Appointment was scheduled. I contacted the trainer to confirmed and was told he had a family emergency and was unable to keep the scheduled appointment, and he would later contact me once he returned. I was more so disappointment in him not informing me he would not be able to keep the appointment, there's a reminder in the mind body application and he failed to contact me upon his return. I have experienced several personal trainers since I relocated to CA not keeping appointments or not serious about the health and fitness industry.

He's a certified personal trainer, has won many, many competitions himself. This gives him not only the education and training he needs to help you reach your fitness goals, but also the personal knowledge that comes with having walked the walk. Santi's personality is secret weapon. He is friendly, nonjudgmental, and exuberant, knowing each of his clients by name. As you're working out, he will check on you regularly, offering advice and encouragement. You never use his gym without feeling that support. One important aspect of Body by Santi is that he's expecting you before you even come in for your workout. Your "tools" will already be set up, and each exercise will be explained and demonstrated to you (more than once, if you happen to forget what you're doing). That level of professionalism gives me confidence that my goals, as well as my wellbeing, are being carefully thought out. If you're thinking that all of this must be pretty costly, think again. I've been to three other trainers in my lifetime (two at private gyms like this, and one at a large chain), and Santi's prices are MORE than affordable. Lastly, you should know that Santi has clients of all ages and fitness levels. He runs his gym with an extremely non-judgmental ambiance, and clients appear to emulate that, following Santi's lead in providing a safe space for everyone to achieve their desired fitness level. Lisa has been my personal trainer for about 5 years now. I have lost 20 pounds, and I can do a "real" push-up for the first time in my life! I don't know how she does it, but she has a customized workout planned out for every session, and is always adding what I call new forms of torture, so it doesn't get boring. Ok so my dad age 79 was essentially bedridden after a series of hip surgeries. Physical Therapists…read moretold us to do certain stretches, but did not do really any hands-on help. I prayed for a miracle to help us find someone that could make a difference for my dad, and thank the Lord I found Dawn on Yelp. I reached out to her and she was the sweetest right away. She works with my dad 3 times per week. She has made an incredible difference with him. He is able to stand and march in place, even with a remaining leg contracture from surgery. With her help, the leg contracture has released more than we ever thought possible. He is really strong and healthy now. More than that, Dawn is an angel to communicate with. She's the highlight of his week because she's so sweet and empathetic, and makes the sessions so fun and enjoyable for him. She's a light in both our lives, and we are so thankful for her. Some people are blessed with different gifts and her gift of empathy and helping others-along with her amazing skillset and experience- is truly incredible.
