I called the office last week and no one answered. This was last Friday . I called 4 times. Attached is the proof. No answer goes to voicemail. I emailed at least 3 times and only got a reply with a bunch of questions. After that no phone call no reply again. Just basically left for memorial weekend. The owner told me business was slow so they left early on Friday. I don't know any insurance brokers who take the weekend off. They don't wait 4 days to reply. Then after I sent an email the owner blamed me for not leaving a message. He didnt reply to Tuesday. Who leaves a message anymore anyway. Everyone is usually doing stuff online. I was hoping to get my insurance through this guy cuz he had good ratings with Mercury however, he doesn't want to call me back and then he sends an email saying thanks but no thanks. It looks like I need to be mindful of his other reviews they look like they're his buddies or at least some of them you could tell. Especially the ones I only have one or two reviews. All he had to do is just take responsibility for his behavior and I would have totally done my business with him but seems like he just wants to blow me off and go to someone else saying we're not a good match. No it's not we're not a good match you're not a good match. Don't make excuses saying your a small operation and business was slow that's not why you left. I was first introduced to Todd Payne via his outstanding relationship and reputation with Kearny Mesa Toyota and his expertise in TNC coverage (needed to legally drive and insure your personal vehicle for Lyft and/or Uber). I had also done my due diligence prior to contacting Todd Payne and was very impressed by the outstanding online reviews of Todd's insurance agency. I can honestly say that I am more than impressed with Todd, his easy going yet professional nature, his attention to detail, his efficiency in getting you insured (the first time I was insured on a new vehicle after just 10 minutes in his office!), and his willingness to not only match you to the product you need but to obtain the best price possible through his access to a plethora of high quality, best in class providers. Sure, you can get comparable rates dealing directly online with any of the major insurers but there is no way you are going to get the level of personal service that you will get with Todd. Although like most agents he represents many major brands (I have Mercury Insurance through Todd), he is a local guy that supports our community in a variety of ways, is very easily accessible via phone, email or my favorite, a nice sit down in his office conveniently located at Balboa and the 805. I contacted Todd Payne to get insurance for my wedding photography business and he set me up with a policy with equipment and liability coverage for shooting events. After having my policy for about a year I had a very close call and almost destroyed a $6k camera & lens, so I contacted Todd to see how I would have been covered if the equipment had been damaged. It turned out that Todd did not give me the correct policy for my business and NONE of my equipment was covered anytime I left my home with it! I bring well over $20k worth of equipment to any shoot I do, so I communicated my disappointment to Todd for selling me a policy that didn't properly cover my business, as well as my concerns moving forward. Todd didn't express an apology for his error or even address my concerns moving forward. He was just concerned with setting up a new policy and taking my money.
