I can give a pretty unique review of this school as I was one of the original students that attended the school when it first opened in 1997. To say that my experience there was horrific would be putting it mildly. This school is based off of antiquated fundamentalist Christian ideals and the staff have no interest in teaching children about the true love of Christ. They focus so much attention on the legalities of Christianity, rather than focusing on Christ's grace and love for mankind. I was 11 years old when my parents decided to move me to this "school" and it was worst decision they could have ever made for me. I was placed in Laura Young's 5th grade class and she personally attacked and victimized me every chance she got, even though I was only a young child. I was shunned by other staff members, teachers and students alike simply because I liked girly things such as wearing lip gloss or nail polish. Teachers would tell students not to eat lunch with me because I was "too sinful" so I spent most of my time there alone. It was incredibly damaging to my self-esteem as a young child. As far as the education goes, sure, it was better than the average public school but a good education didn't make up for the horrific treatment that I experienced at the hands of the faculty and their offspring. Laura Young made our 5th grade class memorize the declaration of independence word for word. Let me tell you that as someone who now works at one of the largest corporations in the United States and makes well over six figures a year, memorizing the declaration of independence did absolutely nothing to aid me in my career (or in any part of my life for that matter). I have looked at the current faculty as of 2023 and I still see some of the same faces that I did when I was in attendance at this school. Those same teachers and administrators tormented me, all in the name of God. Word to the wise...if you value your child's wellbeing and spiritual health, stay very far away from this school. There are plenty of other Christian schools in the area that still offer a good education, without the extreme judgment and psychological abuse that your child will no doubt experience if enrolled in this utter pathetic excuse for a school. read more

This is our 4th at the school and we have been so impressed with the academics, Bible teaching and general community of the school. Grateful for our teachers and staff that have gone above and beyond (especially these last 2 years) to make sure the kids are learning and prepared die the next grade ahead. This is an excellent school with a wonderful community. The faculty and staff are committed to God and to the families.

Let's see, where to start. I waited until everyone in my family was out of the school to post anything. Now that everyone is gone I can say my peace. I spent the longest 8 years of my life at that school. From sports, to class, to lunch, to recess when I was a kid, I was constantly getting bullied. Teachers saw it, and didn't react. Mostly because the ones bullying were the staff kids, and they are all golden children. You can look back in the yearbooks from 2008 onward, everyone who graduated was a staff kid. You don't survive otherwise. I got called out by teachers on the first days of school when I was sitting silently, I was constantly being called stupid and lazy although I worked my ass off until I had nothing left to give. Nothing is good enough. I had multiple incidents where I went to a teacher for help with an assignment and was told that they would not help me. This school demeaned me academically, physically, and spiritually. I hope the staff at providence look at this and think about the trauma they have caused in not just me, but multiple people who left before senior year. It's a matter of survival at this school. To parents with kids at the school: ask them how it's really going. Ask them how their teachers are treating them, and if they ask to transfer to a different school, trust them. read more

This prepares you for life's tougher challenges, ranging from crafting international policy to dealing with used-car salesmen to computer science. Many schools aspire to this, but Providence stands out by having a proven intentional curriculum designed for this, the Tri-vium (three ways), which matches the mental development stages of most children at the elementary, junior-high, and senior-high ages. Over 10% of Providence graduates have won some level of National Merit Scholar recognition, and two Providence debate teams have made nationals. Additionally, Providence fosters a warm caring family-like culture; it has gone to State in soccer (champs 2010, 2nd 2011) and volleyball and lacrosse most of the 2010s, and won sportsmanship awards; and it is among the most affordable private schools, with a more economically diverse student/parent body.
