged another $200 just to fix the dentist's mistake. Even worse, I had to come back yet again with severe pain a week later and was charged another $123. These follow-up visits were the direct result of the original botched procedure, and I don't think I should have had to pay for them. To top it all off, during my most recent visit, the dentist refused to see me and sent an assistant instead--who diagnosed me with a root canal. I waited over an hour just to insist on speaking with the actual dentist. Between the excessive charges, painful procedures, and lack of professional care, I would not recommend this dental office to anyone. I've never had such a poor experience with a dentist.

Future - I'll go every 6 months and I want to enquire about teeth whitening. Since I was a smoker and want extreme white teeth.

What should I start? I had really bad experience at this dental office. I was treated with…read more sensitive teeth here by Dr. Garry Schneider, he did filling procedure to the sensitive teeth, 2 on the lower left side, 1 on the lower right side. But the sensitivity of the teeth were getting worse, so I went back to him, he said there might have bubbles in side of the filling( why there're bubbles? bad operation and skill I guess). So he made another appointment for me. Because of this appointment, I lost my job, ironically, when I went to the office for my appointment, the casher said Dr Schneider wan't in the office, he's on his vacation in Dominican Republic or whatever. So, I lost my job, my health insurance, for that appointment, but that guy forgot it, and was on his vacation?!! After that, I didn't blame them, things have happened, I let it go. I just hoped that my teeth get right treatment, so I could eat food without any pain. So I made a new appointment with him, he did refilling, after that the right side was good, but the left side is still sensitive. A few days later, my implant crown next to the sensitive tooth on the lower right fell out. I don't know why it fell out, maybe when he filled the sensitive tooth, and grinding, made the crown loose. So I had to made appointment again to put the crown back, it fell out again a few days later after was put back. so I made appointment again, I asked him to get a new crown, he gave me a quote for a new one, its total about $ 770 with insurance, and $1100 without insurance. I told him my insurance would end on May, so I tried to get it done before it ended, he agreed. I paid $150 to place the order, few weeks later, he put new crown on, but I was still charged $770. I should pay $770-$150=$620, because I prepaid $150 already. So I asked them why, they blah, blah, blah. During the time he put the new crown on, I told him, the left side is still sensitive, then he said that there may have a crack inside, and asked me to see a specialist. And he complained that he's never had a person's teeth with this kind of problem that I have. Yeah, maybe you just don't know much. My problem with this doctor is not finished yet. So when he put this new crown on, it needed to shape the crown to get the good bite, and fit. But, when he grind the crown, he grind the neighboring teeth too, I think he didn't mean to do that, but it just showed his bad skill on job, and carelessness for patients . They hurt, after his treatment, my good teeth became bad, and my bad teeth became worse. After all of these unpleasant experiences happened, I told myself that I forgive him, because he's young and maybe really don't know much about what he does, I just don't go back to the office again. But, today, I got a bill from this dental office, and shows I own them $389.29. I didn't sue them for all trouble they caused for me, instead, they are asking for more money from me. Really bad experience!
