I just received services from Charles at pro tech locksmith. I was unfortunately locked out of my car in the middle of a snowstorm with no jacket. So I called AAA expecting a 2-hour ETA. They gave me a immediate phone call, a quick eta, and then beat that ETA by about 20 minutes. Charles immediately arrived in a four wheel drive Mercedes cargo van with all the equipment needed and had three different solutions to get my car opened. He got to work right away, and efficiently got my car open, cycling through a couple different options until the car door was open with no damage to my vehicle. I appreciate the prompt work and professionalism, I was not expecting the four-wheel drive vehicle in the middle of a snowstorm. I don't think I've ever seen a four wheel drive Mercedes sprinter van but it was badass. My car key got frozen in the ignition and then was impossible to start the engine or withdraw the key. I called AAA, which sent out Johnna Handboy from Pro Tech Advanced Locksmith Solutions to save the day. Johnna had the problem figured out immediately in that after 70,000 miles the key had incrementally disintegrated to the point of getting stuck and explained that such deterioration was common in my car model. Johnna was truly understanding of my angst and put me at ease. Johnna made clear that I would either have to get a key remade or, if not as lucky, get my ignition rebuilt. QUICK RESPONSE--FAST SERVICE. I was locked out of my 1995 Toyota--an old beater that I really like--because my keys were stolen. The dealer was no help in making a new key--didn't work. I figured that the former owner must have changed the locks at some point. Charles with Protech showed up less than 30 minutes after my call and figured out the problem in a matter of minutes. It turned out that the dealer had cut the new key wrong! Charles checked the key the dealer had given me, noted the discrepancy and cut a new key using the original key code that the dealer had given me. It worked, first try. As most people know. these locksmiths work on the concept of setting up an appt to "get a price" so that they can pressure you to pay more money once they get there and you purchase.... out of them obligating you once they are there because of the "trip charge"....completely shady and unscrupulous, THESE guys are the only ones out of 98% of the companies out there that I called that didn't try that krap. The kid helped me and was nice as pie...the guy got to my house very quickly and charged the EXACT price he quoted....NO SHADINESS...super knowledgeable, quick work, and was the best price I found in the area. Donovan Garduno is absolutely amazing. I accidentally locked my keys in the trunk of my Nissan Sentra. The latch to open the trunk was not activated and so it was impossible to get into it. Some of my ingenious friends tried to open it up with a crowbar. They also used a sledgehammer to pry apart the back seats. Nothing would work. I was out in the middle of the Rockies at a summer camp with no cell reception. Over the course of 10 hours I had two different AAA reps come to help, but they could not open my trunk. They were the only company that would give me a quote over the phone and did not try to raise the price once they made the key to my vehicle. ProTech Denver Locksmith showed to be a top notch company. Lost my keys at the dog park they came and helped me make another key for my car. AAA covered almost all the cost for my key but there was a out of pocket cost and i did not have it. They were so gracious as to allow me to go home with my new key even though i did not have all the cost.
