Yesterday the crew was here for the recent job of removing concrete landing step ( which started to fall apart during the winter) and replacing it with a granite step. That turned out to be a good thing because we then contacted Marchetti Masonry purely by chance from online search. John replied my call the next day and came in person to gave us a very reasonable estimate and explained everything clearly to us. He was pleasant to talk to and gave use good advice without pressuring us for anything. After we decided to use him to rebuild the chimney, we waited for a nice weather without having to schedule the work well in advance. Though sometimes it was hard to find him because he was too busy with many projects, he always responded to our voice mail. Today they finally finished my chimney after working on it for the last two days and I was very impressed by the new chimney. They tried to use the old bricks so to preserve the original style of the house. This also reduced the total cost of the project significantly. John and his assistant Andrew did all the work by themselves without subcontractors so you know exactly who is doing the work without the cost of middleman. They set up the scaffolding carefully using cloth padding between the platform and the roof to protect the roof and didn't use a single nail on the roof. After finishing the job, they cleaned up everything and left everything in its original condition. We are very pleased with their work and decided to ask them to repoint the other chimney on our house next week. I don't think I need to look for another mason in the future.

They began my project in May of this year and promised to complete the work by June 20th. However, they didn't finish the pool until the end of August. I also paid for a customized cover for the pool, but the owner kept giving me different excuses and repeatedly told me, "next week," just like he did about the pool. I also paid for in-ground outlets, which he insisted would be done at the end of the job, but he later claimed that the electrician couldn't do it because the inspection had already been completed. I would never recommend this company to anyone. The owner will say one thing today and deny it later. Please be cautious if you consider hiring them.

Orli missed my call but called back within half an hour. He was easy to work with, he showed up early for our appointment, he wore a mask, and he had a written quote to me within 48 hours. As far as pricing, he was very competitive vs the company we went with, priced about the same on some items and as much as 20% cheaper on others. I would have no hesitancy using him in the future. If you know what you want done and don't need a full blown landscape design, give him a call!

Michael and his crew did an amazing job. I had two very old paving patios and a few old retaining…read morewalls. I shared with him what I thought was possible and Michael and team filled in the details. They ended up giving me a whole new backyard. Michael met us at the stone gallery and was patient with us while we discussed options and tweaked the proposal. He worked with us and was onsite every day. They worked very fast. They did all of the following in 3 weeks and 2 days - took down a huge rock wall 4ft x 80ft, removed 6ft ft of earth behind that, added several inches of rock and paving substrate to remove the need for a step on 2 doors, put up a new huge retaining wall, and replaced 3 small ones with steps. They did all this on a hilly property. The grass was damaged in spots and they brought in new soil and flattened it out and seeded it. They are not cheap but provided a good value and likely a better product than other quotes. One example is using some of the extra retaining wall blocks to stabilize the paver patio stays in place on both sides. Every weekend they cleaned the street and made sure to not block traffic everyday. I have more projects for Michael and team and look forward to further improving my property. I'll add more photos when all the grass comes back and I get better patio furniture.
